Title: DADA Lesson #1
Coldstone_Harshing - July 28, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
Harshing came into the very familiar classroom and smelled blood, jars and ornaments were scattered everywhere filled with mysterious organs. one jar still contained a beating heart. he looked to the left and a real life human skeleton stood there, far above the room was a dragon skeleton hanging on the ceiling. To teh sides were books upon books and in the centre were ths student desks. his own desk and blackboard were at the front.
He would start again, from the start of the syllabus, all the way to the end.
He waited for his class to arrive.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 28, 2006 05:48 PM (GMT)
Finn walked into the classroom. He was on his best behavior as he would try to get a job here next year. "Good morning Professor Harshing." He said.
Victor Nox - July 28, 2006 06:11 PM (GMT)
Victor walked in to the dreary classroom and found a seat near the middle of the room. He took out his books and laid them on his desk. He looked at the professor and the other students in the class, then back down at the cover of his book.
Holly Black - July 28, 2006 06:39 PM (GMT)
Holly entered the classroom, and quickly looked around. She found a seat near the back and sat down. She looked around again at the organ-filled jars, wondering what they were.
Coldstone_Harshing - July 28, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Harshing ignored all of there greetings and one by one the students were tortured by his sharp stars and horrid glances. he licked his thin blue lips, ready to start the lesson, the others better hurry up if they wished to live.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 28, 2006 06:46 PM (GMT)
Finn figured that Ol' Harshing was in one of his neverending angry moods. He decided to just sit down.
Mike Waddle - July 28, 2006 06:48 PM (GMT)
Mike entered the room. He had learnt very quickly not to bother with this teacher. You wold get no kindness, no mercy and no sympathy. That wouldn't be so bad, if the teacher wasn't an evil b*stard.
Diana Wulfric - July 28, 2006 06:54 PM (GMT)
Diana walked into the class room already not happy about being there. She was still upset about what she had found out in the letter she had gotten. Quietly she took a seat near the back and sat her hands on the table top looking down at them.
Alexia Traut - July 28, 2006 10:29 PM (GMT)
Alexia walked in rapidly hoping she wasn't late. She then slowed down once seeing Harshing. She shuddered seeing him and then finally took a seat next to Diana in the back.
Gabriel Faulks - July 29, 2006 12:27 AM (GMT)
Gabriel walked into the classroom and sat down somewhere in the middle, and admired all the organs around him.
Asura Lucier - July 29, 2006 12:45 AM (GMT)
Asura entered the classroom and sat down, he didn't say anything. Harshing's lessons were always entertaining to a fault.
Harry J. Potter - July 29, 2006 07:12 AM (GMT)
Harry was about to enter the classroom before he realized he had forgotten his books. "Accio Defence Against The Dark Arts Book." Harry said quietly. One minute later the books came hovering towards him. He grabbed them quickly and entered the classroom. He sat down in a seat close to the door.

Coldstone_Harshing - July 29, 2006 03:15 PM (GMT)
Harshing stood demanding silence with his very presence. The room dimmed and the candles enflamed around his desk. All for effect.
"Welcome to defense against the dark arts," He said with a dark, hoarse voice that could murder an army. It didnt linger it was sharp ant to the point, colder than ice.
"I am professor Harshing, I will be called Sir or Master at all times," His pupils swivelled away into two bright but small bloodshots. Viens pulsated around his eyss, all red and pumping. He rose his thin blue lips into a crooked smile and his forked tongue licked them.
"When you are in my classroom only the best standard of work is acceptable, anything below outstanding will be destroyed. Any student below excellent will be tortured and any mind not capable of handling simple information will be removed from the persons skull!" Harshing paused, he began stepping in and aroun d the isles of desks, the cadles going out behind him and igniting in front of him.
"Failure to listen..." He snapped in a cruel tone "...is failure to live" the last word echoed with menace.
Kiki Relove - July 29, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
Kiki walked into the room, but she heard Harshings speach, she at down, and got her quill ready.
Coldstone_Harshing - July 29, 2006 04:15 PM (GMT)
Harshing as quick as lightning drew his wand and shot a ball of light at Kikis desk. Her desk blew into smithereens.
"Lateness is not tolerated. 10 points from your house." Harshing spat.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 29, 2006 04:16 PM (GMT)
Finn quickly took notes on every word that came out of Harshing's mouth. Okay, He thought, I can't mess up...
Coldstone_Harshing - July 29, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
Harshing walked to the front.
"I will be gopin g from stage one as I cover the entire syllabus the same every year. First we will be learning about basic protection. Who knows teh protection spell?"
Finnigan Tatupu - July 29, 2006 04:22 PM (GMT)
Finn rose his hand and waited for Harshing to call on him.
Coldstone_Harshing - July 29, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
Harshing looked at him and awaited an answer with a face that resembled thunder.
Asura Lucier - July 29, 2006 05:13 PM (GMT)
Asura crossed his arms and waited for Harshing to blow, even if Finnie had managed the right answer, the result probably would not be pretty.
Gabriel Faulks - July 29, 2006 05:43 PM (GMT)
Gabriel smirked, seeing the look on harshing's face, and waited expectantly for someone to lose his head.
Diana Wulfric - July 29, 2006 05:58 PM (GMT)
Diana looked at Lex as she sat down then turned her attention to Harshing. She kept quiet as he had asked the question and saw Finn raise his hand. She knew this wouldn't be pretty.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 29, 2006 07:22 PM (GMT)
Finn said calmly, "Sir, the protection spell, also known as the shield charm, is used to deflect minor to moderate spells and jinxes. Although it is not a difficult charm, many adults have a problem conjuring it. The incantation for this particular spell is Protego, which means protect in latin, Sir."
Mike Waddle - July 29, 2006 08:41 PM (GMT)
As soon as he had seen Harshing's face when Finn raised his hand he knew Finn would be in for it. He couldn't win either way. If he gave his answer as he had, without Harshing asking for it, he would be punished. If he'd waited for Harshing to ask then Harshing would call him 'Inncolent' and punish him. A win-win situation, for Harshing.
Kiki Relove - July 29, 2006 10:26 PM (GMT)
Kiki wanted to go to another desk, but didn't figured he would find something else to blow up. She waited for Harshings to Tell Finn if he was right or wrong.
Gabriel Faulks - July 30, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
Gabriel though in his head, "and you are one of the peoples that have trouble doing that spell." He allowed himself a thin smile.
Alexia Traut - July 30, 2006 03:39 AM (GMT)
Alexia bit her bottom lip. She just knew Harshing would do something and it wouldn't be pretty. She sighed and and sat up straight and waited to see what he did.
Coldstone_Harshing - July 30, 2006 10:03 AM (GMT)
OOC: You can all read Harshing like a book lol.
IC:
Harshing snarled at Fin, his blue lips curled downwards into a frown, his pupils dilated into red dots and he rose his wand had. Fins desk exploded.
"Has your arrogance grown so much that you speak without being spoken to," Harshing roared shattering the windows. "There is a place for people like you, the putrid filth that slimes along the floor, the sickening twisted molusc you are." Harshing paused. "Crucio!"
Holly Black - July 30, 2006 01:27 PM (GMT)
Holly smirked and bit her bottom lip, looking down at her desk. She had a feeling this class would be fairly amusing.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 30, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
Finn saw this coming, as he knew Had a bad reputation for cursing students. He stepped to the side and let the curse hit the wall. "I don't like being called arrogent for answering your question, sir," Finn got up from his seat and left the classroom.
Chris Norelharp - July 30, 2006 02:02 PM (GMT)
Mike watched the events. 'Harshing's losing his touch' he thought as he saw Finn block the spell. As finn had put it the shield charm protected against weak to moderate spells. Crucio was a powerful spell and should have easily destroyed the magical shield and carried on to hit Finn.
OOC:lol not a single one of you would have said what you did if I hadn't of said anything along those lines. COPYCATS!!!! :P
Alexia Traut - July 30, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
Alexia's eyes widened. She decided this was a class she was rarely going to speak in if n0ot never. She saw Finn leave the room. 'Harshings going to be a little mad.' She thought in her head.
Coldstone_Harshing - July 30, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
OOC: The unforgivable curses can not be stopped by any other magic. Protegos are for MINOR spells or hexes. You have been warned. Please edit your post. Also I thought finnw wanted to sdo well in DADA yet he just leaves the class. None of your post made sense.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 30, 2006 06:16 PM (GMT)
OOC: Edited... Although, the shield is ment to deflect, it makes sence that if powerful enough, it would disolve rather then deflect. Just curious, where does it say that unforgivable curses can't be stopped by other magic?
Finn wants to do well, but not if it means getting hurt/ penilized for giving a good answer. He is the kind of person that doesn't take crap regardless of who he is dealing with. also, he doesn't have to impress harshing.
Coldstone_Harshing - July 30, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
OOC: UNFORGIVABLE.... meaning once they are cast they cannot be stopped unless dodged. There is no way to block one, and I cant think of a quote but its common knowledge that unforgivables cannot be stopped.
IC
Harshing looked at his class.
"As I was saying, protego defends the caster for example if I cast a curse at you and you use protego the spell should be deflected.... FURNUNCULAS" 20 hexes left his wand and went for every pupil.
Mike Waddle - July 30, 2006 06:32 PM (GMT)
Within an instant Mike performed a perfect shield charm. Since the second that Harshing had cast the crucio he had put his hand in his pocket and gripped his wand. Ready for anything. The hex bounced off harmlessly.
Squall Leonheart - July 30, 2006 06:37 PM (GMT)
Squall walked into the class about half an hour late. he watched as Harshing cursed all the students, and smiled
"new years resolution Harshy? to kill us all?"
Coldstone_Harshing - July 30, 2006 06:40 PM (GMT)
Harshing held his wand on Squall and used magic to try and force him, and pin him onto the wall.
"SILENCE LEONHEART!"
Squall Leonheart - July 30, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Squall was forced back instantly to the wall, his arms spread out as through being crucified (imagine Wolverine whenever Magneto gets him.) he let out a gasp, but said nothing
OOC: anyone think that a gasp isnt silence?
Coldstone_Harshing - July 30, 2006 06:46 PM (GMT)
((Yes, a gasp isnt silence. And I based it on wolverine))
Harshing walked towards him smiling a crooked smile. He flicked his wand and a whip extended. He thrashed it across squalls face.
"You need to learn some manners you little f*ck!"
