*Tracie was anxious for her first class. She knew from rumors that the past Herbology classes and teachers hadn't been exactly...good. Apparently there was more pain than there was teaching. Shame. All of that wasted time....

Atleast she knew that she would be better than that. She was just worried that the students would hate her and find her boring.

Her, boring? Who was she trying to kid. No one had ever told her that she was boring. Maybe they'd think she was evil or that she tried to hard.



D*mn, if I keep thinking like this they will hate me.

She sat on the edge of one of the long, old, wooden tables and waited for her class to arrive.*

*Melanie walked into the class with Alex and Ian following closely behind her. Ever since she came back neither of them ever wanted to let her our of their sight.

Them and about a dozen other people.

Melanie almost stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the new Herbology professor. She wasn't at all what she expected, especially for a Herbology teacher. She half expected Wittle to show up again. No, she was actually kind of...cool. She looked around, also expecting a box where she needed to put her wand, too. There wasn't one. It was strange...but it was good, too. Alex and Ian, who had never been in one of the horrible classes from before didn't know that it was a surprise to see this, and they kept walking.*

Alex:"Mel did your brain stop working because the seats are over here."

*Melanie snapped out of it and walked over to an empty seat, being cautious as she sat down; She half expected the chair to bite her whenever she did.*



~Mel

*A group of students walked in and Tracie became even more nervous. She wasn't usually like that, and she didn't know what about teaching a class made her so, but it did and that was all that mattered. They looked like they were siblings. She guessed that they had to be the Hunters. She thanked God that she had the sign-up sheets. It prevented her from looking like a complete buffoon. But there were two boys...she didn't know which was which. D*mn. she cursed again. She'd just have to figure out on her own.

The brown-haired boy made a slightly rude comment. She tried to remember the sign-up sheet. It was probably Alex, she couldn't be sure, but a guess would be good for now. That meant that the other boy was Ian, right. Okay, that's Mel, that's Alex, and that's Ian. She put a visual of them in her mind and hoped she'd remember it. It was easy now, but once more students showed up she'd probably get them confused.

She smirked at how jumpy Mel was acting. She must have been to some of the classes from before. Either that or she was just extremelly paranoid.*

Tracie:"Don't worry, nothing's going to eat you, I swear. Unless you're an idiot and you put your hand too close to a Fanged Geranium, of course."

*Kiley walked in not long after Mel, Alex, and Ian had. She sat near mel and sighed, closing her eyes, tired, from lack of sleep. It had been a long few days, moving into the apartment. She sighed and mumbled more to herslf* "I need some sort of medication...."

*Melanie attempted a little smile, but she was still nervous.*

Melanie:"No, what you need is sleep." *she corrected Kiley as she poked her*"As do I. I've needed sleep for almost a whole year, though.




~Mel

"Don't poke me..." *She mumbled, and opened her eyes* "I like not sleeping. I like what I'm going when I'm not sleeping" *She muttered, so only mel and her brothers could hear, if they chose to listen* "So what I need is medication." *She concluded with a weak smile*

*Mel assumed when Kiley said 'I like what I'm doing when I'm not sleeping' meant screwing Weston. Maybe she was just a pervert, but it could be the case.*
Melanie:"Well if what I'm thinking you mean by 'what I'm doing when I'm not sleeping', I like what I'm doing when I'm not sleeping, too. But I do other things, too." *she poked Kiley again*"Like poke you."





~Mel

*Kiley groaned* "You're like a two year old..." *She muttered, then added* "And what exactly do you think I mean by that?"

*Melanie looked at Kiley with a pitying face*
Melanie:"Did you just meet me today, Ki?"



~Mel

*Kiley smiled* "Yeah.....that's what I ment..." *She said, figuring mel knew what she ment, judging by that comment.*

*Alex decided to be stupid and randomly come into the conversation*
Alex:"What did you mean?"

*Ian elbowed him*

Alex:"OW, what?"

*Ian just gave him a look.*

Alex:"KILEY THAT'S GROSS! I DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT HOW OFTEN YOU HAVE SEX!"

*Melanie sighed and let her head fall to the table, Ian stared at Alex some more.*

Alex:"What?!"

Ian:"You're clueless, aren't you."

Melanie:"Obviously."

*Tracie looked over at the bunch with a very surprised look on her face.

Okay...so teenagers were almost exactly as they were portrayed in society. In some ways, at least*

Tracie:"I'm not sure you should be talking about that right now." *she told them.*

*Kiley laughed* "Aaaaand now the new teacher thinks I'm a slut. Thanks alot alex. You're a winner." *She sighed and added* "It's alright. Not like she's the only one that thinks that..." *She looked at Ian deliberatly as she said this, seeing as she hadn't forgiven him for calling her a slut*

*Ian looked away from everyone and pretty much pretended like they weren't there. He knew if he said anything Kiley might tell Mel about his little habit.*
Melanie:"What?" *she asked, completely confused. Ian had told Alex all about it, because that's how they work. Mel was the only one who had no idea what was going on.*



~Mel

*Tracie shook her head*
Tracie:"I don't think you're a slut. You're a teenager, it's what you do, and what old people like me wish we could do more often."

*Tracie wasn't really that old, she was 30, but she enjoyed making age jokes whenever she was around younger people.*

*Kiley smiled at the teachers comment* "I'm Kiley." *She said, knowing she would like this lady*

*When Mel spoke, Kiley looked over at her and decided to get her up to speed* "Ian think's I'm a slut and I sleep around with anyone that wants me to." *She said, her face void of expression as she kept her eyes locked on Mel*

*Melanie whipped around to look at Ian*
Melanie:"What? Ian, what did you say to Kiley?" *she demanded*

*Ian continued to pretend like he wasn't there*

Melanie:"Ian, tell me. I'd expect this out of Alex, but never you."

Alex:"Hey!"

Melanie:"You know it's true."

Alex:"Yeah, but you still shouldn't say it."

*Melanie sighed*

Melanie:"Ian, just tell me."

*Ian kept up his act.*

Melanie:"Fine. Kiley, what did he say to you."



~Mel

*Kiley sighed* "He says I'm a slut, that I'm just your friend, not like, a member of the family or anything, and that I'll sleep with anyone that wants me to or'll wave money at me...I tihnk. I don't really remember."

Weston walked in, in the middle of the conversation. "Usually knuts will cover it...but I got a deal" he said jokingly. "Watch what you say to her" he said warningly to Ian and sat near Kiley

*Kiley smiled and turned around to see weston* "Yeah, I cut you a deal. That's me, Kiley, the cheap hooker. What can I say?" *She said jokingly to weston*

Weston laughed and kissed her cheek

*Kiley smiled and reached to take his hand under the table* "I wasn't sure if you were gonna come or not. You seemed pretty tired this morning..."

*Melanie gave Ian THE LOOK.*

Melanie:"Apologize to Kiley. You know that isn't true."

*He ignored her*

Melanie:"Ian, listen to me. Apologize to Kiley."

Alex:"He's not going to."

Melanie:"Why not?"

Alex:"Because he's afraid of what will happen."

*Ian glared at Alex*

Melanie:"Ian, apologize to Kiley or I'll...." *she tried to think of a punishment*"I'll take away your broom and...make you help out around the apartment more. That will definatley include cleaning Alex's laundry."

Alex:"What does that mean?"

Melanie:"It means you smell and you're messy."

Alex:"Thanks." *he grinned*

Ian:"Fine." *he finally said*

Melanie:"No, not fine. You will tell her you're sorry."

Ian:"No I won't."

Melanie:"Ian, why are you acting like this?"

Ian:"Why are YOU acting like THIS?"

Melanie:"Like what?"

Ian:"Like you're my mother!"

*Melanie took a moment to absorb the sting. She was taken aback. Why was he suddenly so defensive? It wasn't like Ian....*

Melanie:"Because I'm the closest thing to mum that you have, and someone needs to take her place and raise you."

"How could I not be?" he asked. He tilted his head back and closed his eyes. After a moment he yawned and tilted his head forward once more

*Kiley yawned when he did* "Yeah...I was tired too. Maybe we should start actually sleeping at night."

"Naw" he said quietly, showing interest in Mel's 'thing'

*Kiley glanced back to Mel* "It doesn't matter....he'll only be saying sorry because he wants you to. I could care less what he thinks..."

Melanie:"Well I care about how he treats other people and he needs to learn not to."

Ian:"I KNOW NOT TO, ALRIGHT? I WAS ANGRY AT HER!"

Melanie:"Ian, calm down."

Ian:"CALM DOWN? YOU'RE FORCING ME TO DO SOMETHING AND YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN? IF I WAS TELLING YOU TO TELL SOMEONE YOU WERE SORRY YOU'D DO THE SAME THING!"

Melanie:"That doesn't mean it's the right thing."

Ian:"Well then don't do it, hypocrite!"

*Melanie looked away*

Melanie:"I don't need this right now."

*Alex looked between the two, his conscience actually working for once. Should he tell Mel or should he keep it secret? It was really up to Ian, but...he might not ever know it was him....*



~Mel

*Kiley sighed and looked away* "Sorry." *She mumbled to mel*

Melanie:"Why are you sorry? It's my fault that I made stupid choices and everything in my life seems to be crashing and burning and not making any sense and I just don't need another stressful thing to deal with."



~Mel

Tracie:"Woah, woah. Everyone just...calm down a little bit. Take a deep breath and save this for later on. In fact, I want you four to come to my office after class and talk it out with me, just to make sure none of you kill eachother, okay?" *she smirked*"You can come, too, if you'd like." *she said to Weston.*

*Kileyturned and looked at weston with a look that clearly said 'Please come....' because she didn't really want to be in a room with those three at the same time. And she really didn't want to talk it out...*

*Melanie, Alex, and Ian all had a vaguely similar 'if we have to' look on their faces, and that was their entire response to Professor Barton's suggestion.*

Weston lightly sqeezed Kiley's hand to let her know that he'd go with her.

*Kiley smiled a little as he squeezed her hand. She felt a little safer, knowing that Weston would be there with her.* "Do you think it would be at all possible that we start the lesson, before someone kills someone else?" *She asked, turning to the professor*

Tracie:"I was waiting for more people to show up, but if we start, that's just too bad for them for not being here." *she got off of the table*"Alright, today is going to be more of an introduction class. Apparently your other Herbology classes were shi-um...bad, so I decided to set out different plants that we'll be studying, and different things we'll use in the class. There should be papers about what they are beside each of them, so unless something crazy happened, you'll know what they are. The potentially dangerous plants are all in that corner over there-" *she pointed to it*"So be careful and don't touch anything or get to close to it until you are absolutely sure of what it is."*she explained*"Go have fun and don't kill yourselves."


OOC: Whenever you go to one of the plants, just pick one that you find interesting from
this site. Any of the plants, really. Unless they're only used in potions. What I'm saying is, find something you'd want me to talk about in one of the classes, because this is my way of having an 'idea' thinggy.
