Casey sat in the corner of the library, unsurprisingly by herself. Where most people traveled in groups Casey liked to travel alone. A loner by nature. She tucked a loose strand of copper hair behind her ear thumbing through the pages of a book she had just picked off the shelf. A book on greek mythology, a subject that had always interested her. But her mind wasn't on reading, quite unusual for her really. She glanced out of one of the large windows, it was lovely outside. But there were so many out there, it was sure to be loud out there. She sighed and turned back to her book, wishing only for a split second that she were back at home.

Oliver stepped into the library after wandering the grounds. He was looking for a quiet place to relax after being involved in an intense snowball fight. His cheeks were pinkened from the cold wind, and his hair dripped from the melted snow. He looked around, trying to spot someone he knew, but with no luck. Since his choices were slim, but he still felt like coversing with someone, he make his way over to a girl sitting by herself. "Hi." He said as he brushed his damp hair from his face. "Is it ok if I sit?"

Casey paused for a second her big eyes looked up and widened as she saw that a boy stood before her. She quickly averted her eyes looking anywhere but him. "Y-yea s-s-sure" she managed to say quietly. She knew she shouldn't always be so scared and nervous around guys, but she couldn't help it, a fear was something hard to get rid of.

Oliver sat across from her and was going to hold out his hand to shake, but he could sence some unease about her. "I'm Oliver." He said instead. He leaned back in his chair, looking her over, just out of habit.

Casey watched him sit down but quickly averted her eyes whenever he looked at her. "I'm Casey." She told him, her hand went quickly to her hair where she twisted her copper waves about her fingers, a nervous habit she had.

Oliver looked down at the table and grinned when she wouldn't look at her. "Nice to meet you." He looked back up and rested his elbows on the table, puting his chin on his arms. His hair fell in his eyes and he looked up at her through strands of dark hair. "Up to anything good?" He asked.

Casey closed her book and set it lightly on the table beside her. She glanced at Oliver her eyebrows raised ever so slightly. Maybe he was all bad, but she still couldn't get rid of that nagging fear that he might hurt her. "Pleasure to meet you too" she said not quite as nervous as before but still rather cautious and weary. "Not really no."

Oliver silently read the book title, and suddenly realized he must have disturbed her reading. "Did I interrupt your reading?" He asked, sitting up now, an 'i'm really sorry' look on his face.

Casey glanced at him and noticed the apologetic look on his face, "No you didn't, I couldn't concentrate on the words at all so no worries." She assured him, her old nervousness disappearing if only for a second

"Ok then." Oliver smiled and leaned back in his chair again. "I just had an awesome snowball fight." He said, trying to start a conversation. "Do you like the snow?"

Casey raised her eyes to take in his features. With a chuckled she said, "I love the snow, but it's too cold for me outside. Who won the fight?"

"My team, of course." He grinned. "But, I'll admit, it was close." He flicked his hair out of his eyes once more. "How can you love the snow, but not play in it?" He asked with exaggeration in his voice, just for effect.

Casey smiled slightly, maybe she should take a stroll outside. With a shrug she explained "I never said I didn't play in the snow. But sometimes I prefer to enjoy it's beauty from the inside where it's warmer."

"That makes sense." He said with a shrug of his shoulders. "Would you like to go outside with me? I wouldn't mind going back out. Unless this is one of those times where you'd like to look at it from inside."

Casey smiled, "Sure, why not? I've been debating whether or not to go outside all day."

You could see the excitement in Oliver's eyes as he jumped out of his seat, and pulled his black gloves back on his hands. He bounced on the balls of his feet, a grin on his face as he waited for Casey. "Do you need to get anything? A coat or scarf or anything?"

Casey laughed at his excitement, "Nah I'll just use magic... that's what it's here for" she said quietly and with a flick of a wand she made a coat, scarf, gloves, and hat appear. Of course everything was a little ugly, she hadn't quite managed to perfect getting exactly what she wanted yet. She shoved on her stuff and looked at Oliver expectantly. "So where are we gonna go?"

"Outside." He chuckled. Oliver began walking to the library door. An idea struck him and he turning around to face Casey again "We should build a snowman!" He said, his hand on the doorknob.

Casey laughed and the librarian shot her a mean look that shut her up. "I havn't built a snowman in so long!" she said excitedly
