After wandering the halls like a lost little puppy, Amberly came upon the library. She felt uncommonly shy being in such a big place around so many new people. She decided to retreat into the place where she felt the most comfortable, a book. She reached into her little messenger bag and pulled out a book. She always had a book or magizine with her. She found a place to sit and tried to read some, but she was having trouble concentrating. She sat staring blankly at the page while twirling a brown strand of hair. The few purple streaks she had in her hair were pulled into a ponytail on top of her head. Even though Amberly knew it wouldn't take long to break out of her shell, she wondered if the rest of her school year would be spent alone in the library.

What do you do when you have no one to turn to? What do you do when you have time that you don't know what to do with? You turn to a book, your only savior. Caleb walked slowly into the library. He carried a bag over his shoulder filled with parchment and quills, all sorts of stuff. He sighed, alot of people were there today and he wasn't bound to get anything done with all their talking. But he looked around trying to find a seat. He let out a long breath and then found a small table with a girl. " Mind if I sit?" he asked her with a small smile.

Carina wandered in cluching some books to her chest and glanced about nervously, She noticed all of the people and began to bite one of her nails. As she looked around and spied a dark coner, walked over to it and sat down on the floor and began to read.

Amberly looked up at the guy. "Sure" she answered, returning his smile. She then turned her head to a girl who had sat down in a corner. "Hey." she said to get her attention.

Carina looked up from her book, and said "Um, hey".

"Wanna sit with us?" Amberly offered the girl.

Carina said "sure." and got up to join them.

"My name's Amberly." She told the girl. "What's yours?"
