Title: Doodling
Description: bored...
Carolina Sached - June 6, 2007 06:11 AM (GMT)
Carolina was sitting under a tree reading her history book. She shut it. No! she couldn't read more than two pages, she would die of boredom. She found a sharp stone next to her...she sat there playing with it for a while...dreaming.
She decided to take a walk around the lake. While walking she found a bare patch of land...she sat down and started doodling on it.

Jacob was in the mood to be alone for awhile. He was walking around the lake-where few people were-to get away. While he was walking, his nose was too high in the air for him to notice a girl sitting on the ground doodling. He tripped over her. He fell backwards to make sure he didn't land on her and hit the ground hard. He pretended it didn't hurt and looked around to make sure no one else had seen his fall. "What are you doing?" he asked in a frustrated voice.
Carolina Sached - June 7, 2007 06:13 AM (GMT)
Carolina got startled when he fell."oh my God. Im sorry...Are you hurt?"
Jacob Penny - June 8, 2007 01:43 AM (GMT)
Jake stood and brushed himself off. "No. Thankfully." He said.
Carolina Sached - June 12, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
no 'thankfully', hmph slytherins she thought eyeing his badge. whatever she shrugged. She got up straightened her dress and turned around, throwing attitude. She tripped over the stone she was drawing with and fell flat on her face.
Jacob Penny - June 12, 2007 05:06 PM (GMT)
Jake turned a laugh into a cough. That's what she get's. he thought to himself. "Need a hand?" he asked, reaching down to help her up, doubtful that she would accept his offered help.
Carolina Sached - June 12, 2007 05:25 PM (GMT)
"No I'm fine."she said, her face pink with embarrassment, trying not to look at him. she got up and brushed off the dirt on her dress. She mumbled something like "white dress" and the F-word. She looked at her scratched elbow and sighed.
Jacob Penny - June 12, 2007 05:31 PM (GMT)
"Are you hurt?" he asked her the same question that she had asked him.
Carolina Sached - June 12, 2007 05:38 PM (GMT)
"oh no its nothing." she said, she couldn't show she was a wimp could she. She suddenly felt like laughing...it must have looked so stupid...first he falls then she acts smart...and then she falls, she gave out a chuckle.
Jacob Penny - June 12, 2007 05:51 PM (GMT)
"My name's Jacob." he said, being as polite as he possibly could.
Carolina Sached - June 12, 2007 05:57 PM (GMT)
"oh I'm Carolina." she said still smiling at her stupidity. "so...what year are you in?" she asked after some awkward silence.
Jacob Penny - June 12, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
"You've already figured out my house?" he asked with a grin, but he wasn't surprised. "I'm a sixth year. What house and year are you?"
Carolina Sached - June 12, 2007 06:09 PM (GMT)
"yeah." she said shrugging."im a Gryffindor, 4th year." She added, quite expecting a negetive reaction.
Jacob Penny - June 14, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
"No wonder I don't like you." He said seriously. But he then added with a smile. "I'm only joking. I have nothing against Gryffindors."
Carolina Sached - June 15, 2007 08:18 AM (GMT)
She was about to give it back to him after he said the first line, but then smiled at him realising he was joking. "same here, i don't understand this slytherin and gryffindor rivalry thing, i mean big deal." she said. She was the 'i know, i think your right' type and would say it to be in the good books of the person. Sometimes she would end up contradicting her previous behaviour, like in this case.
Jacob Penny - June 15, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Jake looked at her strangely. "Ok..." he said, wondering about why she had just contradicted herself. "I agree. I don't think it's that big of a deal what house you're in."
Carolina Sached - June 23, 2007 11:33 AM (GMT)
"yeah..." she shrugged,a bit embarrassed realising what she had just done..."so what are you into?" she asked the first thing that came to her mind to change the topic.
Jacob Penny - June 29, 2007 04:56 AM (GMT)
"Sports." he said simply, not going into detail. He played muggle sports, which his father was somewhat ashamed of. "What about you?" he didn't think she would care if he told her which sports he played, but he still hoped she wouldn't ask. It was probably stupid to worry over such a thing but admitting that he associated with muggles hurt his sense of pride..
Carolina Sached - June 30, 2007 08:56 AM (GMT)
"I like sports too, but...um...basketball." she added rather hesitantly,"you know what that is?" she asked, doubtful, Because most of her friends here dint know that.

Jacob Penny - July 1, 2007 01:59 AM (GMT)
Jake was surprised that she had said basketball. "Yeah, I play too." he said quietly so that no one around them could hear. He was surprised he had even told her that. He wondered why he had, it wasn't like he knew her well or trusted her, but at least he knew she wouldn't laugh at him or think less of him.
Carolina Sached - July 1, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
"Oh, OK, cool." she said with mixed feelings, she was relieved she wouldn't get the 'filthy' stare for playing a muggle game, she was a little shocked a slytherin knew what basketball was, not only that this guy played it, she was happy to find another person in hogwarts who played basketball. "so, what position do, um did, you play?" she asked kind of excitedly.
Jacob Penny - July 2, 2007 03:24 AM (GMT)
"I still play every summer." he admitted in a hushed tone. "I usually play post." he said. He hoped no one heard him, and if they did he hoped they didn't know what he was talking about. "Every now and then I play point though. What position do you play?"
Carolina Sached - July 2, 2007 05:50 AM (GMT)
Carolina wasn't that worried about anyone listening, after all everyone knew she was a halfblood. "Oh cool you still play?" it was a statement more than a question, because she felt a bit low that she din't have anyone to play with anymore. All her friends had joined school in different places and very few came back home for summer. "i play shooting guard, most of the time." she added
Jacob Penny - July 2, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
"I'm probably quitting this year though, my dad's getting tired of trying to cover up that I play from the other wizards in our community." he said. He hated that he woud have to quit, but trying to hide his playing basketball was getting old and he thought it was stupid, but he would never tell any of the Slytherins or wizards in his neighborhood that he played.
Carolina Sached - July 2, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
"oh i understand." she said, her mother was reluctant in the beginning."its a pity you have to stop though." she added remembering how bored her summers were since people stopped playing, "but whatever..." she continued, trying not to get nostalgic,"...where are you from?" she asked wondering how a pure blooded person was friends with muggles.
Jacob Penny - July 2, 2007 11:36 PM (GMT)
"Yeah, I wish I didn't have to stop, but it's ok." he replied to her first statement. I live just outside of Grantham, Lincolnshire." he said in response to the second, unsure to why she had asked the question." Where do you live?" he asked her in return.
Carolina Sached - July 4, 2007 05:26 AM (GMT)
Lincolnshire was a muggle place, she thought as much.
"i live in Bath." she said, oh how she missed the place and the and the beautiful countryside which surrounds it, she smiled remebering the times when she used to play along with her dog at the riverside.
Jacob Penny - July 4, 2007 05:32 AM (GMT)
"Never been there" he said. "Are there many wizarding families there or is it mostly muggles?" he asked "I live in a place crawling with muggles and very few wizards. I think my dad was trying to hide us from other wizards." he said jokingly
Carolina Sached - July 4, 2007 05:42 AM (GMT)
"but hogwarts found you." she joked back."i live in the outskirts of the city, its a tiny place with only about 6 or 7 families, and yes they are all wizards. Muggles don't really come in that area, actually they can't its a magically hidden place."
Jacob Penny - July 4, 2007 05:51 AM (GMT)
"I think that's where my dad would probably prefer to live. The house we're in now is where my family's been for generations though, so he feels he has no choice but to stay there."
Carolina Sached - July 4, 2007 06:01 AM (GMT)
"yeah i get that stuff too. Its my mom's place, and she and the neighbours, most of the people there have got these houses since decades, have this neverending list of stories about our ancestors, its fun.But you know, sometimes it gets on my nerves, they have all these, i am sorry to say, outdated values and all, about being pure blooded and the kind, I feel its better of living in a muggle area, to keep up with the time you know."
Jacob Penny - July 4, 2007 06:07 AM (GMT)
Jake was almost too afraid to ask the question on his mind. "Do you live with both your parents?" he asked. He was afraid that the question might bring up some bad memories, but she didn't seem sad or anything when talking about home.
Carolina Sached - July 4, 2007 06:14 AM (GMT)
"um...no my parents split up." she said, "i live with my mom but I visit my Dad often." he lived just across the river. So it wasn't anything highly saddening or something, they had just an amicable split. "what about your parents?" she asked, casually.
Jacob Penny - July 4, 2007 06:25 AM (GMT)
"Mine are still together." he said "Amazingly. My mom's nie and loves everyone and my dad's proud and hates everyone." he answered her question before asking another of her own. "How did your dad firt in in the wizarding community?" he asked curiously.
Carolina Sached - July 4, 2007 06:36 AM (GMT)
"thats the reason they split up.." she said, not really elaborating, after all she had just met this guy. But amazingly they had had quite a healthy conversation, she hadn't had a sensible one since, like , ages.
Jacob Penny - July 6, 2007 04:43 AM (GMT)
"Oh. I'm sorry." he said, feeling as if he'd said something wrong. "I'm glad my parents are still together, but sometimes things get a little tense at my house. My parents tend to get into fights over the stupidest things and they can both hold a grudge."
