Simner sat in the great hall with a plate full of food infront of him. He moved his peice absent mindedly before he knew it the peice was smashed to bits. One agein he was playing wizards chess with the gray lady. She always seemed to beat him at this game. He didn't know why. He had though he was a decent player, but maybe its the thing about being six hundread years old. Who knows. He finaly gave up and began a new game. He muched on a peice of chicken as he played.

"hey Sim." she said happily, felt like she knew him much better after the visit to the doctors over the vacations. she sat down next to him,"ooh chess." she said. she hadn't played that since ages. the last time she played was with shelley, and she remembered! she realised they had just started the game. she piled up the plate with food, watching the game with interest.

"Hey, Aly" he said. He decided to give her a new nick name for just the sake of new things. He gave her a tight one handed hug and his pawn got killed by the gray ladys Knight.

"oh!" she said when his pawn got killed."no more distracting, promise!"

"Your not distracting me! I lose anyway" he said laughing. He took another bite of fiid. "So 'ow have 'uo been" he said though a mouth full of food/

she laughed, he sounded funny with the mouth full of food "never been better!" she said happily,"you? went back home for the vacations?"

"Naaa just around here... though I mostly hung in the dorm... Lots of Holiday Homework... blech" he said rolling his eyes and making a face.

"oh my god! I had so forgotten about that!" she said wondering when she would complete it."hey Sim by the way have you completed yours?" she asked giving a sweet smile *hint*.

"Yess..." he said holding it out at another pawn got killed. "I from what you say I guess you haven't?" he asked raising an eyebrow and laughing.

Alice sighed."can you give me your homework for a day? please! i have to finish potions, DADA and transfiguration by tomorrow. theres no way i could do it on my own in a day! please please please..."she tilted her head making a very sad face.

"Alright" he agreed "But only this once" he said knowing full well if it would happen agein he would still give in.

"oh i love you!" she said giving him a one hand hug.
"and oh..." she poked the patatoes in her plate the way she did when she was thinking something with all her concentration.

Simner huged her back cheerfully. He smiled at her "What?" hge asked curiously.

"there'll be enough time in the evening to com;plete the homework. i can do whatever in the morning." she said happily."you have any classes today?"

"The the normal stuff I have had forst the last year and a half" he said. He was of course reffering to being in NEWT year.
