Title: Watching the stars
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 05:53 PM (GMT)
*Dorien sat with his feet dangling out of a window, looking up at the stars. He loved the night. Not only was it the easiest part of the day for him, but it was also so peaceful. He sighed and tilted his head back to look at the stars. The silence for him was interupted for him by very distant footsteps.*
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 05:55 PM (GMT)
Tyrin entered the large 1 roomed astronomy tower, surprised that anyone else was here. He came here at night to think and drink pleasure potion. He was disappointed that he may have to share his gold-like potions with another, or even make conversation. He tried not to show this but approached the boy anyway and sat beside him. he lit a cigarette.
"Warm night."
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
*Dorien nodded* "Yes, it's nice out." *He paused and looked out over the grounds. "I think I've seen you somewhere. You look familiar." *It then occured to him that he'd seen him in the library when he had been talking to Delilah. He didn't say thins, prefering to hear the kid's reaction.*
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 06:11 PM (GMT)
Tyrin smiled. "Yes, you were chatting up my girlfriend," technically Tyrin was single but he still considered Delilah to be under his control. "Do it again and Ill break your balls," he said calmly, taking another puff of his cigarette. He stood up and went around the back of the seating Area.
"My name is Tyrin, I have a lot of influence in this school, your name is unimportant however you may choose to share it with me."
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 06:29 PM (GMT)
"Dorien." *He said coldly, still not looking at him. He didn't need enemies. He took notice to the way he had mentioned Delilah, as if she were property* "And I was just speaking to Delilah, nothing more. I believe that she has the right to speak to whom she pleases."
Coldstone Harshing - July 5, 2007 06:37 PM (GMT)
"You believed wrongly. Delilah will have to be punished another time," he flicked his hand dismissively as if it was a compulsary chore. He breathed on his cig. "Its not your fault as such, its more hers. Most men falter under her powers of seduction. But all the same," he looked at Dorien sternly like he was his father telling him off. "Lets not have it happening again."
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 06:46 PM (GMT)
*He looked back at Tyrin, his face calm.* "I was only speaking to her. I assure you that I don't have the intention of persuing her or whatever it is that you're implying." *He really didn't care for the condescending way this boy was talking to him*
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 06:48 PM (GMT)
Tyrin sent a cutting charm at his face with a flash of red light. "Dont. lie. To Me!" This jack ass could at least admit he had a crush on the sluttiest girl in the school instead of lying to him blatently. "I don't like liars."
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
*Dorien brought his hand up to his face and turned so that Tyrin couldn't see the cut or lack of for that matter. It had healed itself almost instantly. To cover it up, Dorien pulled out his wand and muttered a spell that would be used for healing. He muttered another to clean up the 'blood' that wasn't there. He turned back to Tyrin. Dorien fought to keep his temper down. He didn't like this kid, but he knew he couldn't attack him. His stare was cold as ice* "I'm sorry you feel that way but for the record I am not a liar. Think what you wish, it makes no difference to me"
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 07:07 PM (GMT)
He was impressed by the trickery he used on the variation of the "sectumsempra" spell. He had a good range of healing spells under his belt. "Maybe we should forget the run in," Tyrin held out a hand, a changed boy completely, now with a visage of friendship on his face. Anyone with healing magic was useful to Tyrin.
But then he remembered the kiss and clenched his fist. "You are a liar! You kissed her." He had his wand ready again.
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 07:24 PM (GMT)
"Wrong again. She kissed me." *He pointed out, suprised that he hadn't seen this to begin with. He was beginning to enjoy this just a little, but he was very careful not to let it show*
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
"It takes two to tango," he remained calm still, that dangerous calm which made Tyrin formidable. "Im sorry Dorien, but I shall have to punish you for doing that. Its only fair, " he shrugged, convinced he was doing right. He raised his wand. "Prepare to duel."
He bowed and got into a duelling stance.
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)
*Dorien mentally groaned. He didn't want to duel. Dueling for him was dangerous. The wrong type of spell could accidentally reveal him. And it was difficult for him to hold back if he would get worked up enough* "Are you sure there isn't some other way you can tihnk of? I really don't want to fight you"
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 07:45 PM (GMT)
Tyrin looked at him, puzzled. What type of man weaseled out of a duel? For Tyrin a duel was to instate his powers, to gain experience and learn new skills from his opponents. He was gob smacked that Dorien did not share his passion.
"Yes, there is another way. You see I do not care for currency. My currency is favours. If I let this...mishap pass I expect favours, errands to be done to makeup. Now, you are replacing your punishment with a favour by submitting."
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 07:51 PM (GMT)
"I am in your service." *He said, glad to have averted such a large could-be diaster* "I will try to help you as you see fit to the best of my abilities." *He had changed his plan from compeating to letting tyrin think he's won or something. It seemed to be what he wanted*
Tyrin Yates - July 5, 2007 07:54 PM (GMT)
Tyrin smiled. "Excellent." The whole atmosphere became more friendly, Tyrin had won. He offered Dorien a cigarette, even though sure he would refuse. Why did hardly anyone smoke in a teenage school? Preposterous.
Dorien Hurt - July 5, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
"No thanks. I quit." *He said with a small smile. Dorien decided to change the subject back to delilah* "So is there some sort of history between you and delilah? I believe I remember her saying you two were on a split. I could be mistaken of course."
Tyrin Yates - July 6, 2007 09:12 AM (GMT)
"A mere complication," He said calmly as if a split still meant he was God. "Delilah and I are inseparable," he lied. Tyrin had lost control of her, she was too independent. Delilah didn't need him and thats what made Tyrin angry. Tyrin liked to be needed.
Dorien Hurt - July 6, 2007 12:33 PM (GMT)
*Dorien knew he was lying based on what delilah had said along with her actions when she had seen that Tyrin was there. He didn't dare let it show that he thought Tyrin to be a liar.* "I see......you're very lucky. She's quite pretty. Not my lype, but that doesn't change facts." *He offered a dry smile to go with this statement*
Tyrin Yates - July 6, 2007 01:28 PM (GMT)
"She is very pretty, I imagine its the Veela aspect. But, as I say - only useful for a few things." He smirked doggedly, Delilah was only useful for pleasuring males. It was her duty. Yes, Tyrin though, her duty to please him like a good little girlfriend.
Dorien Hurt - July 6, 2007 01:35 PM (GMT)
*He raised his eyebrows* "She's part veela? HOw interesting. I'd imagine that's where she gets her temper too." *He didn't agree with when Tyrin said about how delilah only had a few purposes, which he imagined were not very respectable. He pretended like he did though, smiling and nodding* "I think I get what you mean."
Tyrin Yates - July 6, 2007 01:38 PM (GMT)
"Mind, the same applies to all women," he said as if it was a fact everyone knew. He considered women beneath him, this probably stemming back from the weakness of his mother - joining "Him" and finally being killed by the ministry.
Dorien Hurt - July 6, 2007 01:54 PM (GMT)
"Hm. I think that's a bit modern for me....I'm old fasion." *He found that statement a little funny. Of course he was. He was over a hundred years old. He had been raised very differently. He couldn't exactly remember his life before he was rescued and changed.*
Tyrin Yates - July 6, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)
He ignored whatever Dorien was babbling about and stood up, now in some kind of political conviction. "Yes, women need to be controlled, they must be used to reproduce but never given power." He rolled his eyes as he thought of the current Minister - Isobel Beckett.
Dorien Hurt - July 6, 2007 02:02 PM (GMT)
"I can see where you're coming from." *He agreed, although he was starting stop trying to pretend and just replied half-heartedly. Dorien looked out the window and down onto the grounds, wanting nothing more than for Tyrin to shut up and get off his soap box*
Tyrin Yates - July 6, 2007 03:27 PM (GMT)
"So..." Tyrin said coming back to reality. "Whats your story? Everyone seems to have a sob tale of sorts that I constantly get bored with. One more won't hurt." Tyrin sat down and relaxed waiting for another depressing tale of parental loss and death eater involvment.
Dorien Hurt - July 7, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
"My story?" I was born in london in 1878....and I died 17 years later on the streets in 1895. "Not really a sob story....O live with my dad and my brother Jasper and my sister Bella. We move around a lot. I lived in Washington for a while.....a rainy little town called Forks. Nothing extreamly exciting"
Tyrin Yates - July 8, 2007 09:06 AM (GMT)
"Well at least its not the old orphan sob story," he laughed even though he was an orphan - his father slaughtered by Harshing and his mother destroyed by the ministry of Magic.
A snitch appeared in his hand. It buzzed around him. He began to catch it then release it to practise his reflexes.
