Kaliska sat in the waiting room with her head tucked gently into her hands. She gave a great exasperated sigh before looking up at the people around her. A witch with a very angry looking crup attatched to her leg sat across from her and a wizard with a purple bulbous nose sat in a seat in the corner. Other than that she was alone with her scheming thoughts.

She licked her rosy lips and crossed her legs letting her hands fall to her lap. What a day, she thought placing her hand over the large triangular gash in her arm, the blood trickled through her fingers and down her wrists before she tightened the linen clothe around it.

Damn the luck. She had to be the clumsiest person on the faceo f the planet.

Tanner walked into St.Mugos looking around. He wasn't hurt that bad just a bloody nose from a fight. He sat down next to a girl who was also bleeding then looked around at all the other people. He sighed the blood from his nose almost dries up but it was still broken. He looked at the girl. " Hey..."

Kaliska was startled by the voice so close to her. She hadn't noticed anyone sitting down and so it came as a quite a surprise. She turned her head to look at his face, his nose caked with blood, that seemed to be drying in a crimson patch around his septum. She touched her own nose ring tentively, thinking of the damage it could do to her if she were hit.

Reality struck her as she recognized the greeting. She smiled warmly, her rosy lips curving upwards, the smile touching her golden eyes.

"Hello," She put out her hand, stained with blood from her wound unconsciously,

"Kaliska Thylasine..." She introduced herself.

Tanner shook her hand and smiled. " Tanner Mantrex, Nice meeting you. What happened?" he asked.

"I fell." She chuckled realizing how ridiculous it sounded.

"I fell onto a knife, its a long story but when push comes to shove I should not be able to handle sharp objects...ever." She added quickly her cheeks suddenly becoming flushed and her eyes averting to the floor. She was so idiotic...

Tanner smiled and nodded. " Well then I'll keep a mental note never to let you handle anything sharp...pointy..dangerous..." he said watching her.

She smiled, looking up golden eyes filled with curiousity.

"Looks like someone got the best of you..." She chuckled happily.

" oh...yeah.." he said looking crossed eyes down at his nose then back at her shrugging.

She smiled empathicly, and let a loch of hair fall in front of her eyes. She wondered how to go about this. She wasn't good with people, they didn't seem to think the same way as her and so responding to them was always a challange.

What if she said something stupid? People didn't forgive as easily when some social mistake was made. You were marked as an outsider. Perhaps this was why she dressed the way she did. Fishnet stockings, tattered sneakers, her hair tricolored and shining in the hospital light, her t shirt depicted the name of a band and her eyeliner was black as night.

"Sorry, I wasn't trying to be condesending..." She tried to apologize.

Tanner smiled. " It's okay you weren't..."

"Good." She sat akwardly, arm still bleeding, her eyes dug deep into the floor.

" What's wrong? Well other than your bleeding arm?" he asked.

Her eyes snapped up. She took in a deep breath and licked her lips nervously.

"Im a little dizzy..." She said squinting her eyes a bit. The nurse finally came in and twitted over to the two.

"Both of you have similar wounds...We'll kill two birds with one spell. Come on then...Lets go." She darted off in the other direction and Kaliska stood to follow looking back at Tanner wondering if he would come also...

Tanner looked up at the nurse then stood up walking past Kaliska knowing she was gonna follow.

Kali knitted her eyebrows and followed feeling slightly aggresive she caught up to him and nudged him slightly, playfully.

Tanner smiled and fell over to the side a little then nudged her back slightly.

She chuckled, and let her eyes fall to the floor.She didn't know what to do with boys. She was bad enough with people in general. He wasn't talking much however and his little reaction encouraged her.

He watched the nurse she finally came to a stop he looked back at kaliska smiling then at the nurse frowning a bit.

She knitted her eyebrows, she was growing exhasperated of the hospital already and the cut on her arm hadn't stopped bleeding since she had came it. She would like to be in much more of a comfortable situation than this, maybe then she could be her loud, playful self, but it wasn't going to happen and so she crept up close to the boy her golden eyes wide and whispered.

"Once we're out of here you want to grab a bite or something?"

" Sure!" he smiled and the nurse came over to heal them. When she was done Tanner lifted his hand up to his nose and sighed a sigh of relife. " thank you!" he said to the nurse then looked over at Kaliska smirking.

She smiled but blushed at the nurse's cruel scrutiny. Damn the woman pressing so close to her fiddling with ehr wound. With a few waves it was good as new and she was eager to get out of this place. But of course it was one of those...have to check you all out nurses...

And Kali didn't like that.

"Did you break your arm and set it yourself?" She snapped quickly, looking over it then moving her tee shirt, scars visiable on her upper arm.

"Lets go." She said ignoring the lady and walking out the door swiftly.

Tanner looked for Kaliska then at the nurse then back at Taliska, "okay" he said following her.
