I think its her biggest mistake yet. Dumbledore was my favourite character and I think he was of more likability that 2d harry potter. Everyone liked dumbledore, th eonly thing in book 7 I was looking forward to was dumbledores ressurection.

JK also screwed up by saying the the trio lives... She named the trio as she was talking about who she wanted to meet in real life, then she yelled back at the crowd that she was the only one who knows who lives... I think Dumbledore's portrait will help Harry somehow in the final book.

basically says everything doesnt it? but i think "Dumbledoreisnotdead" did say a lot. it COULD (although doubtful) be a red herring she's throwing into the works....

I only read some of this, but I have read all of DumbledoreIsNotDead and I think that their points are very strong as well, it's a tough one to call!

JW, haven't checked any sites or anything, how soon till JK finishes the book or has she?

I've been on holiday the past 3 weeks so have been deprived of newspapers and the internet :(

....J.K. Rowling said that Dumbledore's dead......So there's no if ands buts or maybes because J.K. said it and why would she lie to us?



They think that a 2007 release will be a good guess but don't quite know yet.

she could lie to us. her main priority is keeping the plot secret. she's incredibly good at this, and if she has to l;ie to us to throw us off, then so be it.

Yes, it just doesnt seem to make sense that the character that represents everlasting, nobility and love has been destroyed.

a release with the film is a bougus and horrible idea! they should have like 1 thing a year and release the book in 2008... becuase I want to wait for the next ahrry potter book!! I don't want it to come out sooner!

There is just too much evidence pointing to the contrary. The whole flying off into the distance, the missing wand, what Snape and Dumbledore say. Too many weird things happened in that tower if you ask me.

There is much more evidence that he is dead including... The author coming out and saying he's dead

Simner: how is a film release a horrible idea? you need to remember an authors stand-point on these things. her first priority, although she would say otherwise, is making money. why release one in 2008 if that means she isnt getting her money as fast.

Mel: how can you say that? the WHOLE SERIES has been forboding with bad things happening!

Will and Finn: i agree with Finn. the author coming right out and saying "he's dead" is a much bigger clue than anything.

I wasnt aware she did that. I guess that would be a bigger clue than anything lol.

Because the value of money goes up i dont know how much, but alot each year.

except even if the money value went up, it wouldnt be by much, and she wouldnt make much more even then.

there are three ways shed make money if they released the book with the film

1.the publicity will be massive. theres not just one thing coming out (the book for example) but there is loads. the film, the video game, the merchandise accompanying both of these. all money goes to her, and because she has the publicity over three genres (book, movie, game) she will get more people enticed to Harry

2.if people see the film, but had never read the book, and learn that the final book of the series had just been released, they may wish to read it

3.or she releases the book, doesnt have to worry about Harry Potter any more and releases different books earlier, therefore getting more money from them sooner, which also ties in with publicity, because more people will have heard of HP and how amazing they were and want to buy JK's work

SHe would make more materal money but not in comparison because as her wages go up (yes she has a wage from the publisher, her wages are called "royalties") shop prices also go up so she would be no better off. This process is called Inflation.

personaly im glad he's dead. in the book i was heartbroken but i hate the actor they got to replace the old one so im gunna jump for joy when i see him die in the movie

The Chronicles of dumblidore

once upon a time in a far off land there was this man. this mans name was albusses dumblidore. he was a good man. always helpin the poe folk. but this man was a strange man. the strange man was a wizard (dun dun dun)
he used his magic fo good and not fo evil (sumtimes). he was a married man. he was married to pepium ploofounder. she was gorgeous. she had long beufull green hair wich was caused by the long stringy snot dat hanged from her nose.
but one day dumblidore was sick of her snot and cheated on her. he cheated on her wit none otha then... Minerva Magonigle!!! the wicked wish of the west coast found out about this and spoke wit albusses. but albusses did not like the wish tellin him what to do. so he used his magic fo evil, and summoned a straw to his hand and gently inserted it into her heart. she died instantly on impact.
a week later, he was no longer madly in lub wit his wife. now, his heart was taken by magonigle. he lubed her so much dat he spent ten whole dollars on her, taking her to his favorite resturaunt, the food court in the aquarium. when he got home from the date, his wife smelt the sharks on him and knew he was cheatin on her. from dat moment on she never trusted him again.
he got so sick of her calling him every 5 minutes to find out what he was doin, that he ended up kickin her hiney out of the house, and getting a divorce.
now dumblidore and magonigle could go out in public anytime they wanted. so naturally, they never left da house. they always ordered out and watchted long movies. they got married. married in a church. in a church they were married. in a church. they were married. married in a church.
on their honeymoon they went to an ice hockey game. and dumblidore ended up gettin hit wit a puck. in da face. it hurt. really badly.
after a week their marridge wasnt goin so well so they went to a couples counceling. they paid a crap load of moolah and ended up aiight. all thanks to catrinka jo and catrinka jane. (they were not related)
then a special dilevery came! they had a baby! their babies name was Rigatoni prego dumblidore.
he was a baaaaaad egg. and robbed 5 banks by the age of 2 years old. so he had to leave. leave real fast. to france really fast. and he changed his name to figatoni rego potter.
he grew up. got married. had a kid. the kids name was james potter. then james grew up. got married. had a kid. the kids name was harry potter.
