Appearance

Hans is a small rotund man with a short dwarfish beard. His eyes and hair colour are a supple grey. He often wears lime green or vibrant coloured robes, and wears wizard hats to compliment that. He looks like a garden gnome that wants to be a wizard.

Personality

Hans is a total eccentric, so his reactions depend upon situation and mood. Sometimes he can be wise and other times he can be reckless for self gain. His decisions are generally poor resulting in bad management and little self-confidence. He couldn’t run a fish-bar let alone a school, he allows people to take over and is a pacifist in arguments.

Personal Back History

Hans is from a high class, pure blood family who believed in strong self discipline for Hans and his two brothers, so forced them to study long before their time at Hogwarts. They spent their days in quiet study and practical classes, not only in magic but in sword fighting. This made them leagues ahead of their classmates. Hans was the most intelligent, which led him to be sorted into Ravenclaw.

His potential was soon seen and he was placed into supplementary classes to challenge his genius mind. As he went through Hogwarts, he became hated because of the jealousy of others. His money and intelligence went against him and he was bullied viciously. This made him seclude himself, he went mute for several years at the school and found it more entertaining to imagine he had friends, he gradually spoke to his self and inanimate objects which lead to further bullying, resulting in the further progression of his mental state.

After Hogwarts, Hans’ parents forced him into a career with the ministry. He became leader of the Magical Law Enforcement Squad and was encouraged to challenge current ministers for power. Which he did and failed each time, lacking the charisma of his opponents because of his mental state. As he approached 30 his young genius label left him and he was placed to one side in several departments. However many saw him as the most intelligent man in the ministry – perhaps Britain.

At 32 he met Echelon Wittle and soon communicated his illness through a sign language developed by them both. Echelon proved to be vastly more intelligent than Hans – the first person he had met who was cleverer. They worked together on a number of underground experiments to combat the unforgivables themselves. However Echelon’s obsession with his brother led to poor communication and the experiments were disbanded.

His parents died of old age and Hans lacked any motivation or ambition afterwards.

Knowing his talents were wasted he left the ministry and joined the Dark Defence League as a voulenteer researcher and worked on many cures for the public and aurors. Here, his genius was appreciated and he became the Master of the league for sixty years after that.

During his time there he met Sinni Laborve whom he married. When he retired they had a child, Steve Mcarther whom he encouraged as much as his own parents encouraged him.

At 120 he was offered the position of Headmaster after Dumbledore and has kept any student misdoings secret from the public ever since.
