*Ever since Alex had told him that Mel was thinking about 'running away', Ian couldn't do anything but worry. What if she never came back? What would happen? He couldn't concentrate on studying, but he kept trying, thinking that maybe that time he'd be able to, but he couldn't. His grades were slipping, but he couldn't tell Mel that he knew. He just couldn't....*

Crystal walked into the library carrying her books and had a bag over her shoulder. She spotter Ian and smiled sligthly. " Hey Ian."

*Ian only lifted his head up a little, and only long enough to give Crystal a small smile*
Ian:"Hey Crystal." *he greeted*

Crystal bit her lip softly, she could tell something was upsetting him. " Mind if I sit?" she asked softly.

Ian:"Nope." *she replied, still not looking up at her*

Crystal sat down setting her bag down lightly on the ground. " What's wrong?" she asked sounding concerned.

Ian:"Too much is going on at one time." *he told her vaguely*

Crystal touched the side of his face lightly. " Come on Ian talk to me abou thtis please?"

*Ian lifted his head even less this time. Now only one of his eyes could show*
Ian:"If I told you, you'd tell someone else, then everyone would know and what is supposed to happen won't happen."

Crystal let her hand drop. " You don't trust me?" she said looking down.

Ian:"I do...but I don't know if she does...." *When he said she, of course he meant Mel, and it was Mel's decision who knew and who didn't*"But to put it in simple terms, my sister's going to do something stupid and I'm worried about her."

Crystal looked back up at him for a moment then back down at her hands and nodded. " Oh okay." she said softly.

*Ian stayed as he was for a moment before realizing that if he didn't tell someone, he would blow up. He trusted Crystal more than anyone else, too....*
Ian:"She's going to run away somewhere with Mark because she thinks that Liam wants her to."

Crystal blinked a few times at him looking like she didn't understand even though she did. " What? She asked softly.

Ian:"She's going to leave because she doesn't care about how what she does effects anyone except herself!" *he said a little too loudly as he raised his head and started to cry*"She pretends like she does, but she really doesn't. She doesn't care how hurt I am!"

Crystal watched him for no more than a second before she wrapped her arms around him wiping some of his tears away. " Ian...It's going to be alright...I promise!" she said softly into his ear.

Ian:"How can you be sure? What if she never comes back...?" *Ian was now blushing along with his crying because he felt so incredibly....girly.

He knew he wasn't macho or anything, but weren't the guys supposed to be the ones comforting the sobbing girls?

Stupid gender roles.*

" Ian Mel would never do a thing like that!" she said rubbing his back lightly. " She couldn't do a thing like that because she loves you too much to leave you!"

Ian:"She would. She has before. Once she has her mind set on something nothing stops her!"

Crystal didn't know what to tell him. She just held him running her hand over his cheek.

*Ian looked around at some of the other people in the library. They were all making fun of them, and Madam Pince is glaring*
Ian:"People are laughing at us....More like me."

" That doesn't matter, nothing matters except for you and I right now okay?" she said pulling away slightly grabbing both of his hands in hers.

*Ian looked up at the cieling and sighed*
Ian:"Okay."

Crystal let go of his hands and too sighed closing her eyes for a moment, she shook her head opening her eyes again getting out her books. She was done trying to help him if he was going to do this.

*Ian felt bad. He thought that he'd gotten her angry or offended her or something. He started to freak out again*
Ian:"Crystal, I'm sorry! I didn't mean it like that, I was agreeing with you, I really was!"

Crystal looked over at Madam Pince and frowned. " Okay..." she said softly then looked at him.

Ian:"Did you mean that or was that an 'I don't care I'm a girl and I'm angry' okay?"

That made Crystal smile slightly. " I meant it."

Ian:"Okay." *he said through a sigh of relief. He didn't get girls, he really didn't. They were the 8th wonder of the world. An enigma. ((There Bethany, you know the word know. lol)) He was always worried he was going to do something stupid around them, so he always made sure to ask questions*

Crystal smiled and looked down at her book.
