Casey wandered aimlessly about the hallways. Occasionally her eyes would gaze momentarily out the passing windows, but it did nothing to improve her mood. Casey was having one of those days where everything was wrong from the start and all she wanted to do was curl up in an arm chair in front of a fire. She sighed heavily and tucked a stray strand of copper hair behind her ear. These past couple of weeks had been hard on her, thoughts seemed to hover over her mind, always there. She was frustrated, it frustrated her even more as she didn't know what to do.

Jamie turned the into the next corridor, the three crates of sweets that Shade in his arms he needed to hide them in his hiding place, he did not look where he was going he had walked this route so much it was ingraved in his mind, then he glanced up and saw a girl "Hello" he said, he had a plan.

Casey looked up at the sound of a voice, as soon as she realized it was a boy she quickly cast her eyes downward. "H-hello" She stamered shyly. She had never seen him around before, well maybe she had but she didn't recognize him. Immediately her thoughts strayed to Kaden, wondering where he was, what he was doing. But she stopped those thoughts, how could she move on if there were constant reminders everywhere?

Jamie sensed that the girl was shy He decided not to use his plan, not yet anyway “I haven’t seen you around here before. What‘s your name” he asked softly.

Casey hesitated a moment before giving him her name, "Casey." Though her voice was small and shy it didn't waver. However, she made sure not to make eye contact and kept her eyes glued to the floor.

"Mine's Ja..." he stopped "Neo" he was about to say Jmie but that reminded him about home.

Casey raised her eyebrows, but only slightly, as he seemed to change his mind about his own name. But if she had learned anything over the years it was not to ask questions where it didn't concern you. "Er..uh.. Nice... Nice to meet you..."

"Same here" he said as he held his hand out.

Casey looked up at him briefly, her copper hair falling lightly over her shoulders and her green eyes searching him as if trying to decide what kind of person he was. Would he trick her? Would he hurt her? She didn't know. She hesitated before stretching her arm out and shaking his hand. She kept quiet, worried her voice would betray her emotions. She'd learned her lesson more than once and knew to speak only when spoken too, even if it did lead to awkward silences. Besides, it kept her from having to initiate conversation. She looked around and then back down at her feet again.

Jamie looked for somthing to talk about he hated awkward silences. then his eyes glanced out the window and he saw the lake. "Do you like swimming he asked?" not wanting to make it sound like he was being nosey.

Casey turned her gaze from him to the window and back to Jamie. She shrugged, "Yea... I guess so. Why?" She said, thinking it was a weird thing to ask. She wondered if maybe he was hinting to taking a swim.

"Do you want to go?" he asked, hoping Flame would think nothing of it.

Casey shrugged, "Sure... " She smiled slightly, trying to overcome an overwhelming sense of shyness.

"I just need to put this lot somewhere out of the way" he said and then added "you can come with me if you want."

Casey shrugged, she didn't really have anything else to do so she nodded, "Okay... Where are you putting it?"

"Just up here" he nodded to his left.

"Alright" Casey said and followed him, secretly wondering why he was being nice to her.

Jamie and as he did so he asked "How lomg have you been at Hogwarts?"

"This is my fifth year. What about you?" Jamie didn't seem all bad, and conversation wasn't too hard to continue. Still, she was a little nervous about swimming with him.

"3rd year" he replied and then added "have you any siblings"

Casey shook her head, no. "Nope, just me. What about you?"

"I've got a sister but we don't talk much" he answered "Not that I don't want to it's just" he paused for a moment thinking of the best way to phrase it "complicated."

"Oh.... Well that kinda sucks. I'm sorry" Casey said, adding I'm sorry as an automatic thing. But she was sorry, how many times she had wished she had a sibling she didn't know, but she certainly hated being an only child

"It's okay I'm used to it" he said "I just wish I had someone to talk to, someone like a big sister"

Casey managed a small smile, "I know the feeling. . . I guess if you ever wanted to talk I'm always open" she told him truthfully, she didn't know what drove her to say it, but she was glad she did.

"Thanks" he stopped outside a door and put the crates down. and pulled open the door to revel a empty classroom he stepped inside, "come in" he said.

Casey followed him in and looked around curiously, "Why here?"

Jamie knelt on the floor boards and stated tapping them “you'll see in a moment.” he said casually. He then suddenly jumped up and pulled out a stone from the floor. “see” he added, then placed the crates in the gap and replaced the stone he then went over to the end of the room picked up a rug took it back to the loose stone and placed it over it carefully.
