Tiegan was sitting by the lake, her back against the tree. Her legs were against her chest and she was staring intensely at the squid that was sun bathing across the lake. She was drawing it, for lack of a better thing to do. Lately, Hogwarts had been quite dull. She found that even the books she read were not as exciting.

Tiegan sighed deeply. She wished that she was at home where she could swim in the Amazon or she could trounce around the yard, playing with her dog, Joe Joe. Tiegan wished that she could just go home for the weekend, then come back. Her life needed a little spice. She needed some adventure.

Paige had been sitting near the girl, right by the water's shore. Some idiots had been swimming and splashed her, but she got 'em good with a couple simple curses, got up and dried herself with some more magic. She walked toward the girl, who seemed to be the only normal one around.
She sat down by her.
"Hey." She said softly.

Tiegan looked up from her pad of paper and looked at the girl who had just sat down next to her. "Hey..." Tiegan was unsure of whether the girl had been just sitting down to be away from the boys who were swimming and splashing everyone, or if she felt like actually talking.

Tiegan assumed that it was the later of the two and put down her pad of paper. "My name's Tiegan..." She put out her hand for the girl to shake. "And you are...?"

Paige shook her hand lightly.
"I'm Paige. 6th year Gryffindor." She smiled lightly and spoke softly.
