Appearance


Melanie is an average 15-year-old girl, standing at 5'3" and weighing 110 pounds (Making her pretty short for her age. Some people actually think she's younger than she is because of this.) She has emerald green eyes, dark, wavy brown hair, and light skin. She’s one of few teens who hates tanning, but she loves the outdoors and will figure out a way to get there no matter what it costs. Even if she’s sick, she won’t deny herself sunshine. She doesn’t like make-up either. I guess you could say she doesn’t worry about her appearance too much, because she wears what she thinks is nice and comfortable, rather than the latest trends. So yes, she’s a jeans and a T-shirt kind of girl.


Personality

Melanie’s top priority in life is to have fun, therefore, she loves to laugh, and a smile is almost always on her face. She’s very outgoing, social, and loves to see people laughing and having fun, and it shows by her almost constant joke telling and passion for The Arts. Melanie hates to see people upset or disappointed, and even if it wasn’t her work it still hurts her. If she sees someone hurt or upset, she has to help them, even if they’re a stranger. Melanie tends to hold grudges against people, even if it’s over something completely stupid that didn’t concern her, and is easily annoyed and angered, and she can get quite scary when she’s angry. Melanie is a good listener. If someone needs to talk about something - anything - she’ll listen until they’re done. Melanie sometimes cares too much about other people. She can act like a mother, except worse, and is as easily put into a state of denial as she is made happy. In short, she’s very protective of people she cares about. She’s also loyal, brave, bold, mildly intelligent, and mischievous. She stands firmly for what she believes in, and can’t stand injustice. Melanie can sometimes be self-centered and ignorant, and has an almost annoying amount of modesty; Melanie can't accept a compliment.
As sociable as Melanie is, she likes alone time. She likes to take warm showers, and just stand there letting the water pour over her, take walks, garden, sing, listen to music or any other sound (like rainfall), or daydream. She finds it very relaxing.

Melanie has arachnophobia, and, due to a fear of falling, she has slight acrophobia. She dislikes most Slytherins, show-offs, people who think they’re superior to everyone, pink, anyone who is prejudiced against werewolves, dressing up, showy clothes, and most meat. Some of her interests are camping, reading, singing, acting, dancing, writing, and Quidditch.
