*The night before, Kiley had gone into the great hall and sat at the gryffindor table and sat at the last place she'd sat with weston in here. She had layed her head on the table and closed her eyes and cried silently untill exausted, she fell asleep sitting on the bench with her head on the table. Kiley hadn't woken up yet just because she was so tired*

*Melanie had gotten up earlier than usual since Kiley hadn't come back to the dorms the night before. This was saying something since Mel was getting very little sleep as it was. Mel searched the school for Kiley, and finally found her in the Great Hall. Mel walked up to the table and sat down beside her, being careful not to make too much noise as she did. She didn't want to scare Kiley or anything.*
Melanie:"Kiley, wake up." *she said softly*



~Mel

*Kiley opened her eyes slowly and lifted her head, looking around. She saw mel and yawned, rubbing her eyes. Kiley looked pale with dark circles under her eyes. Kiley didn't even bother to put on a happy face, looking dead and empty. She stiffled a ywan* "Sorry..." *Kiley mumbled*

Melanie:"No, you don't have anything to be sorry about. How are you feeling?" *she asked*




~Mel

"Fine....I'm good." *SHe lied, rubbing her eyes again and letting her hands drop as she attempted a sort of sleepy semi-smile that looked and felt fake*

*Melanie forced a smile as well, even though Kiley was lying. She looked around.*
Melanie:"Why don't the house elves send up the food now, because we have two girls that need to eat. Yes, you're eating. I'm making you whether you want to or not."




~Mel

"They'll wait for more people to come." *She said, laying her head back down and closing her eyes* "What time is it?"

Melanie:"Mmmm," *Melanie looked at her watch*"6:45. That means 15 minutes." *she realized in distaste*"Well, we can just sit here, then." *Melanie hoped that, if she was quiet, Kiley would say something. Kiley needed to talk right now, and she knew it. Kiley didn't, though.*



OOC: Whenever Mel 'knows' things, she only thinks she knows them, so Kiley needing to talk isn't for certain, it's just Mel's perception of what is. lol.



~Mel

"Why're you up so early?" *She asked quietly after about 20 seconds of silence*

Melanie:"Because I was worried about you." *she admitted*



~Mel

Kiley: "You didn't need to be....I'm sorry. Mel....don't worry about me. I'll be k." *SHe said quietly, her voice hoarse*

Melanie:"Don't be sorry because I want to be worried about you. Someone needs to."




~Mel

"I wish people woudn't." *She said, still quiet. Kiley still hadn't opened her eyes**

Melanie:"Well I know you don't think it's important, but it is. People worrying about you means they care, and you need to know that someone cares about you. That's why I was such a mess after all that happened. I didn't feel like I had anybody."



~Mel

Kiley: "I know...I just wish that everyone wouldn't waste all their time and energy on me....it's not fair to you."

Melanie:"We're not wasting our energy and even if we were, it's not all of it. If it was all of it, though, you'd be worth it. You're not asking for it, we're giving it because we want to, and because of that, it's fair."



~Mel

*Kiley shrugged.* "You should be spending time with mark and Liam." *She concluded, not giving in. Food decided to appear right around this time. Kiley sat up and sighed, not feeling hungry*

Melanie:"I'm spending time with them, and they know that you're very important to me now, too, and that I'm willing to do anything you need me to, and that I want to make sure that you're okay." *Melanie started loading her plate. Even if Kiley wasn't going to eat, she was still starving half to death. Mark decided to be difficult last night so she never had time to eat dinner.*"Kiley, eat before I shove a piece of toast down your throat."



~Mel

*Kiley reluctantly speared a saussage link with her fork and took a bite, chewing slowly and swallowing* "I'm not hungry Melanie."

Melanie:"Well you're going to have to pretend like you are."




~Mel

*Kiley took another bite* "It tastes like dirt. I'll eat later. I'm not hungry." *She layed her head back down on the table*

Melanie:"Nooo, you'll eat now." *she ordered*



~Mel

"Stop it. I don't want to." *she snapped, her eyes flashing at Mel*

*Melanie looked back at her plate*
Melanie:"I'm just trying to help you."



~Mel

*Kiley sighed* "I'm sorry.....I'm just tired..." *She muttered*

*Melanie shook her head*
Melanie:"Don't be sorry." *she said for what felt like the millionth time.*



~Mel

*Kiley took another bite of food even though it made her want to be sick. She was only eating so that Mel wouldn't worry about her*

*In the mean time, Mel was eating her food in a sort of depressed way. Kiley didn't want her to help. She couldn't take that...she always needed to be helping someone, it was how she worked.*



~Mel

"How's mark?" *She asked, hoping mel would launch into a long story*

Melanie:"Good." *She replied simply, for once not going on into a rant*



~Mel

"Has he said Kiley yet?" *She asked jokingly with a weak smile*

Melanie:"No." *she replied, also with a small smile*"He's getting closer to saying mummy every day, though. Right now it sounds quite a bit like mooma." *she told Kiley with a grin*


~Mel

*Kiley smiled* "He's so cute."

Melanie:"Yeah. He'll learn to say Ki-Ki next. And it's not going to be just Ki, it has to be Ki-Ki."



~Mel

*Kiley smiled* "I'd like that." *She said quietly*

Melanie:"I thought so. It makes me happy, too." *she missed Becky, and everyone knew it. Getting Mark to call Kiley what she had made it a little bit better in some ways.*



~Mel

*Kiley closed her eyes again* "So what're you odoing today?"

Melanie:"I'm probably going to take a walk out. It's supposed to be nice out today. Well, better than it has been."



~Mel

"I haven't noticed" *She said truthfully* "I don't know what I'm doing today." *She half wanted to say sleeping, but she knew better than to let mel know that she still had no motivation to do anything*

Melanie:"You should come with me." *she suggested*"It'd be a nice change."
