L walked hunched into the kitchen, it was too much of a stretch to walk upright. He needed sugar, he needed sugar now. He climbed on a stool, careful to perch..but it was hard to perch on a stool. Pointing to an idle elf, he said, "Get me some sugar."

Lori also walked into the kitchen just in time to here a boy say 'get me some sugar'
"Sugar! I love sugar!" she said in the overly happy vouice she hated.

L turned at the sound of the voice, almost falling off because he could never actually sit properly. Popping some sugar cubes in his mouth, he continued to stare at her. "For me, it's termed a necessity." If L wanted stay sane, then he needed sugar.

"Well to me sugar is a necessity too. It makes a world full of hurt or a bad day go away. It's my lifesaver, and you don't know how literally I take that."she said back to the boy. She walked over to him and sat dodwn "May I?" she asked

L readjusted his wieght and leaned forward on the stool, a very hard thing to do, if one didn't know. He rubbed his eyes with one hand, reaching for sugar with the other. "...Unfortunately, sugar is not going to cause my death, as will firewhiskey to many others."

"Uh ok." Lori awnsered back confused, but then she laughed "you still haven't awnsered my question about the suagar, and i don't wnat a slap on the hand if i reach for one and i'm not allowed."

To be perfectly honest, L was very possessive of his sugar. "I rather you not, get your own." He wasn't being blunt, he was just not very social, but she would probably be miffed now, from past experiences.

"That's ok." Lori called an elf over and asked for sugar like him. "bye the way I'm Lori Zilwatic what about you." Lori was trying to be nice and she wasn't exactly sure it was working with this strange boy.

His name was Leaf Issachar Lowliet...but it was a name he seldom used. It was always L. "I am L." He said.

"L? That's better than what your full name is how'd you get that nickname anyway?"
