Simner sprinted out to the forbidden forest with a bag full of personal belongings. He also had brought his school books for studying. It was his NEWT year after all. Simner looked around the dark forest. He herd the crunching of cold snow beneath his feet. He walked just up to the first clear cut where he had told Melanie to meet him. He waited quitly. The only sound was his breath. Slow and stedy, in and out. Simner closed his eyes. How could he do this. He was leaving everything he loved behind. How could he do that? he didn't know... but he would have to.

*Melanie was bundled up well enough to keep out the cold from every part of her body but her face even though she didn't even intend on staying out that long. She hurried to where Simner had told her to meet him, but without bags.

She wasn't going to go.

She just wasn't sure about what she wanted yet....She couldn't let him wait there all night, though*
Melanie:"Sim!" *she called, just to make sure the figure she saw in the distance was him.*



~Mel

"Melanie... aren't you coming?" he asked at seeing her with no bags. "Whats wrong?".

*Melanie cast her gaze upward and signed*
Melanie:"I just...I'm not sure if I want to do this anymore...."



~Mel

"Are you sure?" he asked. He had also been thinking along theese lines. Though he was going to go though with it for Melanie.

*Melanie shook her head.*
Melanie:"I don't know. I might go later but...not right now."


~Mel

"I guess its whats best." he said seting down his pack. "So what now?" he asked

Melanie:"Well, you go wherever you want to go, and I'll write to you to meet me somewhere if I decide to go, too."




~Mel

"I am not going without you." he proclaimed. He wouldn't leave alone. He couldn't.

Melanie:"Simner, you have to do this now, with or without me. The Gryffindors are plotting a huge attack on the Hufflepuffs and you aren't safe. You have to leave."





~Mel

"No, I am not leaving without you" he protested. he wouldn't do it. He just wouldn't. "I can handle my self." he said "Its you I am worryed about."

Melanie:"Sim, don't worry about me, worry about yourself. The fighting is starting to get really bad and there's no time to worry about other people right now. Just get yourself out. If I decide to leave, it won't take me that long. Two days at the most."


~Mel

"No!" he retorted. "I won't leave without you, you are the most inportent thing in my life right now. If you I hurt or killed... I might as well have done it myself. I won't let that happen"

Melanie:"And if you get hurt or killed it will be my fault because I'd be the reason you stayed here, so go. I have Liam, Kiley, Weston, and my brothers here to keep me safe. If I get hurt, it's their fault. Please, Sim, I don't need to see someone I love getting hurt again."



~Mel

"I will be fine!" he protested. He wouldn't let her do this. "I know my way round a wand"

Melanie:"And you're saying that I don't?" *she snapped*





~Mel

"Oh course not!" he exclaimed "I just mean I can take care of myself here. You have a child. Your life is more inportent then mine." Simner began to pace around the woods. He herd a strange noise. "Come on... lets get out of here."

Melanie:"Only if 'getting out of here' means you getting yourself to safety and me going back to the castle." *she told him firmly. She wasn't going to give up any time soon.*"I might have a baby, but you have a sister, and you're all she has anymore. She might be able to live on her own, but she still needs you, her family. Even if something would happen to me, Mark would have Liam and my brothers. Kiley, too, even though she isn't a blood relative. So right about now I'm thinking that you should save yourself for the sake of both Kat and me."



~Mel

Simner felt tears welling up in his eyes. They began to flow down his rosy cheeks like waterfalls. "I don't want to leave... I hid from my life once and it almost distroyed me. I couldn't bear it if it happened agein"

Melanie:"Then take Kat with you, I don't care, just stop thinking about everyone else and think about your own future for a little while. Even if you just leave for a day, please." *she looked absolutely desperate as she looked Simner straight in the eye*"Please."



~Mel

Simner bit his lip very hard. This was one of the hardest things he had to do. "Alright..." he gave in. He would leave for a day or two... "Will you come?" he asked

Melanie:"If I decide to. If I don't...I guess you can come back."



~Mel

"Okay, now be careful" he said huging her tightly. he gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Remember... if it turns bad.. send me an owl and I will come"

Melanie:"Okay, I promise." *she hugged him back*"I'm going to miss you."



~Mel

"Okay...." he said turning away solwly. He began to walk from the forest twoards hogsmead.
