Crystal sat at an empty table with a random book that she grabbed off the shelve. She smiled as she looked around at all the people in the library doing their homework with their friends. She hoped she would see Ian...and for the first time she might even want to talk to Alex...just because she was bored and lonely.

*Alex was sleeping at a table next to the one Crystal was at. God that book was boring, but he was being forced to read it by Mel, who thought that he needed something that would make him more intelligent and cultured. Hah, like reading a book would make him more cultured or intelligent. It was a load of rubbish. Whenever Crystal sat down he jumped up and almost fell out of his chair*
Alex:"s**t!" *he cursed*

" hi Alex..." she said in a monotone. " Why are you sleeping in the library when you could be sleeping in te common room...if you don't mind me asking..."

*Alex jumped again*
Alex:"Holy crap, what are you doing here?!" *he asked, not answering her question*

" Reading..." she said giving him a weird look. " what else whould I be doing here?"

*Alex gave her a really confused and disgusted look*
Alex:"You read?"

" Yes Alex I read!" she said shortly before looking back down at her book.

*Alex laughed*
Alex:"I didn't think you were that much of a loser!"

She stood up and walked over to him pinching his cheeks while saying. " Oh Alex I love you too." she let go sighing and put her book back on the self and smiled.

*Alex rubbed his cheek where Crystal pinched him. Ian picked that time to come into the library. All he heard was Crystal saying "I love you, too, Alex" and he freaked out and ran over to where he heard her voice coming from.*
Ian:"What did you just say to Alex?" He asked in a paniced voice, about ready to have a major nervous breakdown*

" Ian calm down I was being sarcastic..." she said walking back to the table Alex was sitting at.

*Ian followed her*
Ian:"How do I know that for sure?!"


Alex:"Because I don't love her, and I'm not that much of a jerk."


*Ian gave Alex a look*

Alex:"Alright, yes I am, but I don't."

Crystal laughed a little. " okay Ian...why would I love him?" she asked like it was obvious.

Ian:"I don't know! Because you know it'll make me upset if you love him?"


Alex:"And why would I love her?"


Ian:"Because she's perfect." *he replied, blushing a little after he said it. Alex mimed throwing up.*

Crystal smiled at Ian's comment then looked at Alex just as he was mimming throwing up, she gave him a half death glare.

*Alex laughed*
Alex:"You think I'm afraid of you, don't you?"

Ian:"We know you'll cry if we even breathe on you, so pretty much."

Crystal walked over to the chair next to Alex and sat on it lookng at him. " No I don't think you are scared of me....just glaring..is that a crime?"

Alex:"Probably in some countries like Indiana or something."


*Ian looked at Alex as if he were really stupid*

Ian:"Do you mean India?"

Alex:"No, I'm pretty sure it's Indiana."


*Ian sat down and put his head in his hands, not feeling up to saying anything more to him.*

Crystal gave Alex a look as if asking. ' Are you retarted?'. She looked over at Ian the back at alex shaking her head.

*Alex rolled his eyes. Pretending to be stupid was fun whenever it exasperated people. That was the only reason he did it. He ripped a page out of the book (which was Mel's. Boy, she'd be mad later!), crumpled it up, and threw it at Ian's head, laughing whenever it hit him. Ian gave Alex a look and then noticed where he'd gotten the paper. It was his turn to laugh now.*

Crystal watched Alex then looked at Ian smiling a little. " Wow..."

*Ian looked over at Crystal*
Ian:"You do know that my sister is going to kill him for that as soon as he goes back to the common room, right?"*he was still smiling, finding this whole situation amusing*

Crystal laughed and nodded. " Erm, does alex know that?"

*Alex laughed*
Alex:"She'll never notice. She's not smart enough to."

" how much you wanna bet?" she asked.

Alex:"Everything I own." *he replied*

Crystal rolled her eyes. " okay whatever..."

*It was silent for a moment after that. Alex stood up and shouted-*
Alex:"IAN HUNTER IS GAY!" *as loud as he could. Ian glared at him. A lot of people laughed, but not knowing who he was, (except for a few Gryffindors and 1st,5th, and 6th years. There weren't very many though)*
Ian:"That's very nice of you, Alex." *he said sarcastically. Meanwhile, Pince was fuming.*

Pince:"Who said that?"

*Alex stood up again and grinned*
Alex:"I did!"

Pince:"Detention, tonight!"

*The grin faded from his face and he sat back down, grumbling. Not only were the other people laughing harder now, Ian was, too.*

Crystal did a face palm when Alex yelled then laughed when he got detention.

*Alex glared at her*
Alex:"Shut up, dork."

Ian:"She's not a dork, Alex, don't say that." *he warned*

" Well Alex how do you figure I'm a dork...I'm smart but not a dork...I mean, how stupid could you be to do somthing like that?" she asked.

Alex:"Stupid, but cool." *he pointed out*"People like people who get detentions."

*Ian groaned*

Ian:"Oh right, I almost forgot that our entire family is letting themselves go down the drain to make other people happy."

" Excuse me cool? I don't think so...I'm a person and I don't like people who get detention..." she pointed out.

Alex:"Well you're not a cool person." *he explained cooly*

Ian:"She's cooler than you'll ever be, because she doesn't pretend to be something she's not to get people to like her."

*Ian paused, realising that that meant he just called himself a dork. He shrugged it off.*

Crystal smiled a bit. " See people like me!"

Ian:"People love you." *he corrected*


*Alex rolled his eyes*

Alex:"Whatever you two say."

Crystal smiled. " Aw Ian that's so sweet!" she looked at Alex.

*Ian smiled*
Ian:"Sweet, but true." *he replied*


*Alex groaned*

Alex:"Oh my god are you going to get all...romantic?"

Ian:"If it annoys you."

" Alex,your just jealous!" she smiled.

Alex:"Why would I be jealous of you?"
