Parker stood near the entrance of the Great Hall in his black tux which he seldom wore. His hair was, surprisingly, combed but not to the point of over-tidiness... it just looked nicer than normal. He wrung his hands tightly as he looked for Kasey, he was extremely nervous having never gone to a dance with a date before.

Kacye walked down the stone staircase into the entrance hall. She was messing with her dress the whole time she was wearing this along with black high heels. Her hair was in curls around her face. She let out a shaky breath as she spotted Parker. She walked over to him and stood beside him.

Parker smiled as he spotted Kasey and forced himself to stop fidgeting. "You look amazing.." he told her when she got closer before leaning in to give her a quick kiss. "Shall we go in then?" he asked offering his hand nervously. He really had no clue how to act or what to do

Kacey smiled. " thank you, you look handsom!" she took his hand she hadn't ever been to a ball before it was all new.

"Thanks" he said a bit shyly. With a smile Parker walked into the Great Hall with Kacey, he gasped quietly as he quickly took in the transformed hall. "They did a great job!"

Kacey looked around, " Yeah it looks amazing!"

Parker looked around, noting the tables and such. "Would you like a drink?"

" Sure..." she smiled " I'll go find a table..." she smiled nervously.

"Alright.. I'll be right back then" he said smiling back at her as he headed off for drinks. He didn't understand why he was so nervous, then again it was his first formal dance... In a few minute Parker had gotten them both drinks and found Kacey at a table. "Here you go" he said as he handed her her drink

She crossed her legs and smiled. " Thanks..." she figited around with her dress a little and watched the other couples dance and walk by them.

"Welcome" he said as he looked from Kacey to the dance floor. He wondered if it would really be a good idea to ask her if she wanted to dance, he wasn't that great at dancing... "So.. er... would you like to dance?" he asked quickly

Kacey looked at him biting her bottom lip as he talked, he was talking rather quickly so it took a moment to understand what he was saying. She smiled and finally figured out what he was saying. " Sure!"

Parker smiled, standing up he offered his hand to Kacey. "I have to admit though, I really kinda suck at dancing"

Kacey smirked. " i'm not the best either..." she took his hand and stood up.

"Well that's alright then, we can both suck together" he said with a bit of a laugh walking with Kacey to the dance floor. Once they were they were he kind of awkwardly placed his hands on her waist

Kacey smiled and put her hands around his neck biting her lip lightly.

As the pair started to dance Parker smiled down at Kacey, "What do you have planned for the new year?"

Kacey shurgged " Dunno, I wanted to spend as much time with you as i could...I'm also going to go visit my mum...if you want to come..." she said softly looking down and blushing a little.

Parker's smile grew. "I'll go if you'd like me to.." he said, feeling a small pang of sadness knowing that he couldn't bring Kacey home to his own parents

" I'd love you to come....meet her..." she smiled a little and gave him a little peck on the cheek.

"When are you thinking of going?" He asked, a bit nervous now at the prospect of meeting of her mum. What if she hated him??

" Um...this week sometime..." she said smiling a little.

Parker smiled, "do you think she'll like me?"

" I think she'll love you!" she said touching his face with her palm softly.

Parker laughed, "Well that's good..." he said before leaning in to kiss her

She smiled and kissed him back and after a minute or two pulled away.

"I never met anyone's mum before..." he stated, the nervousness ebbing into his voice

" Really?!" she asked. " She is really gonna like you!! You get to meet my brothers too..." she said giggling a little....they are the only ones you should be worried about..." she said jokingly.

Parker rolled his eyes playfully, "Well jeez!! that makes me feel so much better!!" he said jokingly.

Kacey smiled. " Aw, they're just protective is all!"

Parker laughed, "Yea i know how that one works! I just hope they won't beat me up or anything"

" Just watch what you say!" she smiled before adding. " They won't beat you up I won't let them!" she smirked.

"Ha no worries there!" he said with a soft laugh, "Well as long as you won't let them then it should be fine"

Kacey laughed. " Yeah no worries!"

"I think I'll have to take you with me next time I go to America so you can meet my Uncle" he said... his uncle had been the closest thing he'd ever had to having a real father after his parents had kicked him out.

" I'd love that!" she smiled the song had ended a while back but they were still dancing and talking.

Parker smiled, he hadn't even noticed that the song had ended, nor did he really care. "He'd love to meet you, i know that"

Kacey tilted her head to one side and smiled. " Really?!"

"Of course! I still keep in touch with him, so he already knows all about you" he said with a laugh

Kacey smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. " I feel special now..."
