Title: Time Passes By
Description: Anyone
Diana Wulfric - June 15, 2007 04:36 AM (GMT)
Diana sat on the edge of the lake her shoes beside her and her pant legs rolled up as her legs dangled in the crisp water. It was a pretty warm day outside, the sun was shining with a cool breeze. It was calming to her, very soothing. After all it wasn't everyday she got to sit there beside the lake by herself in quiet. Usually there were first years running around playing loudly and many other students out enjoying the sun and sometimes she didn't care. Though there were times when everyone wanted to be left alone.
She let a small sigh slip from her lips as she thought these things. Diana was usually always off by herself these days. Her close friends had seemed to disappear and she hadn't heard from any of them in quite awhile which worried her a lot, especially her fellow Ravenclaw Noah.
"Don't think about those things," she suddenly told herself aloud as she glanced to the right. Finding a rock she skipped it across the lake watching the ripples in the water die slowly after the rock sunk waiting until the water calmed to do the same thing over again.
Simner Farden - June 19, 2007 04:07 AM (GMT)
"Hey..." Simner said "Whats up?". Simner had not been much for small talk lately. He couldn't believe he was leaving so soon... he wouldn't see his friends everyday anymore... he wouldn't even see them every week.. "Not wanting to go back home?" he asked suddenly.
Diana Wulfric - June 19, 2007 07:47 PM (GMT)
Diana had been spacing out when she heard a male voice speaking to her. Jumping she turned and wondered when he had walked up, she hadn't noticed him at all, which in some situations wasn't a good thing at all. Smiling at the boy she noticed he looked slightly fimiliar. Probably had a class with him or something, she thought to herself as her beating heart slowed to a normal pace.
"Hello, nothing really. Just spacing out," she told him in answer to his first question. When he suddenly went on to ask if she wasn't wanting to go home she nodded almost automatically. She didn't have a home anymore, since her parents died she thought her and her brother were probably going to have to stay with their aunt in the states.
"No I defiantly don't want to be going home, but what can you do," she said the last bit more a statement than a question. "And yourself?"
Simner Farden - June 20, 2007 04:28 AM (GMT)
'I am leaving this year", he said "For good..." That seemed like a depressing thought. He knew he would be living in hogsmead for the summer, but after he would be leaving for Saint Mungos for the year... Maybe he could keep his job at the school. "I am... I am just not to thrilled about leaving.
Diana Wulfric - June 22, 2007 07:42 AM (GMT)
Diana watched the boy as he spoke to show she heard all of what he said, it was to her polite. She'd always grown up with the saying, treat people the same way you wanted to be treated and usually it worked, but there were times when things back fired.
As he told Diana he was leaving for good and that he wasn't thrilled about it she nodded in understanding. After all she only had two more years left until she was out on her own in the real world, which sometimes was a nerve racking thought. Especially for people who had no clue what they were doing, where they were going and so on.
Smiling at the other she said, "Well thats understandable. I mean you've been here at Hogwarts all 7 years, correct? This is like a second home, some where you feel safe, plus all your friends are here." That was the case with her, plus a few added things.
As she turned taking her legs out of the water, sitting criss cross she looked up at the boy and tilted her head to the side alittle, one of her habits. "What are you planning to do after you leave? If I may ask of course."
Simner Farden - June 22, 2007 06:17 PM (GMT)
Simner looked over at her. He saw the understanding in her eyes "This isn't a second home... this is a only home..." He said, with very little emotion. Suddenly he realized how depressing he was being. He suddenly smile. "I am going to get my healers license... it is going to take me a few years.."
Diana Wulfric - June 23, 2007 06:59 AM (GMT)
As Diana watched him and listened to his replies she felt bad for a moment for assuming it was only his second home. She glanced down for a slight second and nodded slowly. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have assumed," she told him her voice soft as she added. "You're not the only one who considers this your home." Glancing back up at him she smiled to show she was the same.
When a smile showed upon his face she noticed he was trying to make their conversation a little more happy and she went along with it, without a problem. As he answered telling her he was going to go into the medical field and become a healer she smiled once again.
"Thats really cool. At least you have the skill for it, I could never handle being a healer." She told him flashing a small smirk. "Well even though it might take you awhile if you really want to be it you should go for it. "
Simner Farden - June 23, 2007 05:28 PM (GMT)
Hey if you want to be a healer I have no doubt you would be able to" he said with a grin "What year are you in?". He had noticed the look on her face when she spoke about Hogwarts bring a home to many... not the way he had. He had lived on the street for the first years before he took up residence in his aunts house.
Diana Wulfric - June 25, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
Diana smiled as he told her he didn't doubt her abilities at becoming a healer. It was nice to hear once in awhile that someone believed in you, even if you had just met them. "Well thanks, but I don't know if I could handle being one. It's not a career for me."
As she paused and waited for him to finish speaking she glanced towards the sun and sky her green eyes sparkling briefly from the reflecting light. Quickly though she turned her attention back to him cause the sun hurt her eyes.
"I'm in my fifth year, so I'll be heading into sixth soon," she replied as she all of a sudden noticed the change of look in his face. She wondered what he was thinking
but didn't ask and instead grinned extending her hand out to him. "By the way my name's Diana."
Simner Farden - June 26, 2007 01:05 PM (GMT)
"Have you finished your OWL's yet?" he asked looking over the lake. It was shimmering in the sunshine."how did... or are they going for you?" He asked as he took his own shoes of and diped the tips of his toes in the water. Pulled them out then let them relax in to the water. He could feel tiny fish slithering around his feet.
Diana Wulfric - June 26, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
Diana watched as the boy ignored her introduction and instead asked her about her OWLs as he watched the lake. Folding her arm back up she bent her knees towards her chest wrapping her arms around them as her head laid upon her knees. She too watched the lake as she waited for the boy to finish speaking so she could reply.
"Well I should be done with my last one in two days and it's the one I'm dreading the most," Diana told him. Her last test was for potions and she'd never had the apititude for it and now that she was being tested she would get nervous, making things worse.
"Otherwise everything else went fine. I think I'll probably get my highest OWL in Transfiguration," she said smiling a little, it was after all the only class she loved going to. "How about you? I mean when you did them."
Simner Farden - June 27, 2007 02:07 PM (GMT)
"Eh, I got 9 OWL's. "he said trying to brag "Highest in potions" Simner lay back on the soft grass. "I'm Simner by the way... Simner Farden" He was almost the two of them had met before. Simner dipped his feet father into the water. He relaxed more. "I could tutor you in potions if you want...just to help you get ready for the exam" He offerd.
Diana Wulfric - July 1, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
Diana smiled as she heard the boy brag about his 9 OWL's the highest being in potions. She stopped for a moment and looked at him saying, "Lucky you. Potions is my worst subject." It was the truth and it probably wouldn't change either.
As she watched the other lay back out of the corner of her eye and introduce himself as Simner she flashed him a warm smile. "It's nice to meet you Simner." Now she defiantly knew they had met before, though where she wasn't sure.
Turning her head she glanced out towards the lake her green eyes vivid in the light as she watched the waves relax and settle. Thats why when Simner spoke about tutoring her in potions she didn't quite hear as her mind was off else where.
"Did you say you'd tutor me in...potions?" She asked her eyes back on him as the wind blew lightly. "If so then of course I would love you too. The more help I get the better."
