Laurelle sits beside the lake.
she loves hogwarts but wishes she knew some people. She knew she could find a good party to be at at home. She pulls at the grass and thinks of all her friends at home, and how they were probably getting ready to go to a huge blowout party. Oh well, she thinks as she sighs. Hopefully I can meet some fun people here, and make the best of it, she thinks.

*Coincidentally, Melanie had been walking around the grounds at that same time. She saw a girl that she didn't know sitting by the lake, and, being typical Mel, she walked up to her and sat down beside her, striking up a conversation*
