Hans swept into the classroom and nodded to several students. He bounced along the aisles to the front of the class.
"Today - we shall be learning about the foundations of defence. Your previous teaching in this subject has be terrible. I am here to rectify that, it is after all my own mistake."
He took his wand. "Protego!" A vibrant and powerful shield formed around him. "The shield charm, excellent in all forms of defence and protects against many hexes and jinxes. However, stronger spells such as stunners and most charms will break through it."
"The formation of the spell can be done by a circular motion with the wand." He demonstrated the circular wand flick. "By adding the word - Pro-TAY-go a shield charm can be performed." He demonstrated. "The strength of the field depends of course upon concentration, the correct motion with the wand and the ambition to deflect the spell. If I sent a stinging hex at any of your shields at this point It would break through because I am much more powerful than you." He coughed.
"Ok, clear the desks and practise the charm."
OOC: A reminder of the new system to classes:

1 - The teacher will post the FULL lesson in the first post of the lesson topic. 2 - Students will then Role play out the entire lesson in a single reply afterwards. 3 - The professor will make the final post after a few days which will give out any homework and finalize the lesson. There will be NO posts after this one ((These rules are in an effort to speed up lessons))

50 Points will go to the character who best described and realistic post
Tyrin tapped his desk and it vanished. He held his wand in hand and closed his mind from any distractions. He held his wand out in front of him and made the sharp circular motion that the professor had described. "Protego!"
A wisp of light left his wand but vanished in seconds. He tried it again with a more expressed motion of the wand and clarity in his voice. "Protego!" A vibrant shield formed in front of him which lasted at least 20 seconds.
Because he was seventh year he then attempted to do the spell non-verbally. His first three attempts failed and he formed only a wisp. He concentrated, formed the word in his mind without any other interference and made the wand movement. He had produced the shield charm.
He continued to practise the charm non-verbally until he had perfected its formation.
Finn entered the class. He took a seat next to Tyrin. The Shield charm again? Finn thought. Every year he took the shield charm lesson. He saw Tyrin perform the charm nonverbally. "Hey Tyrin," He said, "How about we see how much your shield charm can withstand?"

You Roleplay your entire progress of the lesson in a single response. Its a new scheme we are trying to make lessons quicker and more active.
Flame walked into the classroom very late and asked another student what they were supposed to be doind. She didn't even apologise to Hans for her lateness, she didn't care what he thought. When she heard what they were doing she gave a bored sigh and took her wand out. Here went nothing- they had done it every year without fail and she had mastered crucio unverbally so why not this? Protego. she though in a bored fashion and instantly a shield formed around her. At the end of the lesson she packed her things up and left.
"Ok, thankyou folks."
Hans waved his wand and the room was back to normal.
OOC: Im severely disappointed with the turnout of this lesson.
