Title: Homework
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 10:27 AM (GMT)
Tyrin poured over a NEWT level essay on the possible strengthening and adjustment of the shield charm. he had books surrounding him and he began to quote a part of one. He had done several feet of writing and was only half way through. He was immersed in his work, determined to get an the best grade.
Skylar Jacobs - July 3, 2007 03:15 PM (GMT)
Skylar walked into the library and when he saw a guy that was often associated with Delilah Ferrari, he shook his head. How could anyone deal with her? He'd met her a few times and he was glad every time he wasn't thinking of her.
He walked to the table the guy was sitting at and sat across from him, very intent on reading "Hogwarts A History"
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
Tyrin looked up from his writing and acknowledged the boy, then as a mark of superiority continued writing. "Hello Skylar," he said, "doing homework as well? its certainly mounting up for me. I've hardly got time to do anything recreational." He felt the pleasure potion waiting for him in his pocket.
Sydney Cox - July 3, 2007 03:59 PM (GMT)
Sydney walked to a table where a boy from her year and a boy she diond't know were seated,"hi, mind if I sit here?" she asked. She was holding a pile of ancient runes books and a potions book in her hand. Some parchments were hanging out of her bag. she was wearing her reading glasses, all this made her look like a complete geek which she wasn't. Seventh year would make anyone look like a geek.
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
Tyrins books moved by magic to make room for his fellow 7th year. He looked at the Ancient runes stuff and gritted his teeth. He still had that to do, it lurked in his chest in his dorm. It would be a long night....
"I thought Owls were hard," he said to Sydney. "They are nothing on NEWTS."
Sydney Cox - July 3, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
Sydney dumped the books on the table, and sat down," thanks" she added.
She opened her runes book.

| "I thought Owls were hard," he said to Sydney. "They are nothing on NEWTS." |
"I totally agree." she said nodding her head, "But the thing is they just don't stop giving homework, and theres so much, you don't have time to learn it before completing it. it makes it so hard to do some self-study."
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 05:03 PM (GMT)
He dotted the page with a period and lifted his parchment up. Satisfied he rolled it into a scroll and tied it with his wand. DADA down, potions to go. He lifted out a half-done, half-scribbled essay. Potions was his worst subject. He knew how to make a few useful potions and his own concoctions for pleasure potions but nothing NEWT level.
He added a few words and corrected a few mistakes. It was shoddy but he had attempted it.
Sydney Cox - July 3, 2007 05:40 PM (GMT)
Sydney turned back to her books. She opened the index, ran her finger down the chapters and mumbled a page number. She opened it and reached out for her bag and pulled out a parchment. She got her quill and ink out and started scribbling notes onto a rough parchment before starting to write the fair essay.
"what subject are you doing?" she asked while writing, she could see his text from this side of the table.
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 05:43 PM (GMT)
"Potions," he sighed. "Potions is my worst subject. An Acceptable NEWT will do. I have no real use for potion making." He tapped the parchment, it rolled up and cealed. The second piece of potions homework: write about properties of Wildflowers and there effects in Potion making. This one was more up Tyrin's street, he was an avid maker of pleasure potions which needed wild flowers.
Sydney Cox - July 3, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
Sydney responded with a nod and continued her work, after she finished noting down the points, she got out a fresh roll of parchment.
"um...i'm sorry but whats your name again?" she asked, suddenly remembering something she had heard a bunch of fourth years talking about. They were talking something about how they adore this slytherin guy's potion making skills, and how they wanted to learn making the pleasure portion. But when he said potions was his worst subject it got her wondering if it was the same person.
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 06:02 PM (GMT)
"Tyrin Yates, call me "Yatesey"" By having a nick name it made him feel he was cooler and had more authority. His presence was much more dominant with a nickname amongst friends and acquaintances. SHe seemed to want his name to tell a story so he waited to hear what she had to say.
Sydney Cox - July 3, 2007 06:32 PM (GMT)
"Yeah Yatesey!" she said remembering it was him,"oh sorry." she realised how she had just said that. "i heard you were good at potions." she added casually, opening another book to write from.
Tyrin Yates - July 3, 2007 06:59 PM (GMT)
He smiled doggishly. "Some potions, yes, I'm a dab hand at." He winked and produced a small phial of crystal blue liquid. A pleasure potion, wizarding drug. He made his own remedies, mixing wild flowers with herbs to create a potent, enlightning mixture.
"Five sickles a turn, but I can allow you to sample." He slid the phial across the table.
Sydney Cox - July 4, 2007 04:40 AM (GMT)
"what is it?" she asked taking the phial and examining it.She opened the lid and sniffed it, she felt a good vibe go through her.She couldnt explain the feeling but it felt good. "um...is it the draught of peace?" she asked, unsure.
Tyrin Yates - July 4, 2007 08:19 AM (GMT)
"It certainly is not." He toyed with her. "These are pleasure potions, the safe, no risk alternative to muggle drugs. They give heightened pleasure, bursts of energy and make you feel good." He breathed one in deeply, his pupils dilated and everything around him became vivid and life-filled.
"I blend a mix of wild-flowers, tobacco plant and other bits and pieces."
Sydney Cox - July 4, 2007 03:39 PM (GMT)
"And what about illegal and addictive?" she asked when he was describing the potion. The potions effect was everything she needed these days, but she was hesitant, especially hearing 'equivalent of muggle drugs'.
Tyrin Yates - July 4, 2007 03:56 PM (GMT)
"Whats wrong with it being addictive? They are low in price, easy for me to make and not as addictive as smoking." He shrugged. "As for the illegality - its the risk you take, we all probably do something illegal everyday." He rattled the phial, tempting her.
Sydney Cox - July 4, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
"what's wrong with addiction?" she asked again in disbelief,"i am really not sure about this." she said giving the phial back,"i don't want to depend on something for life, however good it may be." she said, trying to overcome her temptations and think logically.
Tyrin Yates - July 4, 2007 05:01 PM (GMT)
"Everyone has a right to refuse, but your refusal is rash." He placed it back into her hands. "Take it and use it in your own time, if you wish." He returned to his work, silent after the small conflict between the both of them. He didn't like it when people refused his offerings, he was slightly offended but soon overcame it.
Sydney Cox - July 4, 2007 05:22 PM (GMT)
"I'm sorry." she said looking at him and gulping. She was about to give him a lecture on addiction, but thought this wasn't the right time. She realised he must have felt bad because he had made this himself. So she quietly kept the phial in her pocket, she made up her mind not to use it. "thanks." she added. She opened her book and went back to scribbling, she thought it would be better to shut up at the moment.
Tyrin Yates - July 4, 2007 06:19 PM (GMT)
Tyrin looked at Skylar. "I met someone today, I don't think she liked me." He of course was referring to Kiley Stewert, he had taken an interest in her with her being one of Harshings pet peeves. He had found her weakness and was exploiting it through comments and remarks. "I think she likes you though."
Sydney Cox - July 4, 2007 06:52 PM (GMT)
great, no answer. she thought and looked at Tyrin from the corner of her eye. She sighed and went back to writing her essay. She couldn't have people mad at her, especially when she had done something wrong, but whenever something like this happened her self confidence decreased even more.
