dont like it. shes not how i imagined, and i dont think shes going to be any good at all.

I actually did imagine her like that, asw for the acting we cant say. In terms of image I think she looks ok.

I think her clothes are alright. But her face, and hair..not what I pictured. She looks too old, kind of.

I'm digging the purple hair... That's awesome. I don't think any of the actors look exactly like I pictured them in the books...

Actors that were almost like I imagined:

Alan Rickman (Snape)
Richard Harris (Dumbledore)
Brendan Gleeson - Mad Eye Moody
Robby Coltrane (Hagrid)

The trio look close enough as well.

Snape is the only one that looked like I imagined him to... The trio was okay... not good, but okay.

i dunno, i didnt imagine that. i imagined short hair, and i think the clothes are all wrong. i imagined a little fatter too.

i agree with Adam's list, although i didnt think Gleeson looked like my Moody at all.

I like Tonks except for that her hair is too long. It needs to be SPIKY. OR MAYBE her hair is just like that for the part that they were shooting but it's shorter in the beginning?

Richard Harris owned my soul. He was like....amazingly perfect for the role. But Gambon........*isn't going to say anything*


Robbie Coltrane and Alan Rickman are great, too, but I agree with Tim on Brendan Gleeson. He's not how I pictured Moody. But it's a book to film, and there are only so many people in the world, you can't expect to get it perfected.

Tonks looks ok.... not really how I pictured her
the only good thing that Gambon has ever done is in the GoF, after he welcomes Madame Olympe Maxime and does some kind of skip thing back up to his podium

Tonks is alright, not exactly how I pictured her but hopefully she'll turn out alright in the movie.

I agree about almost all the people on Adam's list except Mad eye Moody....he was alright.

Most of all I think they did alright for all the characters in the movies....they tried with what they had.

Everyone in the movies were all right, but I HATED Lupin and Sirius...they looked so old...

But as for Tonks, she looked a little too serious for her role, she should be more bubbly looking...I can't think of a better word.

lol I agree with you, and bubbly is a good word I think.

And another thing I have to agree with you on is the Lupin and Sirius, they were nothing that I pictured plus they didn't seem to fit the characters to well.

i dont see what was wrong with Lupin. i liked him. ok, so i hated Sirius completely, but i liked Lupin.

Cho Chang was suppost to be scottish... not by haritage... but she would have that accent... I agree with Mel on tonks... shes suppost to be bubbly and happy... and I think she should be like really skinny...

as for The trio they are okay they all looked most like there carries in the first movie...

since when was Cho meant to be Scottish? her name suggests Chinese, and i have heard nothing about her being scottish of residence. lots of Chinese people come to England for studies and things, they don't normally go to Scotland.

like I said maybe her parents gave her a Chinese name to reflect her harritage... maybe she grew up in scottland?

You missed off Raph Fiennes Tim.

As for Cho, I dont think she was ever mentioned as scottish but then again many people in the HP movies have a twinge of an accent for example Brenden Gleeson has an accent from God knows where.

Cho was NEVER described as scottish in the books.

none of the characters were really given locations. we know Harry has grown up in Surrey, Dean Thomas is a Londoner, Seamus Finnigan, whilst his location is never said, is a very Irish name, and Cho likewise, is a very chinese name. i dont believe there are any cases where someone is Scottish by what the books say. (although Cormac Mclaggen could be again from the name.)

Damn, that's not how I saw her at all.

Then again, that's what happens for about 3/4 of the people they hire and I end up warming up to them in some way. Lupin might not have looked the part, but he was a damn good actor. Besides that... a lot of them were lackluster, IMO.

i dont warm to them. i prefer my own characters in my head. Dan, Emma and Rupert are not the trio for me, the trio are the people i imagined, the ones on the front cover of the English editions of the books.

I never imagined her face or hair like that...she looks old. And i hope she's a good actor. Cos she'll have to be to make up for not looking anything like how I imagined her lol.
