Casey sat at a small table by herself watching all the couples dancing. She smiled to herself, wishing that she could find someone to be happy with. But of course before that could happen she'd have to get rid of her fear for guys. She sighed before taking a sip of water. Her copper hair was down and curled, and she had on black high heel shoes, her dress looked like this click(for lack of not knowing how to describe it)

Kaden walked into the GH and looked around he was wearing a simple black tux which he hated and then he spotted Casey he wasn't sure if he should go over or not. He did, he sat on a chair next to her and said. " hey Casey..."

Casey smiled as Kaden came over and quickly realized that she wasn't so scared of him anymore. But she still held a strong fear that her might hurt her. She pulled the sash/scarf(what ever you call it) tighter around her arms hiding what bruises remained. "hey kaden... what's up?" she said, a nervousness still noticeable in her voice but not quite as bad as before. He hadn't hurt her so far.

" Nothin...the great hall looks amazing!" he smiled and looked around then let his gaze fall on her once more.

Casey followed his gaze around the hall a smile forming on her lips. "Yea it really does." she said as she turned to look back at him before her gaze fell to the glass she was holding

" You look really nice!" he said smiling.

Casey smiled, really truly smiled, and looked up at him, "Really?? Thanks. You do too!"

" thanks..." he smiled back and looked at his hands still smiling.

"so what have you been up to lately?" Casey asked, beginning to feel more at ease with him.

" nothing much..homework...you?" he asked.

Casey nodded, "The same ... homework, homework and more homework"

" I don't understand why we get so much..." he smirked.

Casey laughed, "Because all teachers are evil and believe they must take control of every aspect of our lives. And if they don't give us too much homework then we have time to have fun and that would just be the end of the world"

Kaden smiled and laughed a little, he was wondering if he asked her to dance she would. He was scared she would say no so when the slow song started he fell silent.

Casey sat in her own thoughts for a second, could it be that she might actually him? Before she'd been so scared to even talk to a guy... but around him she felt a small tiny sense of security for the first time in her life. She glanced over at the couples dancing and then back at Kaden. Not for the first time she didn't know what to say to break the silence

Kaden played with one of his lip rings, his nervous habit then looked back at her. "Um Casey...?" he asked blushing a bit.

Casey looked at him, she noted that he was blushing and had a vague clue of what he was trying to say. She smiled, not one of her fake small smiles, but a big happy one. She blushed lightly, not quite sure what to say but nodded slightly.

" Would you...do you..." he paused for a minute this was hard, he really liked Casey and he's never tried to ask somein he liked this much to dance. " wouldyouliketodancewithme?!" he asked quickly.

Casey smiled at Kaden. She managed to get at what he was asking. This would be her first dance ever with a guy. With a bit of a laugh, "Yea" she said happily.

(okie gosh just leave me all alone.. :whimper: oh well i'll be on when you get back... not that i'm addicted or anything..)

Kaden smiled and stood up holding a hand out for her to take.

Casey smiled as she stood up taking his hand. For a while she could forget any harm ever brought to her. Out of habit she pulled her sash/scarf thingy-ma-bobber tighter around her arms keeping the bruises hidden as she had done so all her life.

When they got to the dance floor he carefully and hesitantly put his hands around her waist.

Casey smiled as they reached the dance floor, suddenly all too concious of the fact that she had never danced before. She placed her hands lightly on his shoulders

he smiled as they dance, when the song ended he stopped dancing but didn't let go of her just looked at her.

Casey smiled, sad that the song had ended but happy to just stand there with Kaden. She caught his gaze and her eyes lingered on him.

Kaden smiled at her he never felt this way with any other girl. To tell you the truth it kinda scared him, that he could feel like this.

Casey wondered briefly if she let Kaden in would he hurt her just like her father. She was scared again, worried that his hands would bruise her. She wanted to get rid of that fear, but it kept nagging at her. And yet, for the first time ever, she felt somewhat at ease with a guy, she'd never felt like this before, she'd never allowed herself to. And that scared her more than anything

Kaden just looked at her admiring her. " Casey...I don't know why but..." he stopped himself watching for her reaction.

Casey glanced down at her feet and felt herself blushing. She felt that old fear creeping in, but she looked back up at Kaden a smile on her lips, determined to push that fear away.

Kaden too looked down his face turning a light shade of pink. " I don't know why but I think i have feelings for you..."

Casey smiled at his words, her pale face turning to a light shade of pink. Part of her dreaded those words, but a bigger part felt elated. "I.. I think... that i have feelings for you too" she told him quietly.

Kaden looked up at her and smiled happily. " R...really? " he asked her.

With a smile Casey nodded, "yea.." she said slowly color rising to her already flushed face.

He just wanted to jump up with joy and kiss her but he refrained, and just smiled at her with a cheesy grin on his face.

Casey felt bubble of happiness explode within her, the fear was subsiding a little bit, but it was still there as always.

" Come on let's go sit down..." he smiled and started walking hoping she would follow.

Casey followed him to their seats, still concious of the bruises on her arms and making sure to keep them covered.

Kaden looked at her for a moment then was about to ask her something but decided to do it another way. He took a napkin off the table and a pen from his pocket. He wrote on it 'don't hate me for asking but...first kiss time?'

Casey looked at him quizically when he started writing on the napkin. She read the napkin, a smile forming on her lips and the color rushing back to her face. She laughed lightly and looked up at Kaden, any previous fears suddenly forgotten. "I won't hate you for asking.."

" so is that a yes?" he asked her smiling.
