Title: A few new rules
Coldstone_Harshing - May 16, 2006 04:13 PM (GMT)
All admins have agreed to these and these will be in affect from this post.
1) NON-ADULTS (all characters under the age of 17) are NOT allowed to use any unforgivable curse - this is because they would not be powerful enough, nor experiance such a great evil or hatred at childhood.
2) ANy unforgivable curse has to be meant and in the right circumstance.
3) No child/student can marry - this wouldnt be allowed until you were 17, and who marries younger than that in the western world?
3) No child/student can have children. (too many pregnancies at the mo)
Paige Robohn - May 16, 2006 06:49 PM (GMT)
I like the unforgiveable one. But do we have to get rid of our pregnancies? Cause I've already had to do that once, and I don't want to have to again....and for the engagement I'll just make her birthday in like, before her wedding.
Coldstone_Harshing - May 16, 2006 06:55 PM (GMT)
Right, if you are pregnant then you can keep the baby, we are basically saying no more than current. And no you can't leave school if you are a student and you cant get married, it simply isnt allowed.
Rose Scott - May 16, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
Fine. I'll change her age so this is her last year. People do it all the time.
Cecil Cloud - May 16, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
Two things
1) I'm taking it the ones about the spells were to stop me from using unforgivables.
2) Wouldn't Cecil still be able to use them? He's already seen more than enough evil. He did learn the way of the Death Eater through Sythe, and he's also part of Quantum Bonus.
Paul LaGrange - May 16, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
lol No one under 17. You are under 17.
Coldstone_Harshing - May 17, 2006 06:33 AM (GMT)
We obviously mean Characters.
Paige, age changing is not allowed.
Paige Robohn - May 17, 2006 10:32 AM (GMT)
Other people do it! Shelley Patterson went from 13 to 17. and I didn't see the rule in rules, so did you just make it up? and yea, paul lagrange meant character wise.
Coldstone_Harshing - May 17, 2006 11:40 AM (GMT)
The rules are final, Paige I am suspending you for 2 days on all accounts, your arrogance in recent posts is utterly unacceptable, we are the admins and we decide what is acceptable/
Squall Leonheart - May 17, 2006 11:46 AM (GMT)
Right, the rules are final. you cannot change them or get around them. if you are under 17, you cannot be pregnant, cast unforgivables, or get married. any arguements will be instant suspension on all accounts no matter what you are to Lumos. we will suspend you, without further warning. this applies to all forums, including spam forum.
Coldstone_Harshing - May 17, 2006 11:48 AM (GMT)
Quite right, paige is now suspended, I hope people realise how important these rules are now, they prevent godding and distruption of the game.
Melanie Hunter - May 17, 2006 03:29 PM (GMT)
And may I say that we aren't doing this to be rude and ruin possible plots, because we aren't. You might want to take notice to the fact that I agreed to this and my character will have to break her engagement, or wait until October, right?
We're doing this to try and keep things as realistic as a magical school can be. I don't mean "NO MORE MAGIC!" realistic, I mean that the marriage thing is a law in England, according to Adam, just as unforgivables are illegal in the wizarding world, and use of them by ANYONE means an automatic ministry hearing, unless it was done by an auror who has the approval of the ministry to use it or something like that.
So yes, if you have any further questions please IM PM or E-mail one of the admins.

Harry Potter - May 17, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
Shouldn't Harry be able to? Oh wait he's 17. Nevermind. =P.
Melanie Hunter - July 18, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
Bumping this. I've noticed that a lot of people have been breaking these rules.

Vega Steil - July 18, 2006 07:52 PM (GMT)

Mark Lois - July 18, 2006 07:53 PM (GMT)
I haven't broken any.. Mark is still a virgin and dosn't have a girlfriend, he also haven't been any fights involving spells. And James is above legal age.
Betsy Norris - July 18, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
oh yeah, the unforgiveable one...I totally forgot about these...
Zaurus Lucier - July 19, 2006 03:25 AM (GMT)
Even though Zaurus is a student, he is 17, so technically, it's okay for him to use unforgivables, right? Just checking.
Mark Lois - July 19, 2006 03:37 AM (GMT)
I guess since it says Under 17, not 17 and Under. But I suggest you check with God- Er, I mean Coldstone first.
Betsy Norris - July 19, 2006 12:50 PM (GMT)
Don't do that Mark. anyway, you should probably ask one of the admins.
Melanie Hunter - July 19, 2006 04:50 PM (GMT)
If you're of age I'd say you're ok.
