Title: Dangerous Things Lurk
Description: Anyone!
Erika Hastings - June 26, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
Erika walked through the Forbidden Forest her wand out and cautious. Just a few minutes ago she heard twigs breaking behind her and a low growling sound which led her to believe she wasn't alone. There was a reason why the forest was forbidden and it was because of the dangers. Though half of the students didn't care, coming and going as they pleased. Erika knew she was one of those types but tonight might change her mind completely, after all she didn't want to get hurt or worse die.
Straightening up she walked past an enormous log and stumbled onto a path. I need a way out of here, she thought to herself quickly. Stopping tension filling her she let her blue eyes gaze along the darkness of the path before her deciding it didn't look to threatening. Taking the first step onto the path she heard the same twig breaking noise she had heard just moments before. Turning quickly she saw nothing, no one but knew it was time to go and so she did her speed at a walk only quickening if she felt the unease of the area around her.
Finnigan Tatupu - June 26, 2007 10:41 PM (GMT)
Finn had been dared to spend the night in the forrest by a friend. He was sitting by a fire he had made when he heard a twig snap. Lumos Maxima he whispered. His wand flickered and shone brightly. He stoked up the fire and went to go and look for what caused the twig to snap.
He walked deeper into the forest, his wand drawn. He saw a figure walking deeper into the forest. "WHO'S THERE?" He bellowed, trying to sound bigger than he was. He ran towards the figure and pointed his wand at her. He was suprised to see that it was a face he knew. "Sup Cherie?" Finn asked, lowering his wand. It was one of Lucier's girls. "Are you trying to find the end of the forest?"
Erika Hastings - June 26, 2007 11:18 PM (GMT)
Erika had been following the forest path for about five minutes before she saw a far off glow in the distance immediately recognizing it as a fire she headed towards it. Glancing around her she stopped when she heard running foot steps and a shout of ‘Who’s there.’ She stood still as she waited for the boy to come closer, wondering who it was and what they were doing out here in the forest at this time of night.
As the boy finally walked up to her pointing a wand in her face she was surprised, to say the least, to see Finn, one she hadn’t seen in quite a while. She smirked at him as her hand tightened on her wand because of the unease she felt with his wand being pointed in her face. As he finally spoke to her calling her cherie and asking what’s up she immediately wondered what he was up to.
As he lowered his wand asking Erika if she was trying to find her way out of the forest she shrugged. “Like you really care,” she answered her voice calm. It was the truth, he probably would laugh in Asura’s face if I never made it out of here alive, she thought to herself waiting quietly for his reaction.
OOC: Congrats on supermod by the way. =]
Finnigan Tatupu - June 26, 2007 11:38 PM (GMT)
OOC: Thanks, now you know that Big Brother is watching... Just Kidding...
BIC: Finn smirked, "You should be thanking me cherie, " He said lowering his wand, "I just don't want you to get eaten by a werewolf. I figured you were lost... If you don't want my help though... That's fine. See you later." Finn turned to leave, seeing the panic in her eyes, he knew she wanted help. "I have food, and a fire... And I know the way out... But if you don't need help... There's a few hundred kilometers to explore..."
Erika Hastings - June 27, 2007 12:17 AM (GMT)
Erika kept calm as she heard Finn speak to her, there was no way she would ever thank him, for anything. He caused her some hard times her first year at Hogwarts, plus he happened to hurt people close to her and she would never forget that. As he said the part about being eaten by a werewolf she laughed out loud as her blue eyes watched him in the dark. “Why does it matter to you? I mean for all I know your hoping I’m eaten by something much worse than a werewolf.”
It wasn’t everyday you met an enemy of yours and they all of a sudden want to help you, things didn’t happened that way, at least in her world. Once he turned to leave and she heard what he said she rolled her eyes. She could tell Finn wanted her to back down, give in and let him ‘help’ her and she wasn’t about to let him have that satisfaction. “Why are you wanting me to back down so much, hmm? Remember I am the girlfriend of one of the people you despise.”
OOC: True true, lol.
Finnigan Tatupu - June 27, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Finn laughed, "Let's just say I'm turning over a new leaf. People I love, I now hate. Maybe it works the opposite way. Maybe I'll start to love the people I hate." Finn was trying to change his ways. His girlfriend cheated on him with another woman. He hated that. "Are you coming with, or not? I have a steak cooking, and I'm hungry." His wand was starting to dim. He turned and started to walk away.
Erika Hastings - June 27, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
Erika listened to him and couldn’t help but wonder what was making him act like this. Though when she heard him say ‘People I love, I now hate’ she knew it had something to do with his girl, or his wh*re as she had always known her. The thought made her smirk, she knew how to anger him and it was something she loved doing. “What’s wrong Finn? Is there a problem in the land of love?” She taunted the smirk still on her pale face.
As they stood there in silence for a few moments she felt the wind pick up and she refrained from shivering, even though it was summer today was one of the rare days the cold came along, especially in the forest the warmth of the sun hidden from trees surrounding the area. Once Finn turned to leave asking if she was coming with Erika stood her ground. She didn’t want to be anywhere near the other but another part of her knew this might be a good idea, to go with him and talk.
Plus she really didn’t feel like freezing out in the woods trying to find her way back to the castle. So finally after what seemed like forever she began to follow, on alert for more things than one. “So you never answered my question,” she said finally speaking amusement in her voice.
Finnigan Tatupu - June 27, 2007 01:35 AM (GMT)
"Yeah there is a problem in my love life." Finn said, entering his campsite and sitting on a log, "Yes, my exgirlfriend is a freak. Are you happy?" a note of disapointment in his voice, "I hate her." He pulled a pocketknife out of his pocket and cut up his steak. He poured some coffee from a thermos. "Hungry?"
Erika Hastings - June 27, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
Erika made sure she didn’t laugh out loud just yet when he finally answered her question about his love life. As they reached his little and kind of pathetic campsite she sat on the opposite side of the fire, away from Finn but close enough to the fire so she could warm up because once she was, she was out of there.
As he went on asking if Erika was happy about his ex-girlfriend being a freak she just smirked a little. “Why should I be happy or not? I really don’t care if the girl’s a freak or something better or worse,” she replied to his question with a shrug. When she heard the disappointment in his voice she glanced up quickly her eyebrow raised as she folded her arms against her chest. “What do you have to be disappointed about?” When he didn’t answer right away she went on to ask a different question.
“So what made you hate her?” She asked finally shaking her head no to the food. She was fine and wasn’t about to take anything from him. “You know all that protecting pretty much went to waste. I think it’s funny you didn’t ever believe any of us when we said she was a wh*re.”
Finnigan Tatupu - June 27, 2007 05:07 AM (GMT)
Finn frowned. "I'm disapointed because she hasn't even talked to me about it. I've invested a year's worth of time and money in her and she doesn't even respect me enough to give me an explaination." He took out his monogramed hip flask, filled with gin. He took a slug out of it. "She cheated on me... With Delilah... That wh*re... If you see her, run the other way. She just... I don't know... She slept with Faith... Faith didn't even have the guts to tell me... I heard it from Flame. I thought I knew her better than that... She better have been impaired or something... That's rape by the way..." Finn sighed, and took another swallow. He gestured the flask to her. He didn't know if she drank or not, she was a slytherin so he knew the answer. He took a bag of marshmellows out of his pocket and threaded two of them on a stick.
Erika Hastings - July 1, 2007 11:11 PM (GMT)
Erika listened to Finn though her gaze rested on the fire watching the glowing embers. Trying to keep her face neutral was a hard thing because she was ready to start laughing at his stupidity when it came to the girl. It seemed to her that his ex girlfriend didn't give hell or high water about him at all. "Maybe she doesn’t care about you at all, ever think of that?"
It was a possibility, not that she cared it was his problem. Maybe it'll do him some good to loose someone he loves, she thought to herself as she leaned back a little her eyes still trained on the fire. As he tried to warn her about the girl Delilah who Faith had slept with she laughed. "I'm sorry, I'm not one to betray my boyfriend, someone I care about, with a girl especially." Erika had never handled people who cheated very well, she thought it was wrong and didn't accept it.
As Finn droned on she sighed when she heard about Flame, a Slytherin girl she'd heard of, having to tell him about his girl cheating. "You know that's sad. Someone else having to tell you about your own girlfriend cheating on you. After a while you should have noticed something," she said a small smirk coming to her face as she added, "Guess not." Erika wasn't there to play nicely, it wasn't in her nature, especially if you were someone who had made it on her bad side.
As he extended his hand with a flask she shook her head, she knew what was in the bottle. Drinking had never worked with her, but she had gotten better. Plus, then wasn't a time for drinking in her mind, she wasn't about to let herself become vulnerable. It wasn't a smart idea in which she knew.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 2, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
His mallows caught on fire. "Damn," he said under his breath. He quickly blew them out and put them on a graham cracker. "Yes," Finn said, "I do realize that she probably doesn't give a damn about me. Yes, I realize that I should get someone who thinks of cheating like you do." Finn was rapidly trying to answer her comments, but forgetting some of what she said, "I was the first to suspect she was cheating on me. She always does something stupid like this. I'm glad she's gone..." The last words faded out of his mouth. He wasn't glad she was gone. It was quite the opposite. He missed her, and didn't know how to survive with out her. Finn put another log on the fire and ate his smore.
Erika Hastings - July 2, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Erika watched as his marshmallow caught on fire and listened as he went on to reply to her comments and questions. As he went on she felt slightly agitated that none of what she said seemed to bother him, at least what he was letting on. The conversation she realized was becoming pointless at least in her mind. For a moment she thought it seemed like she was almost in a way his shoulder to cry on right then, so to say which made her disgusted.
Making a face she glanced at Finn only when she heard him stop suddenly in the middle of his sentence. Seeing his expression she knew he wasn’t glad about it at all. He stilled cared for the girl and probably always would no matter what in the hell she did to him. Erika smiled a little knowing that must be a hard way to live your life. “No your not,” she told him suddenly as he ate his marshmallow. “And you probably won’t ever be. Have fun living your life that way.”
Finnigan Tatupu - July 2, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
Finn downed his hip flask. "How the hell do you think I should feel? She was the only girl that I have ever loved. How did you feel when you thought Asura was gone? As I recall, you were in a deeper darker hole than I find myself in now."
Erika Hastings - July 2, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
Erika watched as he drank the rest of the alcohol in the flask and couldn’t help but shake her head a little. He was going down the wrong road, but she couldn’t help but think he deserved it. Maybe he now will go through some of the hell we all went through, she thought to herself.
She opened her mouth to reply to his question about how he should feel, but shut it when he went on about Asura and his little fake suicide idea. She remembered well what she felt like when he was gone and probably would never forget it. Yes it was true that she felt worse than Finn did now and it was his [Finn's] fault. If he wasn’t the one making his life a living hell and trying to practically get him killed, Asura never would have went off and pulled a stunt like that.
Glaring at Finn she kept her eyes trained on him. “For one it’s none of your damn business on how I felt,” she started her voice calm, though not a tone anyone wanted to be around when she spoke it. “Secondly if I recall you were the one who made him do it, so if I have any hard feelings you know why.”
Finnigan Tatupu - July 2, 2007 08:42 PM (GMT)
"What makes you think it's any of your business how I feel then?" Finn said obviously drunk. It really wasn't her business. It was as much her business as what he said to her. "I never made him do it. I tried to save him. He told me he was going to kill himself. Then Zaurus lit the tree on fire. I ran in to save him... They were trying to kill me!"
Erika Hastings - July 2, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
Erika shook her head disgusted when she heard him speak. She could tell he was drunk but still it didn’t make her feel in any less angry which wasn’t good. “You were the one telling me how you felt. You were spilling out your emotions to me like I was your f*cking shoulder to cry on,” she told him. All’s she did was ask questions he could have obviously ignored them or told her it was none of her business in which he did not do.
As Finn added on the last part Erika shook her head again and stood up her blue eyes gleaming in the light. “I wish they would have,” she told him her voice quiet as she looked straight at him. “By the way, it was you who led him to that state. How many times did you try to get him killed or sent away hmm?”
Finnigan Tatupu - July 2, 2007 09:41 PM (GMT)
"How many times did he return the favor?" Finn asked, answering a question with a question. That made him guilty, but he didn't care. "You have no idea do you? He was an a-hole, and you contributed to him." Finn took out his canteen and was ready to put out the fire. She didn't know her way out, and Finn did. He would run when it got dark. First he took a drink. "You didn't make his live any easier. He threw water on the fire and ran. "Good luck finding your way out!" He yelled back.
Erika Hastings - July 2, 2007 10:24 PM (GMT)
Erika rolled her eyes when she heard his questioning answer, she knew he couldn’t deny it. Things were never going to change with him, she could tell just by this conversation. When he went on speaking she watched him the whole time just in case he decided to do anything. As he told her she contributed to Asura and didn’t make his life any easier she glanced sharply at him. “Does it make you feel better when you say that Finn? Cause it’s not true,” she paused for a moment her hand going to her wand. “Have to tell lies just to make yourself feel better?”
She quieted as she watched him take a drink from his flask then dump it on the fire and begin to run. Quickly she pulled her wand out casting the stupefy spell a couple times hoping it hit him, if not there was always another time. She wouldn’t let him get by so easily, it wasn’t in her nature. “Lumos,” she said aloud once she had the feeling he was far gone. After all she still had to find her way out and she knew she would soon.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 3, 2007 02:27 AM (GMT)
Finn froze and fell flat on his face. He assumed that she had lost her wand because she was lost in the forest with no fire and no food. "I'm not a liar!" Finn yelled at the top of his voice, "Every man has a woman behind him. You were the woman behind him so you contributed just as much as I did." He was done saying anything. He just wanted to get out.
Erika Hastings - July 3, 2007 04:39 AM (GMT)
Erika had begun walking in the direction she had heard Finn running in just to hear a sort of crash and a yell that led right after. I actually hit him, she thought to herself in slight surprise because she didn’t think she would have, after all it was pitch black in the forest.
She continued walking as she listened to what he had to say and swore. It was true every man did, but Erika knew she didn’t help in the cause for him to pull the stunt. “I didn’t contribute, I wasn’t the one making an attempt at his life,” she called out for him to hear then adding, “If anything I was helping him through it!” After all as she remembered clearly she was the reason he came back.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 3, 2007 05:13 AM (GMT)
"If you recall correctly, which I don't think you do, he tried to kill me. Your judgement is clouded because you still love him don't you?" He tried to get up, but it was worthless, he couldn't move, "Would you let me go please?" Finn pleaded, "I'll just be on my way. I'm worthless to you."
Erika Hastings - July 3, 2007 05:25 AM (GMT)
Erika finally reaching Finn watched as he struggled. She kept her wand by her side but held it firmly. She smirked at the situation, it was now her in charge he couldn't get away, then his life was pretty much in her hands. "First off, fine we all tried to kill each other at once and will probably still continue to do, but hey you pushed to far, don't forget that."
Stopping she watched him her blue eyes gleaming as she walked around him. As Erika heard his pleading her smirk grew, why should she? It was fun to see him squirm like this. "Secondly again I'm sorry but my feeling's and life a none of your business," she told him as she stopped right in front of him. "And finally why should I let you go, hmm?"
Finnigan Tatupu - July 3, 2007 03:01 PM (GMT)
"Because I know the way out." Finn said. He looked around. The trees were dense and the moon was just about to the highest point in the sky. "If you don't let me go, what makes you think I'll tell you the way out?" Finn asked. He knew he probably had her here because she wanted to leave the forest worse than he did.
Erika Hastings - July 5, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
Erika watched Finn as he spoke her blue eyes cold as she listened to him. She wasn't about to let him go and she hoped he knew that. She could and would find her way out of the forest, even if it took her all night.
Stepping away from him she walked over to the path that he was facing and smiled. "I'm so sorry Finn but I think not," she said her tone amused, obviously not sorry in the least bit. "I'm going to leave you here, I know I'll find a way out. I don't need your help." And as if on cue she heard something rustling in leaves, it was time for her to leave.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 5, 2007 11:25 PM (GMT)
Finn smiled. "How do you know I wasn't leading you in the wrong direction?" Finn asked, "How do you know that's the way out? Maybe that's the way to a werewolf den... I guess you will find out... It might be the hard way though... I know my way around her Erika, you don't. Have fun getting lost." Finn spoke the truth, at least he mostly did. The way she seemed to be heading was towards the centaurs. They hadn't took kindly to humans since the war started.
Erika Hastings - July 6, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
Erika waited for a moment just to hear what he had to say and she frowned slightly though he didn't see it because her back was turned to him. "No matter what you say Finn I'm leaving you," she told him as she turned her head to look at him the frown gone and her face now emotionless. She knew herself better than he did and really she wasn’t the kind of person who had no sense of direction.
Smiling slightly she raised her wand once more saying, “Silencio! I don’t feel like hearing your pleas anymore.” With that she turned and lit her wand with the incantation lumos and began to walk away from him to find her way out of the forest. After all now that she could see she remembered passing this place hours before on her way into the forest.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 6, 2007 01:48 AM (GMT)
OOC: Wrote me into a hole... arg...
BIC: Finn sat there motionless. He tried to roll over and get his wand out of his pocket, but it didn't work. He hoped she would run into the centaurs, and then come crawling back. He thought he would have no such luck.
Erika Hastings - July 6, 2007 03:13 AM (GMT)
OOC: Sorry, it was kind of my point to leave him there.
IC:
Erika had heard Finn rolling around as she left him and contained her laughter but not the smile that lit her face. It was an hour or so before she finally made it out of the forbidden forest, alive thankfully. She jumped up into the air and laughed as she walked backwards toward the castle watching the forest knowing Finn was still there, stunned and silenced.
