Title: Reading alone
Description: open
Macie Montgomery - May 23, 2007 01:53 PM (GMT)
*Macie Sat alone at a table in the library. Her head rested gently on her closed fist. She wore her dark brown hair down and curly. She dkimmed a book that she had found with her narrow, blue eyes. The book wasn't particularly interesting, but the library was quiet and she didn't know where else to go or what to do. Reading at least gave her a distraction for a while. So she continued to read, until she could think of something better to do.*

Jacob walked into the library in hopes of it being empty. Unfotuneately, he found that there were others there. He sighed, but there was nothing he could do about it. He saw a girl he had never seen before sitting by herself, she probably wouldn't dstract him if he sat down to do his homework, she was reading and would probably prefer silence as well. "Hello." he said in a quiet voice. "Would you mind if I sat here?" here asked, refering to the seat across from her.

*Macie looked up slowly from her book after finishing the sentence she was on.* "Not at all." *she returned with a small smile.*
Jacob Penny - May 24, 2007 05:46 PM (GMT)
Jake smiled slightly as well as he sat down. "My name's Jscob Penny." he said as he layed his work down on the table. He figured he might as well introduce himself. "I'm a Slytherin 6th year." he then said, knowing the question would be asked eventually.
Macie Montgomery - May 24, 2007 05:54 PM (GMT)
*Macie turned a page in her book. She looked back down at it when she gave her name.* "I'm Macie. Ravenclaw, fourth year." *She said.* "But I'm fifteen." *She then added.*
((ooc: I have to go. I suppose I'll talk to you later. Thanks for rping with me :) ))
Jacob Penny - May 24, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
"Ravenclaw. So I'm not going to jumped for talking to you, right?" he asked jokingly. The entire division of students by houses was like a joke to him, despite the pride his parents both felt because he was in Sytherin.
OOC: No problem, ttyl
Macie Montgomery - May 24, 2007 11:44 PM (GMT)
"I don't suppose so." *She said, crinkling her eyebrows and looking up at him from her book, which she now was only pretending to read.* "Isn't that entire feud only between Gryffendor and Slytherin. That's what I heard, anyway."
Jacob Penny - May 27, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
"I think it mostly is. Sometimes it seems like Sytherin against all the other houses." he commented, then decided to take a tangent so not to get too far into talk about the feud between the houses. "So, what do you thank of Ravenclaw? Are you happy with where you were sorted?"
Macie Montgomery - May 27, 2007 05:21 AM (GMT)
"I don't know. My father's thrilled with me." *she laughed, thinking of her father.* "I fit in in my house, so I certainly don't dislike it." *she concluded.* "How do you feel about Slytherin?" *She inquired of him.*
Jacob Penny - May 29, 2007 06:42 PM (GMT)
"It's okay. I haven't spoken to too many other Slytherins. It seems like such strong personalities would clash if Slytherins hung around each other for too long, but still they all band together for the most part. I guess my personality fits my house, but I wouldn't say that I fit in." he replied thoughtfully, afraid he might have sounded a little too philosophical.(sp?)
Macie Montgomery - May 30, 2007 05:27 PM (GMT)
((OOC: I think you spelled philosophical right))
"Where do you believe you would fit in then?" *she asked with a quirky smile.*
Jacob Penny - May 30, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
"I don't think I fit in here at all." he replied with an unintentional smugness, not returning her smile.
Macie Montgomery - May 31, 2007 12:49 AM (GMT)
"Think you're too good for the rest of us then?" *Macie asked indignantly(sp?) in reply to his smugness. She tossed her hair back and looked at her book once more.*
Jacob Penny - May 31, 2007 07:09 PM (GMT)
"For the most part, yes I am." he said, though he regretted his attitude.
Macie Montgomery - May 31, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
*Macie moved her blue eyes along the page, pretending to read the words there.* "What about me? You don't even know me." *she asked, trying to match his arrogant attitude.*
Jacob Penny - June 1, 2007 05:52 PM (GMT)
"I never said anything about you, did I?" he said, not canging his tone.
Macie Montgomery - June 3, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
"Then why are you talking to me as if you were better than me?" she asked him.
Jacob Penny - June 4, 2007 04:43 AM (GMT)
"You feel like you're inferior to me." he smirked, "Otherwise you would have reacted differently."
OOC: Jake's really an undercover psychologist. lol
Macie Montgomery - June 4, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
*She gasped in horror.* "How dare you tell me how I feel! You can't read my mind and you aren't a psychologist."
OOC: Psychologist? Where?! :shifty: I'm afraid of psychologists. lol
Jacob Penny - June 5, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
He just laughed haughtily at her.
Macie Montgomery - June 7, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Macie matched his haughty laugh. "You're insecure." she said plainly. "Otherwise you wouldn't have to laugh at others to make you feel good about yourself.
OOC: Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I've been working.
Jacob Penny - June 9, 2007 02:09 AM (GMT)
Jake didn't laugh but he did smirk haughtily at her. She didn't know what she was talking about. The last thing Jacob was was insecure.
Macie Montgomery - June 10, 2007 03:54 AM (GMT)
*Macie sighed exasperatedly. She turned her head back to her book and began reading, deciding to ignore him. He had seemed so nice at first...*
Jacob Penny - June 10, 2007 06:44 AM (GMT)
Jake realized he had gotten carried away with his attitude. "That book must be really interesting." he couldn't help spitting out at her. He was getting frustrated with her and himself. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of that stuff I said." he managed to force himself to reply.
