Casey walked about, completely absorbed in her own thoughts. She was out of school uniform, in a pair of jeans, grey converses, and black t-shirt. Her long copper hair was down and curly.
The past couple days she had been toying with the idea of going home to visit her dad, she loved visiting, but she was also terrified to see him. Maybe she should go for just a day, it wouldn't completely kill her. She was so absorbed in these thoughts that she paid little attention to wear she was going, and tripped on her own feet falling right on her butt. "Ouch..." she said miserably

Alice had walked by at presicely that moment. she turned around when she heard someone fall."oh my god, i'm so sorry!" she said nervously, helping her up. It was the new year and she had made resolutions, one of them was 'not bumping into people.' well this was similar, and not even a month has passes, and the resolutions are broken."are you alright?" stupid question. she told herself.

Casey blushed slightly, she was such a clutz. "Why are you sorry!? I tripped over my own feet, I wasn't really paying attention" she said rather sheepishly. "I'm fine" she said getting up and brushing the dirt off of her, "I've had worse falls"

"oh thank god." she realised what she just said,"i'm really clumsy too. oh! i dint mean you are clumsy! i am you know a dozen of people trip everyday because of me. and i trip over things a thousand of times. so..." she said in one breath.great! scare them all away!she said to herself. another resolution broken, she had to stop rambling and talk in a normal human way and think twice before she opened her big fat mouth.

Casey laughed lightly, "Oh no worries, I'm extremely clumsy, I trip over everything. I'm lucky to make it through the day without falling up or down stairs. That can be a bit of a distaster" she said with a bit of smile, she thought that for a very shy person she wasn't being very shy for once, that was good.

Alice smiled back, glad casey din't run away,"we have something in comon then."
"by the way, I'm Alice."she said smiling.

"It seems we do... I'm Casey" She introduced herself, forming a smile. "5th year Hufflepuff" she said just cutting to the chase knowing that sooner or later the question was bound to come up, "What House/year are you in?"

"thats great, i'm 5th year hufflepuff too." she said smiling, wondering how she had never seen her around.

"Well there's another thing in common" Casey pointed out with a smile, it did seem odd to her though that she had never met or talked to Alice before.

"so what were you upto?" she asked casually, to break the ice.

Casey shrugged, "To be perfectly honest, I really don't know where I was going. I was just kind of walking... "
