Will was relieved. He had just returned from his trip back home and his favorite place in the world was still here. He took a seat near the fire and just closed his eyes. Letting the flames warm him.

Kate walked down the spiral staircase from the girls dorm carrying a big book in her hands. She looked around and sat down infront of the fire next to a boy. She didn't say anything not wanting to disturb him it looked like he was sleeping. So she took out her black plastic frame glasses and put them on, because his eyes were closed, she hated her stupid glasses and wanted to destroy them. She opened her book and started to read.

Quiet.... Peaceful.... Untill a little dream shook Will awake
"PULL UP ON THE BROOM!'
He burst out then fell on the cold stone floor.
"Oww...."

Kate screamed softly when he started shouting. She took off her glasses and quickly stood up kneeling over Will. " Are you okay?" she asked.

He quickly looked up and saw you.
"Im ..... Im sorry. Night terrors are the worst. I didnt startle you did I?"
He asked as he starts to get up.

Kate smiled a bit and grabbed his hand. " here let me help you." she said standing. " Yeah you did give me a little fright, but it's fine." she smiled again.

He stood up and brushed himself off.
"Thanks. And sorry again."
He noticed the book.
"Oh, I see your reading. Would you like me to leave?"

" No problem." she said grabbing her glasses and putting them in her pocket. "Oh yes I was...you don't have to go I'm done now..." she told him.

"Well if your sure."
Then he remembered somthing.
"Wait, "
He felt his pockets.
"I think I lost my glasses. Ruddy things"
He said looking under the chair he was in.

Kate looked around with him. She walked over infront of the fire and picked them up. " Are these it?" she asked.

"Yes, thank you very much."
He said taking them.
"I hate these things but I cant live without them."
Puts them in his pocket.

" No problem." She said and then sighed. " I know, I have to wear these.." she said taking out her glasses and making a face.

"Wow. I now feel better about mine."
He said smiling.

Kate smiled. " Well I'm glas that you feel better." she said smiling and sitting back down.

"So what is it that your reading if I may ask."
He said sitting back down also.

Kate turned to him and smiled a bit more, she was always happy when it came to talking about books. " It's just an old med book my mum gave me..." she said flipping through it. " I'm Kate by the way."

"Oh, yeah, sliped my mind. Im Will."
He held out his hand
"Its nice to meet you. So, a med book? Intrested in healing?"

" Nice meeting you too Will." she said shaking his hand then pulling it away. "Yeah I am." she smiled.

"Thats cool. I think its a tad bit complicating though."

" Yeah I've been tols, but it's great to think that your saving peoples lives." she smiled. " what career intrests you?"

"This is going to sound stupid. But I would like to be an auror."

Kate smiled. " That doesn't sound stupid that's cool!" she said closing her book.

"Yeah. But with my record, I doubt its going to happen."

" Hey don't talk like that, I bet your going to be the best auror ever." she smiled

"Well thank you for your support. Now I just need the Ministry to act so supportive."
He said with a wry smile

" Eh well no problem." she smiled. " So...." she said looking down at the fire.

"So.... How long have you been a Gryffie?"
He said making conversation.

"Five years." she said then looked back over at him. " And you?"

He counts off on his fingers
"Yeah, five for me as well. Five long, never ending years."
He said slouching a little in the chair

Kate watched him and smiled a bit. " Ah I see..." she looked from him tot he window.
