*Kiley was laying in a hospital bed. She had just stumbled out of the forest and she had a few deep gashes on her side and one on her back. She had lost a lot of blood and she was very pale. Kiley had her eyes closed, trying to ignore the pain, and wishing someone was there with her*

Jake was on his way to the Slytherin common room when he passed by the hospital wing that morning. He happened to see Ki out of the corner of his eye. He walked over to, his concern written on face. "Ki?" he whispered softly to see if she was asleep.

*Kiley opened her eyes when he spoke her name. She saw Jake and let out a dry sob* "Jake....." *She would have said more, but she was in so much pain and at the same time, overjoyed that he was there with her so she wouldn't have to be alone. Another tear rolled down her face, carving a streak through the dirt on her cheeks*

Jake knelt beside her and tenderly wiped away her tear. "What happened to you?" he asked her quietly. He tried to remember if the moon had been full the night before, he guessed that something had happened while she was in her werewolf form. Maybe she had forgotten her potion and ran into someone in the forest again, whatever had happened didn't appear to be an accident, though. He could tell she was in a lot of pain and he worried because she was so pale.

"It was a full moon last night and I took the potion....and I saw someone there, in the forest, so I went up to them and I was behind a bush.....and he saw me and he chased me, and he cut me, with a spell. So I hid, and he was there in the morning, and I came out.....and he knows......"

"Who's 'he' Kiley?" Jake asked as calmly as he could. "Why did he hurt you if you ran away? What did he do when he realized it was you?"

"Tyrin.....Tyrin Yates. He's in your house.....why do you think he hurt me. I'm a werewolf...that's enough reason..." *She was quiet for a minute making sure that she could keep her composure* "When he realized it was me this morning he took out a knife and cut deeper into my wound and taunted me...and threatened me." *She looked back at him, obviously terrified*

Jake couldn't hide the fury he felt. "He had no right to hurt you, you didn't threaten him in any way. I'm going to find this guy and kill him." He said angrily. He was determined to figure out who Tyrin was. Jake didn't care how powerful he might be, at least not at the moment, when he didn't actually have to face him.

"No....stay away from him. You're already going to be targeted for being with me." *She rolled onto her side and coughed hard into her hand.* "He tried to kill me...he wanted to..." *She coughed again* "But he couldn't do it"

"I'm not going to let him get away with hurting you Ki." he argued. "Calm down, calm down." he then said when he heard her cough, but he doubted that would happen after someone had just tried to kill her. "Wait, he couldn't?What stopped him?" Jake asked, confused. He wanted to find out as much as he could before she decided she didn't feel like talking about it anymore.

*Kiley tried to stop coughing but found it difficult* "I don't know....." *cough* "I think it was because" *she coughed again* "Even if he doesn't like me it would still be hard to kill someone...." *Kiley started to couch again. Her entire body shook with the force of the cough. She stopped coughing and rested her head back on her pillow with her eyes closed and moaned, exausted from the effort of coughing so much*

Jake decided to just try and drop the subject, he thought it might help her to talk about something else. He reached for her hand once her coughing had ceased. "Do you want me to get Mme. P for you?" Jake asked, completely blanking his voice and expression so she couldn't tell how upset he now was.

*Kiley shook her head* "No, I'm ok..." *She held onto his hand loosly, not really able to hold on very tight she was so weak. Kiley started to cough again, bringing her other hand to her mouth. She rested, her eyes closed, just holding onto his hand* "I'm so scared Jake..."

Jake tightened his grip on her hand. "He's not going to hurt you again, I promise." And he intended to keep his promise, he just wasn't sure how yet. He didn't show how scared he was for her. "What are you planning to do next full moon?" he asked. He didn't want her to go back to the forest, especially by herself.

"I don't know.....I'll take the wolfsbane potion and hide out somewhere. I'll need someone to keep guard of the room I'm in." *She looked up at him and sighed* "I really think it's going to get bad for you too if you're seen with me."

"I'll be fine." Jake replied. "I'm worried about you." Jake didn't intend to leave Kiley's side for one minute until this Tyrin problem was taken care of. He just wondered if she was scared enough to want him around all the time.

"I know...I'll be okay though. I think I've delt with worse than him. I dunno though.....maybe not..." *She sighed and Mme. P came rushing over to her and brushed Jake away so she could get in and tend to her wounds. Kiley looked at Jake appologetically*

Jake stepped back, he could only manage to half smile in return to Kiley. "I know...You'll be fine." Said Jake, even though he had no idea what she had been through and didn't intend to ask at that particular moment. "I should go so you can get some rest." he said and turned to leave, though he didn't want to. He figured she would be fine while she was in the hospital wing.

"NO" *She said louder than she really had intended to. Mme P gave her a dirty look for yelling. Kiley ignored her and looked back at Jake* "No...please stay....I can rest with you here...." *she knew that she sounded a little desperate like she was pleading with him, but she didn't want to be left alone*

"Okay, okay." Jake said gently. "I'll stay." he assured her. He looked at Mme. P and wished she would leave so that he could talk to Kiley alone. He watched her impatiently.

Mme. P set a sleeping draught down on the bed side table* "I daresay you know how to take this by now." *she was refering to Kiley being in the hospital wing so often that she would really be able to take the potions on her own. Mme. P gave Jake an exasperated look and walked from the room, snapping the door to her offfice shut behind her*

*Kiley ignored the potion.* "Thank you....if you want to go you can but...I dunno....I just don't want to be alone in here..."

"I want to stay. I'd worry about you if you left." He said and reached down and absently played with a strand of her hair. "You need to take the sleeping draught, though. You'll feel better when you wake up. I'll still be here." he promised

*Kiley was still feeling exausted, even without the potion. Her eyelids felt very heavy and it was all she could do but fight to keep her eyes open* "I'll take it in a little.....I don't wanna take it now...." *She stubbornly and fought back a yawn*

Jake wasn't going to argue with her. She looked so tired...she probably wouldn't be up long anyway. He wanted to talk to her but he also knew she needed to rest. "So, when you get out of here, what do you want to do?" He asked her. "Do you think you'll be up to going anywhere?" He asked, he wanted to give her something to think of besides the fact that she was in a hospital bed.

*Kiley nodded and smiled a little* "I don't think we've been on a propper date yet, have we?" *She asked and yawned, not able to stop herself this time. She liked the idea of going on a date with him, and she was glad she could think about it now and give her a little hope*

"No, not yet. Unless you count the Three Broomsicks, which I wouldn't." he teased her. "We can talk about that later though. You look exhausted, you need to go to sleep."

"I guess...if you say so..." *She murmered, reaching towards the potion. Although she was tired already, she wanted to have a dreamless sleep. She was so tired that she couldn't grip it propperly with weak fingers* "You have to stay with me....keep Tyrin away..."

Jake watched as Kiley struggled to grip the potion. "I promise. I won't go anywhere. " he said and sat down on the bed beside hers, I'll stay right here."

*Kiley finally, with no help from jake, managed to get the potion.* "Okay...." *She said sleeply (sp? wprd? lol) as she unscrewed the top of the bottle and drank it, coughing slightly from drinking it while laying down.* " 'Night....." *She mumbled as she drifted off to sleep, the bottle still clutched loosly in her hand*

Ic: "Night." Jake whispered reached for the potion once she was asleep and replaced it on the bedside table. He sat back and watched to see if anyone came into the hospital wing while she was asleep.

*Hours later (so probably around dusk, since she was brought in in the morning) Kiley slowly opened her eyes. She was extreamly sore from the cuts and bruises, and stiff from not moving at all when she had slept. Other than that she felt pretty good though. She made a little moan sound like people often do when they wake up, and closed her eyes and yawned. Kiley opened her eyes and looked over at Jake* "Good morning...." *She said groggly (sp)*

Jake had been sitting in the same spot for most of the day and when he moved to face Kiley he realized for the first time how sore his back was. "It's not morning anymore." he said with a sleepy smile, he was close to dozing off too. Sitting and waiting had been harder than he tought it would be..

*Kiley turned and looked at the clock and discovered it to be around 8:00 pm. She sighed* "I hope you did more than just sit there....like read or something" *It was obvious how much better Kiley felt after resting, just like he had said she would* "Or that you went and got something to eat."

"No, I was too afraid that if I left you would wake up and kill me when I got back." he said with a smile. "But I didn't want to leave anyway. Do you feel better?" he asked, he could tell that she did.

*Kiley smiled and nodded.* "Yeah, I do, actually....it all still hurts, but I'm not as exausted.....now I'm gonna be up all night." *She sighed* "You should sleep though. Mme. P will probably kock me out with more sleeping draught so I heal or whatever."

Jake didn't argue with her. "Do you think Mme. P would mind if I stayed here?" he asked, he somehow doubted it. She didn't appear to like anyone if they weren't sick, but Jake didn't want to leave Kiley.

*Kiley shook her head* "No...it's not that crowded in here...there's room. People stay over night sometimes. You could probably even use one of the beds." *She offered, pointing. Moving her arm had hurt because of the gash on her side. She winced and let her arm rest, hoping jake wouldn't notice*

Jake had been watching Kiley closly and saw her wince. He touched her arm lightly. "Do you mind if I stay?" she had wanted hm to stay earlier and doubted that she would want him to leave now that it was getting dark, but he asked just to make sure she was okay with it.

"Of course I don't mind..." *She slowly started to try to sit up in bed. Kiley made sure to do it all slowly incase it would hurt. She managed to push herself up and lean against the walll. It felt good to sit, but she could feel the start of a pounding migrane coming on. She didn't tell Jake, knowing he would worry about it, and she wanted him to take a rest.*

Jake kissed her on the forehead. "Wake me up if you need anything, ok?" He left her side and found an empty bed and sat on it. He didn't feel comfortable sleeping in there, especially since he wasn't even hurt or sick, but he was tired and he didn't want to leave Kiley. "Do you think you'll be able to go to sleep sometime tonight?" he asked, he would feel better about it if he wasn't the only one asleep.
