Title: So Much to do So Little Time
Description: open!
Casey Bryant - March 2, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
Casey wandered over a secluded table positioned right next to the window, maybe not the smartest of places to be since it allowed for many distractions. She opened her book with a heavy sigh and turned to the page where she figured she had left off. She had so much homework to do, but she could not concentrate until she finished her book, it was just so good. She had just recently been recommended to read Pride and Prejudice and she was almost done. She was at the point where she just couldn't put it down. After about half an hours reading she put the book down with a loud thump, receiving an evil glare from the librarian which she readily ignored. She'd finished finaly, but her mind was still whirring over what she had just read.

Diana walked into the library books that she needed to return in the crook of her arm as she walked along the many tables. As she reached the front desk she slid the books on to the counter for the librarian to check back in. She was just flashing the lady a smile when she heard a loud thud on one of the tables her head swiveled around as her gaze took in each student to see looking for who had made the noise.
Finally her eyes locked on a girl who she noticed was the getting a glare from the librarian which made Diana bite her lip in attempt to hide the laugh that wanted to so badly to slip. Her feet taking a mind of their own walked towards the table where the girl sat. Upon reaching it a smile lit up on her face as she spoke using quotations, "I see you got 'the glare'."

Casey looked up as Diana approached and chuckled softly at her remark. "That wouldn't be the first time, nor the last I imagine. Sometimes it's hard to come in here and not get 'the glare'" Casey explained, her voice hushed so as to not upset the librarian again. It wouldn't do to get 'the glare' more than once in just one visit.

Diana grinned at the girls reply. She too have had her share of 'the glare'. Though now it wasn't so common because of how much she had been in the library. After a while her and the librarian began talk to and actually have a conversation, so you could say she was on good terms with the lady.
Standing there she gestured to the chair right in front of her asking, "Mind if I sit?"

Casey nodded gratefully, glad to have some form of company. "I'm Casey Bryant by the way." She introduced herself just to get it out of the way. It seemed, then, that she was not the only one to receive the glare around her, which didn't make her feel so bad about receiving it.

Diana nodded a thank you to girl as she heard the introductions being made already. Extending her had she came out with her own reply. "Nice to meet you Casey," she said pausing for a moment. "I'm Diana, Diana Wulfric."
It always depended on the person when she introduced herself. Usually she would just give the other her first name but there were times, like this, that she gave a full name. IN her eyes it was more proper so to say.
Casey Bryant - March 2, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
Casey took her hand shaking it lightly, now that the introductions wre over conversing shouldn't be too bad. She was shy be nature and tended to avoid conversations where she could. But she had made a resolution to make more friends and not let her shy disposition completely run her life.
"Nice to meetcha" she said warmly, "So what brings you to the library?" Casey asked as a conversation starter.

Diana pulled back her hand after the shake and sat back in her chair as her vivid green eyes landed on Casey. Listening to the question she asked Diana smiled. "Came to return some books I had, they're early, but thats better than late," she answered with a light shrug.
Finally her eyes strayed to a book in front of the girl curiously she went out to reach for the book. Glancing up she asked, "May I?"
Casey Bryant - March 2, 2007 03:49 AM (GMT)
"I always forget to return my books the day they're due. Somehow it always escapes me until a couple days later, not matter how many reminders I write myself." Casey said quietly. "Go ahead" she said with a glance at the book, some of her thoughts were still focused on the book. A lot had happened in the last few chapters and she was still working to get the events straight. It was a complicated book but definately worth the read.

Diana laughed softly as Casey told her she had always forgot to turn in ehr books on time. "Don't worry I forget sometimes as well. It's in our nature," she said reassuringly referring the comment to everyone. Everyone forgot something at least once in their life, probably even even more than once.
Picking up the book she noticed the title. Pride and Prejudice, she thought to herself wondering what the book was about. Her eyes scanned the back and when she finished curiousity got the better of her. "Whats it about?" She finally asked her gaze returning to Casey as she sat the book back down in it's place.

Casey glanced down at the table and then back up at Diana trying to figure out how best to explain the book. "It's rather complicated... but I'll try and make short. It was based back in the Victorian times. The family's kind of poor and don't really fit in with the society's standards coz everyon'es kind of boisterous and not really well behaved. The book is mainly about how the mother tries to marry off her daughters and the confusion of love between Elizabeth and a man well above her status. I think really it's about how everyone is a fool when it comes to love, and when you think you have everything figured out it turns out that nothing is quite as it seems. It's really good, I didn't think I'd like it, because I'm not really into those kind of books but I loved it in the end" She rambled, knowing full well that she didn't really make sense

Diana listened her gase fixed intently on Casey as she heard every word of her explanation. To her it seemed like a good book. a slight frown came to her lips as the other said she thought that the book was really about how everyone is a fool when it comes to love, and when you think you have everything figured out it turns out that nothing is quite as it seems. She knew a little bit about that, but let those thoughts disappear as she listened on.
"Well it seems like a good book. I personally like to read novels which include love, it makes it all that more interesting in it's own way," she said with a small smile. She thought for a moment on what to say next when a question came to her. "What type of books do you favor?"
Casey Bryant - March 3, 2007 07:30 PM (GMT)
Casey shrugged, "Well I've always been into fantasy. I know that sounds odd since I'm kind of living the life that would be told in a fantasy story... but it's always been interesting to me. Occasionally I'll read a love story or some mystery, especially Agatha Christie's novels, those are excellent." She explained

Diana smiled, she never really got the chance to talk books with someone. The people she usually tended to hang aroud with weren't book type of people, so to say. As she listened on to Casey she nodded here and there as she waited for her to finish.
"Well don't worry I happen to love fantasy, they're probably my favorite," she said with a nod as she paused for a moment tilting her head to the side. "Do you have a favorite author?"
