Title: Do you like the TIme Change?
Tyrin Yates - July 26, 2007 01:28 PM (GMT)
As you may have noticed, the plot moved the whole world 20 years after DH. Your characters remained. Does this affect things? Do you like the 20 years on, do you want only a few years on?
Flame Lestrange - July 26, 2007 01:34 PM (GMT)
I think it should be just a few years on as Flame is branded and is only 15....

Yeah, maybe three or four years after would be more realistic. And it explains why Sentinus is so popular.

I agree Adam, the death eaters would have been disbanded by this time, and would be used to their new lives. I think probably five years would be good.

Three or four sounds good. She'd have been in Hogwarts then.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 29, 2007 03:04 PM (GMT)
The time change does not affect the year that your character is in. You character stays in the same year, it is just years ahead.
The reason for this is we had to get away from the books. We know what happens with that wizarding world, and had to make it short enough so that people would still remember voldemort, but long enough so that he or his followers don't have any real power unless they join the Family.

No, I think what she means is that Voldemort wouldn't brand someone who doesn't have a wand. If it's too many years in the future, she wouldn't have been old enough to be a Death Eater, but I really don't think that matters. You can make up some fancy story about how her parents were radical Death Eaters and got The Dark Lord to brand their daughter or something.

20 years is a long time.. It would be hard to predict what died away and what lived. I never expected Dumbledore to die so soon, and it happened. Can't really predict the future.
