The Room of Requirement door swung open hitting the wall with a thud almost taking the door off it's hinges. Then with a slam it was closed again. A frustrated scream escaped Valentines lips when she pulled out her wand. Her eyes flickered shut and mirrors appeared all around her reflecting the image of rage that was on her face. She pointed her wand at one yelling. " Alarte Ascendare" it shot into the air then she let it fall shattering into little peices. She sheilded her face but a peice still came up and cut it a little blood dripped from her cheek. " Damn it!" she muttered but then ignored it and pointed her wand at another repeating the same action.
She was so angry with her little pure blood git of a father. Leaving home for three months then coming back to tell her she'd be going to a school full of mud bloods and such. Not that she had a problem with mud bloods, not a big problem at least. But she was a Slytherin so it was expected of her to hate them. She was using these mirrors to take out her anger so she wouldn't hurt another innocent soul.

Jake stepped into the Room of Requirements and came upon a scene that he hadn't prepared himself for. Mirrors covered the walls and an enraged girl was there breaking them. He thought of turning away before he was seen but with all of those mirrors, the ones that weren't shattered anyway, there was no way she could miss him. But just in case she had literally been blinded by her fury, he turned toward the door calmly but kept his eyes on the room he didn't want to get hit by glass or by the girl.

Valentie dropped her wand to the ground and brought her arm to her cheek wiping the blood away then turned her head her eyes filled with anger but they softened when she saw somone walking to the door. She suddenly felt embarassed wondering how long he had been there. She sighed and shook her head letting her hand drop to her side her face faded a bit of the pink embarassed color. "Hello?" her voice was not loud and angry but soft with a bit of something she couldn't even explain.

"Hi." Jacob returned her greeting awkwardly, bewildered by the sudden change. "Sory, I didn't mean to interrupt ..." He then said, trying to regain his composure.

When the word sorry came out of his mouth she looked down. " Don't be." she lothed the word sorry for one reason or another. She sighed once more and plopped down on the ground her head in her hands.

"What's wrong?" Jacob asked stupidly after a pause in the conversation. For once he was feeling at a loss for words. Normally he made sure that he always had something to say and it was usually intelligent and almost always well thought out. He turned and walked over to her but did not sit down.

A noise escaped her laugh it was hard to tell even to her if it was a sob or a laugh. " What isn't wrong??" she said dumbly with another laugh slash sob. She looked up at him for a moment then back down.

Jacob sat finally sat down after a moment of staring at her blankly. He did his best to get some composure. "I know what you mean." He said truthfully, "although I don't take my anger out quite the same ways as you." he joked with a smirk.

Valintine smiled and laughed slightly wiping mosre blood that trickled down her face. " Yeah I don't really think anyone takes their anger out the same way I do....." she smiled again avoiding eyecontact with the kid.

"It looked like fun. I might try it sometime." He had been humbled by his shock at walking into the room and was now in a more easy-going mood than usual. "My name's Jacob." he said.

" Yeah...glass does hurt...I have made a mental note..." she told him laying back making sure to avoid laying on any glass.

"My name's Jacob, what's yours?" he asked to get off of the topic, although it was all around them in the mirrors and broken glass. He remained sitting as she layed back, he only turned so that he could see her face.

" Valintine...Valintine Mitchell.."she said sticking her hand out towards him for a shake. Granite she did like meeting new people but It was always an akward situation with her for some reason.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." he said and took her hand briefly. He was starting to regain his slightly cocky demeanor now that the situation didn't feel so awkward. "My last name's Penny, if it makes any difference." he added with a smile.

She smiled just slightly then let her hand drop. It owuld be better if she could see his eyes and figure out what he was like. She sighed and rolled her eyes at herself. Boy was that stupid. Her thoughts suddenly made no sense to her, so what is the sense in thinking when It didn't make any sense?

"So what house and year are you?" he asked to get the question out of the way. "I'm a Slytherin 6th year." He suspected that she was Slytherin as well, so the question was probably safe to ask.

" Slytherin 3rd year." she let a pause fill the air then said. " It's good to meet another Slytherin who isn't full of themselves..." her voice was hesitant.

"I can be." he warned with half a smile. It was true, he usually was a little too full of himself.

She laughed slightly and looked at her hands then at him smirking slightly. " Help me up will you?" she asked wiping the side of her face with the back of her hand.

He stood and reached for her hands to help her up. "Sure." he said.

Val reached for his hands and pulled herself back up, it felt better to be standing agin. She had cooled off slightly and took in a long slow breath brushing herslef off. " Thanks." She cringed at the word.

"No problem." he said and half laughed when she cringed.

Val looked at him as he laughed and glared. A smile crakced on her face though and she looked around for her wand. When she found said wand, she put it in her robe pocket. then tucked her hair behind her ear. " So...Jacob..." she started then stopped realising she had nothing to say, she was just talking to talk.

"So...What do you do for fun?" he asked after a short, uncomfortable pause.
