the moon shone bright catching the rain drops at just the right angle making them shine in the pitch black of the night. Faith sat on the edge of the window just watching and listening. It had been such a long time since she had been out there, she missed listening. The moon was full and it reflected off the shimmering lake water, every now and then she'd see a ripple form making her wonder about the creatures that lie beneath the dark waters. Her mind soared, she thought about the stars and the moon and the sun and the sky. Everything was coming back, all the joys of being out and about again. Closing her eyes she let a cool breeze wash over her, she felt free.

Faith spread her arms out letting her hair fly over her shoulders. She imagined herself flying over the grounds watching the ground move beneath her, she imagined the things she'd see in the forest curiously watching her like she watched them. Then she opened her eyes and she was back, back at Hogwarts normal, her wings were just invisible feathers on the ground. Her arms stayed up at her sides her head held high, she wasn't going to let this feeling drown her spirits. She took in a deep breath of night air and stood up, her arms still out, the rain hit her soaking her to the bone. She felt her hair stick to her neck and face and she felt her clothes start sticking her her warm body. Her bare feet getting cold on the marble they stood on. The feeling of being free and able to fly came back and her eyes flickered shut, she let the water drip from her chin and fall like glass on the hard surface she stood upon. She smiled feeling happy for the first time in a long time. The scary part was, she always imagined being happy with someone else and then here she was happy and she was alone.

Finn was hung over. He had drunk more yesterday than he ever had before mostly to forget the pain. He saw the figure that had been haunting his dreams. But what the hell was she doing? He took a drink from his monogrammed coffee cup, a gift from his parents. "Faith?" he asked more than he said, "Is it really you?" Finn thought he would never see her again, or at least not without a ring on her finger. He ran up the stairs, the moonlight reflecting on the beautiful marble. He wanted to kiss her, but thought better of it. He gave her a hug instead.

Faith's head turned to see who called her name, her heart skipped a beat when she saw Finn. He gave her a hug...a hug. She pulled away and smiled the best she could, clearing her throat and wiping water from her face. " Hi..Finn." she said softly looking him over and stuffing her hands in her pockets. She turned to face away from him and look to the glistening ground under her, she took in a deep breath of the cold air.

Finn saw that she didn't feel how he did. "Erm... What have you been up to?" he asked, concerned because she didn't seem herself. He looked down at the ground. "Look, I'm a piece of sh*t okay? I've done some awful crap and I don't even know why you are considering talking to me. I don't know okay... If you don't want to talk to me that's fine..." he turned to leave, a tear falling down his face. He had missed Faith and wanted things to be how they were in previous years. He started down the black marble stairs, and took another look back up at the beautiful girl he used to know.

Faith listened to him letting her eyes wander the ground, she heard his footsteps and turned jumping off the window sill slipping slightly as she ran towards him, she cupped her hand around his arm lightly and turned him to face her. " I want to talk to you I miss you." she told him looking down at her hand wheer the ring used to be. " I miss you." she said again looking back up letting her eyes meet his.

"I miss you too." he said, brushing her soft hair out of her face, "I want to be with you. My life is a dark tunnel without you... I've done some bad bad crap... I just want my life to be bright again... I want it to be good again. I want you to stay in my life... I want things to be like they were." He leaned in to kiss her.

He felt the same way she did, wow that was a suprise, she thought that after acusing him of kissing another girl and cheating on her would push him over the edge but it didn't. Faith met him halfway letting her lips touch his softly. She pulled away after a moment. " I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." she said just above a whisper, she looked down at her shoes. She was sorry that this ever started she was sorry that she had been so stupid, but she was happy that he was willing ot make everything better, she needed everything to be better. Faith needed her Finn.

Finn put his finger to her lips. "Shh..." he said. He was glad to see that she still loved him. He wrapped his arms around her waist. He gave her a little squeeze around her tummy. He deepened the kiss, and ran his fingers through her hair.

Faith smiled lsightly into the kiss and moved her body closer to his and wrapping her arms around his neck. Her eyes flickered shut and butterflies formed in her stomach. Faith pulled her lips away from his but kept her face close to his. " I love you Finnigan Tatupu." she smiled and brought her lips to his again before another word could be said.

"I love you too Faith Brown." Her soft touch on the lips made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He continued to kiss her and began massaging her back.

Faith moaned slightly as he hit a sensitive spot on her back, she shivered slightly and smiled agian into his lips making sure he'd feel it. She backed up slightly so his back was against the wall. It felt so great to be back in his arms again, it felt right.

"Are you okay," he whispered in her ear. He picked her up and put her in his lap.

Faith nodded and bit her bottom lip softly. " Yeah..are you?" she asked him back tilting her head to the side slightly letting him pick her up. She just now noticed how much she'd missed his voice and his touch and his smile. She sighed and let the silence spill over them.

"I am now." He said smiling, "Look at the stars!" The rain had just ended and the clouds parted.

She ran her hand down his cheek and smile dback at him, her eyes wandered to the sky and her smile grew. The stars were wonderful. " It's beautiful." she said softly watching the stars for a while then the moon, she had been staring at the moon for quite some tome before he had come.

He put his arm around her and held her hand. He kissed her on the cheek.

Faith looked back at him when she felt his arm around her. " Things are gonna be like they used to be...right?' she aske dhim. Tehy've both grown up through this whole thing, maybe it was best for them to be out of each others world for a while. She sighed happily awaiting his answer.

"I want them to be like they were... Don't you?" Finn asked, just making sure that she was on the same page. He didn't want to be broken up with her. That was painful. he took another sip from his mug. "I don't know if I could stand being apart from you."

Faith looked back at him. " We've both grown up ya know?" she asked smiling slighlty. " I mean, remember all those stupid arguments we used to have?" she said more as a statment then a question. " I don't want it to be arguments and stuff I just want to be with you like a real couple." she told him her eyes moving back to the dimly lit night sky.

Finn smiled. "Now that I think about it, we were kinda stupid... I was so distrustful and jealous of everyone you talked to. I was so petty. I want to be a real couple too." He saw the sun start to rise on the new day.

Faith leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled. " So..we're a couple again?" she asked closing her eyes letting the breeze rush through her blonde hair. Her smile stayed put on her round, pale face.

He kissed her, "I think we are." He leaned in and kissed her again. He had a potions paper, but none of that mattered anymore.

FAith was more than excited to be his again. Her her heart was beating fast as his lips touched hers. She kissed him back, she didn't pull away this time, she'd let him pull away.

Finn didn't pull away, if anything, he deepened the kiss. He wrapped his arms tight around her, not wanting to let her go.

Faith leaned in closer to him wanting to feel his rams around her. Her eyes flickered shut and after a moment she pulled away lightly planting a kiss on his cheek. She turned away from him and leaned her body against his looking up at the sky and the splash of color. " I love you." she said again it felt good to tell him that again.

"I love you too." He said softly. The air was crisp and still, a sign of yet another hot day. He held her closer and rested his head on her shoulder.

" What are you doing today?" she asked absentmindedly, her mind wandered and she let herself remember the good times she had with Finn. Her smile grew a bit and she grabbed Finn's hand wrapping hers around his.

"I don't know," Finn responded, "It isn't that important that I go to class... I guess I have seventh year syndrome... You know, where you don't feel like doing anything? I suppose I'm doing whatever you're doing."

Faith laughed. " Seventh year syyndrome huh?" she asked. Faith didn't even know what she was doing today, she hadn't been feeling well for the past few days and she didn't know why. She sighed slightly. " I don't know what I'm doing." she told him.

"Well how about you pick what we do today?" Finn said, not really having anything to do.

Thinking about it she turned her head trying to look at him but she failed. " I want to go out." She said liking the sounds of it already. " To get some drinks or something." she shrugged. " I just want to be with you."

Finn smiled. "I just want to be with you too," Finn said, "But don't you think it's a little early to be thinking about drinks?"

She smiled. " I meant later." she olled her eyes playfully of course then looked at the sky again.

Finn smiled, "I figured that." He put his arm around her again as they watched the sun rise together.

As the sun rose it started getting a bit more hot. FAith stood up and held her hands out for him to take. " Come on lets go find something to do." she nodded waiting fo rhim to take her hands.

Finn took her hands, and stood up, not using her to get up, just taking her hands. "Okay," he said, "You lead."

Faith started down the stairs and then looked back at him. " Do you still have that picture that I gave to you of us?" she asked him turning her head so she wouldn't fall her bare feet making slapping noises as they hit the floor.

"Of course," Finn said, "It's framed in my living room, don't you remember?" Finn smiled, "I didn't want to forget about you. Even when I thought I had no chance with you."

Faith nodded and stopped on one of the steps. " We have to talk about this sooner or later you know." she said softly just above a whisper. " We can't just let it go and pretend it never happened." she looked down.

"It's less painful than talking about it." he said frankly, "what is there to talk about? I'm sorry, you're sorry, we are okay right?"
