*Kiley was walking around around in the edge of the forest. SHe was compleatly covered in bruises from Jesse. She had a black eye, a bruised cheek, a gash on her upper lip and a bruise surrounding that along with the bruises on her neck and arms. There were also the bruises on her legs and stomach and back that you couldn't see. So she was trying to avoid people*

Jake had decided that the noisy grounds were too much to handle. He had ventured out into the woods to get away from all of those irritating students. He was suddenly became vexed upon seeing another student. He almost turned and went the other way; until he saw who it was. "Kiley?" he asked, seeing that she appeared to be badly hurt.

*Kiley looked up when she heard her name and glanced around till she saw who it was. She smiled when she realized it was Jake. She began walking towards him* "Hey Jake. How're you?"

"I'm fine. What happened to you?" he asked, allowing the worry to show on his face.

"I fell. Down a hill." *She lied easily. Kiley glanced up and noticed the worry on his face* "Don't worry, I'm fine. Seriously."

"That must have been a big hill." he said, not believing her for a second. He wouldn't badger her if she didn't want to tell though, he didn't look like she felt like being badgered.

"There were a lot of rocks..." *She muttered, knowing he didn't believe her. She half wanted to tell him what had happened, but she didn't want him to think of her differently*

"Okay..." he said. "Did you go to the hospital wing and have it looked at?" he asked, wondering if she would tell the truth if she hadn't. She might not have wanted to go there and have to explain herself.


OOC: Sorry, it's all I could think to write. It's stupid. lol

"No...I just went to the dorms and went to sleep." *She murmered, not looking at him*

"Maybe you should. What if you end up with a staff infection(ooc:Ow!), or worse?" He was concerned about her, which surprised him. He barely even knew her. He didn't dwell on the thought too long though, maybe it was a good thing he was concerned. He didn't want to seem heartless.

*Kiley looked up at him* "Because....I don't know.....the nurse doesn't like me." *She said, looking down again.* "Just forget it." *She mumbled under her breath, feeling bad that he was concerned about her*

"...Okay." he said reluctantly, deciding to drop the subject as best he could. It was, after all, like the elephant in the room, considering how obviously hurt she was.

*Kiley bit her lip and cringed; although it wasn't bruised, it was still sore. After a moment she decided to speak* "I can't tell you what happened" *She blurted out, not meaning to say those exact words, but they had slipped before she could catch herself*

"Why not?" he asked, now becoming more concerned. It had to be something serious for her not to be able to tell him.

"I just......can't. It's stupid and you'll think it's ridiclulious (sp) and that's I'm compleatly stupid and......I can't...." *She said, her voice breaking once from her nerves.*

"I won't think you're stupid." he said, not quite as gently as he'd meant, but more anxious and curious, "I swear." he added in a more sincere tone.

"Okay." *She said, then paused* "There's this boy, Jesse...I think he's in slytherin, actually. Anyway, he beat me up." *She said, which was half the truth. She decided to leave out the part of how she'd asked him to do it. Kiley looked up at Jake, waiting for his reaction*

He was angry at Jesse, whoever he was, but he did his best not to show it. "Why would I think you were stupid for that?" he asked.

*She shrugged* "Because I didn't try to fight him back?"

"Why didn't you?" he asked. He didn't mean to be so nosy. He was just curious-and mad.

"It was kind of....releaving." *She said truthfully, sitting down on a near by tree that had fallen and now lay on the ground*

He din't understand but he kept his mouth shut. "Oh." was all he said.

"I can't explain it without you thinking I'm a compleat basket case."

"Just tell me." he pressed in frustration, "I might ust understand." he couldn't help being curious.

"At first it was because I'm always the one causing problems and all and 'hurting' people, but then it was because I thought it would help......" *She couldn't believe that she was explaining this to him* "Because I thought that it would help me to get over Weston, so I didn't fight." *She said then sighed* "And he's a lot bigger than me anyway."

He din't understand how that would help her to get over Weston, but he didn't ask her to explain that any further. "How are you 'hurting' anyone?" he asked her instead.

"Well, I'm not helping anyone." *She said, not looking at him*

That feeling was back again. Compassion. He couldn't stand it but he felt sorry for her. "That can't be true." he said, his cold tone contradicting his words.

"All these people act like they want to spend time with me, when I know they don't for obvious reasons." *She said with a bitter laugh* "I mean, it's not like I'm all that fun laying in a ball on the floor with a blanket. Everyone wastes their time on me and I can't stand it....All I ever do is cause problems for people." *She added weakly, pulling a foot up to rest on the log so she could rest her chin on her knee*

"Well if it makes you feel any better, you haven't caused me any problems. And I'm not just pretending to want to spend time with you."

*Kiley sighed and looked up at him without moving her head. It kind of made her slightly happy that he wanted to be spending time with her* "Well, you need your head examined for wanting to be around me. You'll regret it later."

"You don't look dangerous to me." he said with a slight smile. "Why should I regret being around you?"

*Kiley smiled when he said she didn't look dangerous. Inside she thought it was funny. More of a private joke that she shared with herself. She didn't look dangerous, but she deffinetly was. She was a werewolf. But she couldn't let him know that* "You'd be suprised..." *She said with a smile, although it didn't meet her eyes*

Jacob noticed that her smile didn't match the look in her eyes. "What's wrong?" he asked, thinking of no better way to ask what she meant without sounding too nosy.

*Kiley sighed and looked at him for a moment before speaking* "You're very persistant."

He felt like he had worn her down and she was about to tell him what she meant. He thought before saying anything else then decided to just let the subject drop. "Okay, change the subject." he said, "What do you want to talk about now?"

"It's nice out today." *She said, purposly mentioning the weather with a small smile*

He shook his head slightly and feigned annoyance. "You can't tell from inside the forest though." he said, continuing the small talk.

"I like the forest though. Not many people in here." *She said, enjoying his obvious annoyance*

"Not many people to ask you what happened." he said, recalling her bruises, despite the fact that he had agreed to let the subject go. "I still think it wouldn't hurt to go to the hospital wing." he said. "I mean, after falling down that giant hill and all..." he smirked.
