*It was around 4 PM and liam was sitting on a bench outside. He was buzzed but not drunk and he had a black eye starting to form because he'd jsut come from the fight club. Liam glanced around before closing his eyes and letting his head drop back*

*Melanie had heard from a cocerned student that Liam was sitting out in Hogsmeade, and they advised that she go and get him. Naturally she ran for him before the student could even suggest this, not knowing how badly hurt or drunk he could be. She had thrown on a dark green coat that went down to her knees and didn't even bother to button it up before heading out. She found him sitting on the bench and she ran to him*
Melanie:"Liam!" *she exclaimed*"Someone told me you were out here and that you looked hurt. Are you alright?" *she asked before sitting down beside him and trying to catch her breath*




~Mel

*Liam opened his eyes and sat up as soon as he heard her say his name* "Yeah, I'm fine......." *He said, running a hand through his hair* "Are you?" *HE asked, glancing her over* "Why're you so out of breath?"

*Melanie chose to ignore his 'are you?'*
Melanie:"Because I just ran down here from the castle because, like I said, someone said you looked hurt and drunk and I didn't know how bad it was so I came down to see if you needed help and if you were okay."



~Mel

*Liam sighed* "I'm fine. And I'm not drunk." *He added, not looking at her, gingerly touching his eye*

Melanie:"I'm just telling you what they told me, honey." *she went to cuddle up with him, guessing that since he'd always get annoyed whenever she'd be worried over every single scrape he had that this time would be no different, so she didn't mention the bruise*



~Mel

*Liam moved so he wouldn't be holding her* "Well, you obviously believed them the way that you came running down here...."

*Melanie felt her heart fall down to her stomach. She sensed a fight coming on. He always acted like this when they would....*
Melanie:"I believed him because it's happened before."




~Mel

"I know you think I'm incapable of it, but I can take care of myself..." *He said, slightly agitated. He could feel a hearache forming behind his left eye and he really started raving a drink*

Melanie:"I know you can take care of yourself, I was just worried about you!" *she protested*



~Mel

"Is it possible that you couldn't be so loud, Melanie? I have a headache....." *He said softly through gritted teeth*

Melanie:"Okay." *she said softly. She away from Liam, not talking anymore. She figured making no noise at all would be best. Part of her thought that she caused the headache, though, and that also led to her staying quiet.*



~Mel

*Liam took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, closing his eyes for a moment and rubbing them before letting his hands drop back to his sides*

*Liam made the mistake of giving Melanie time to think over what was happening. She suddenly realized how fed up she was and became...well...angry.*

Melanie:"I'M SO SICK OF THIS!" *she shouted*




~Mel

*Liam looked over at her, angered as well for her yelling* "Sick of what?" *He said, kinda loud*

Melanie:"SICK OF HOW ANYTIME I INNOCENTLY TRY TO BE THERE FOR YOU YOU GET P*SSED AT ME! ANY TIME I GET WORRIED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE YOU CAN'T STOP BEING SO...RECKLESS! YOU GET MAD AT ME FOR SOMETHING YOU BROUGHT UPON YOURSELF! Do you have any idea how I feel? I care so much about you I'm constantly finding you drunk or beaten up- do you have any idea how god d*mned stressful that is?"



~Mel

"Do you know how GOD D*AMN STRESSFUL it is to have to listen to you yell at me about EVERYTHING?!?" *Liam shouted back at her* "I can't do anything anymore without YOU BITING MY HEAD OFF! I NEVER DO ANYTHING RIGHT OK MEL? OK? JESUS!"*He stood up and kicked the bench really hard*

*Melanie stood up and tried to size herself up to Liam. Of course it didn't work, she was almost a foot shorter than him.*
Melanie:"You CAN do things right, you just choose to do things that are wrong. Maybe if you didn't do things that set a bad example for Mark I wouldn't mind so much!"




~Mel

"Oh, so now I'm a bad example?!" *Liam shouted* "Mel, HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING! DID YOU NOTICE?!?! HE ISN'T EVEN SPEAKING YET!!!" *He then realized what she had said* "SEE MELANIE?! THERE YOU GO AGAIN! SAYING I DO THE WRONG THINGS!"

Melanie:"Oh, so you're going to wait until he can speak to stop?" *she asked him smartly*"You're going to wait until you're positive that he'll be influenced by you?"




~Mel

"You know what Mel, you influence him just as much as I do, so don't act like you're a god d*mn saint or something..."

Melanie:"Atleast I don't make him think that being an alcoholic and fighting are okay!" *she retorted, ignoring his saint comment completely*


~Mel

"He doesn't know what fighting and drinking are..." *He said slowly and clearly through gritted teeth as if he was talking to someone that didn't understand him* "and I'm NOT and alcholic."

Melanie:"You will be soon if you don't stop! And one day he'll know what they are, and because you do them, he'll think it's the right thing to do!"



~Mel

"MY HOBBIES ARN'T HURTING ANYONE MEL! SO JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE!" *He shouted...again*

Melanie:"YOU DON'T GET IT, LIAM! YOU DON'T GET IT AT ALL!"

*A small crowd had begun to form around them. Apparently their fight was interesting and some of them let out a whoop as Mel shoved Liam as hard as she could*
"IT HURTS ME! YOU COME HOME WASTED AND HURT. HOW THE HELL ELSE CAN I FEEL?"



~Mel

*Liam stumbled back a little as she pushed him* "If you don't want to deal with me, then WHY DID YOU EVER ASK ME TO HELP YOU?! HUH?!? IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH MY PROBLEMS, IF THEY'RE JUST IN INCONVIENCE FOR YOU, THEN JUST IGNORE THEM!" *He paused and looked over at the people* "And what the hell are you looking at?" *He said dangeriously, stumbling over his own feet for a second before regaining his balence*

Melanie:"I NEVER ASKED, YOU OFFERED TO DO IT, REMEMBER? OR DO I MEAN THAT LITTLE TO YOU ANYMORE?"



~Mel

Liam: "WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?!"

Melanie:"WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO MEAN IS THAT I KNOW YOU DON'T LOVE ME ANYMORE!" *she exclaimed before starting to stomp away*



~Mel

"MEL! DON'T WAALK AWAY FROM ME....." *He started after her, but some guy stepped in his way*

guy: "leave her alone"
Liam: "back off ass hole. Stay out of this" *He snarled*
guy: "I don't want any trouble" *He said dangeriously*
Liam: "Oh yeah, well maybe you should step off then...." *He tried to push him out of the way, but the guy threw a punch at Liam, which missed him by inches. Within seconds the two were on the ground fist fighting, kicking the crap out of eachother*

*Melanie whipped around whenever she heard them start to fight. She went back and started to yell at the other man rather than Liam*
Melanie:"GET OFF OF MY BOYFRIEND, GOD D*MMIT, HE NEVER DID ANYTHING TO YOU!"



~Mel

*Two other guys pulled them apart. Liam was the worst of the two, with a bleeding lip and nose and what was going to be a bruise on his cheek. He looked to Mel and then shook the guy off that was holding him. Liam looked back to mel for instruction from her on what she wanted him to do*

*Melanie didn't say anything to him before turning around and starting off again. He wanted to show he could take care of himself? He was going to. He wanted space? He was sure as hell going to get it.*



~Mel

*Liam held his nose to keep from bleeding, which didn't really work, because he was still bleeding freely. He started off after her.* "Mel.....come on. Will you stop? I want to talk to you, damnit...."

Melanie:"Well you also want space, so that's what I'm giving you."



~Mel

"I don't....right now I want...MEL!" *He yelled* "will you STOP and come back for a minute? PLEASE?!"

Melanie:"Why should I stop what I'm doing if you won't stop what you're doing?" *she snapped at him*



~Mel

"Fine. You wanna leave? Fine. I can see how much this relationship means to you." *He said, shoving his hands in the pockets of his jacket and stopping in the middle of the road, looking at her infront of him*

Melanie:"It means a lot more to me than it does to you!"
