Title: Poster Boy
Hans Mcarther - July 26, 2007 05:20 PM (GMT)
Hans magically splattered posters all over the corridors with messages like "JOIN THE CAUSE" and "Rise up, Rule all" slogans from the Family. He had recently joined and was persuading his student to do the same.

Melanie Hunter - July 26, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
*Melanie was roaming the halls during one of her free periods and found Headmaster Mcarther decorating the hall with posters for 'The Family'. Melanie stopped and look around at them.*
Melanie:"What's the deal with this group...you see them everywhere but you never learn anything about them." *she thought out loud, not really noticing that she was speaking.*

Finnigan Tatupu - July 26, 2007 09:52 PM (GMT)
Finn smiled, watching her read. "It's good to know that you can read at grade level..." He said jokingly, "I dunno... As far as I know, nobody really knows anything about this 'family'. It could be your family, it could be mine... Nobody knows... It's some secret organization..."
Melanie Hunter - July 27, 2007 04:18 AM (GMT)
*Melanie shook her head at Finn, still not really getting that this meant that she was carrying a conversation with someone*
Melanie:"No, it's not like...a certain person's actual blood family...I know that. I was at one of the rallies. People were inducted into it...so...it's a...cult...that wants to kill werewolves and vampires and such."
~Mel
Finnigan Tatupu - July 27, 2007 04:51 AM (GMT)
Finn cringed. "Why would someone want to do that?" He asked, "Don't vampire and other magical beings deserve as much as you or I? You've been to the rallies... Do you support them?" Finn couldn't see Mel, the nice girl that he knew, supporting something like this.
Melanie Hunter - July 27, 2007 06:29 AM (GMT)
Melanie:"I...I don't know. I went to the rally to see if I would actually find anything out about them...I got angry and told them that there were better ways to protect ourselves from werewolves than killing them...like wolvesbane...but...I still don't know enough about them to really say...."

Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 12:20 PM (GMT)
Tyrin was helping Hans stick up posters, he wore his orange sash with pride.
He found Mel and Finn looking at the posters quite confusedly. He went up to them and smiled slightly.
"Have you got a problem with The Family?"
Finnigan Tatupu - July 27, 2007 03:09 PM (GMT)
"Do you support them?" Finn asked, answering a question with a question usually designated a positive response. "It's awful what they are doing. Other creatures have just as much right to live as we do." Finn smiled. There was an organization in the muggle world that had the same ambitions. They were known as PETA and were usually thought of as crazy. This was different though, these were creatures that should be on the same level as humans.
Brielle Creveaux - July 27, 2007 03:19 PM (GMT)
Brielle felt her fingers twitch in the direction of her wand, but decided that it was against her better judgement to harm him infront of the headmaster. She put her hands on her hips and shook her head.
"This just so happens to be the way the world works. Vampires use human blood to live you know. How would you feel if one came up and ate your mother? Although knowing you, she'd probably be stupid enough to invite him." She crossed her arms and stood chest to chest with the boy.
"You'd do well to know that the family is all around you. Step a toe out of line, and there'll be a problem."
Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 03:52 PM (GMT)
Tyrin took a more gentle approach, he liked Finn. "Finn, these creatures are in the way. Too many resources go onto the their restriction when they should be killed outright - its easier than allow them to hurt us. Once they are out of the way its a better society for everyone, no prejudice, united."
It was a perfect vision.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 27, 2007 04:29 PM (GMT)
"Do you hear what you are saying?" Finn asked, Tyrin was one of his best friends. He hated to argue with him, but he believed Tyrin was dead wrong. "I agree that some control is needed, but killing them? Shouldn't it be on a case by case basis? It's the same as saying that evil wizards should be killed just to prevent what they might do. That doesn't make any sense."
He turned to the girl. "I suggest that you don't worry your pretty little head about me, little girl. And just so you know, my birth mother did die from a vampire attack. Am I bitter? I used to be. These thoughts that you are having... They are uneducated." He paused, then continued in a tone mocking the little girl, "Oh vampires... Oooo how scary... Why don't we just kill everything that causes us problems?" He returned to his normal tone. "That's ridiculous, and you are ignorant to think that."
Brielle Creveaux - July 27, 2007 04:34 PM (GMT)
Brielle felt her face turn up into a scowl, and she huffed until her chest was puffed out. "Oh belueve me you filth, if I could kill everything that caused me problems-"
((OOC: Tyrin lol. I'll allow you to cut in since he's your friend.))
Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 04:35 PM (GMT)
"Come now Finn - these things are horrible, why should we put up with them? Besides Sentinus wants to limit them to begin with. Werewolves are the only species he wants to eradicate."
Tyrin put his hands on Finns shoulder. "Eventually, The Family will control everything we know, join now before its too late."
Finnigan Tatupu - July 27, 2007 05:19 PM (GMT)
"Look," Finn said, "This Sentinus has you trapped in a web of lies. How often do werewolves attack? How often do vampires attack? Don't you see the similarities between he who must not be named and this guy? Sentinus wants magical creatures done away with, he who must not be named wanted muggles to be done away with. You can't tell me that you supported what he did? Did you?" He sounded concerned.
Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 05:48 PM (GMT)
"Sentinus is kind to his followers, he can offer us powers."
"The Sentinus teaches us of werewolf misdeed, why would the descendant of Merlin himself lie?" Tyrin believed every word Sentinus said, just like the rest of his followers. "Finn, we are friends, see sense - join the cause," he whispered the last bit.
Brielle Creveaux - July 27, 2007 05:58 PM (GMT)
This boy really must be stupid... The Creveaux name was HUGE when it came to the dark arts, as her family had been very close to the dark lord, and still continued to do his deeds as they saw fit. If this idiot didn't recognize her alliegance to the dark side, he either didn't have the money to buy the papers, or he just couldn't read.
Melanie Hunter - July 27, 2007 05:59 PM (GMT)
Melanie:"Werewolves aren't all bad." *she said hopelessly*"You just need to know not to be stupid enough to walk around at night on a full moon." *Melanie stopped before thinking of something else that seemed to matter a lot to her*"What happens if you don't help Sentinus...?"

Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
"If you dont support The Family then thats fine. Its when you support "them" thats the problem. Support the enemy and you are a traitor. Those who support The Family however will be honoured above all others."
He smiled at Mel. She was an animagus, he didnt tell anyone because of questions. But she would eventually be told that they were honoured above all others.
Melanie Hunter - July 27, 2007 06:14 PM (GMT)
Melanie:"Oh...." *Once that had been explained...that there actually was a nice safe place in the middle, it all seemed a whole lot better. Still not great, but at least people wouldn't be forced to pick sides or die.*"Right. So...no one gets killed but the werewolves and vampires?" *she asked stupidly. This whole situation was getting to her brain and making her sound like a moron.*

Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 06:26 PM (GMT)
"We believe that werewolves should be eradicated from earth. Then once they are gone Vampires are as well. But as long as the Werewolf policy remains Sentinus can only restrict their magic, force them into prisons without committing an illegal offense. The ministry wont budge."
She was at least interested in what the family were about, he hated people who hated it outright.
"Vamps and Weries are immediate threats. Then theirs the Veela, Grand Sentinus says they should be sluts for Wizards to create beautiful Wizarding children. Centaurs and Goblins should also be imprisoned. Then the grand plan is that Wizards will take over the muggle world and help them, rule them. But not kill them."
Melanie Hunter - July 27, 2007 06:54 PM (GMT)
Melanie:"Help them? Why do they need or help? We've been fine all these years minding our own business." *she pointed out, even though she knew that Tyrin would have a strong point against that. That was how it always worked.*

Tyrin Yates - July 27, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
"The muggles have grown irrational: atom bombs? World Wars?" He looked down, dissapointed, "They dont know whats good for them, they hurt each other en mass. Wizards do not hurt each other, we only cut away the fat.. werewolves... in order to strengthen ourselves."
Finnigan Tatupu - July 27, 2007 08:17 PM (GMT)
"Don't you see what will happen if this Sentinus guy gains all this power?" Finn asked, "There will always be people that don't support issues like this. There always have been, and there always will be." He could sense that tensions were rising. He could tell that Mel was passionate about this issue, though he had no idea why. "Couldn't we spend the money on developing cures for werewolfism and vampirism? Rather than killing someone that we disagree with? That's muggle logic."
Tyrin Yates - July 28, 2007 09:04 AM (GMT)
"werewolves have been around for centuries and still there is no cure for it." They could debate for days and days and get no where, Tyrin was stuck were he was and so was Finn. He sighed, Finn wasn't understanding the cause at all.
"Perhaps both of you would like to come a long to a demonstration - The Sentinus is giving a lecture to see whether more people are interested?"
Finnigan Tatupu - July 28, 2007 03:58 PM (GMT)
Finn sighed quietly. He didn't really want to go because he knew that people with an agenda would push it down your throat until you agreed with them. "Yeah, I guess I could... If you would reconsider your position on the issue... Maybe go to a rally for People for Magical Creature Rights Everywhere. Then, and only then I might consider going to a meeting."
Tyrin Yates - July 28, 2007 05:00 PM (GMT)
"If there is a rally, the Family shall be there and ensure the safety of nearby Wizards," what they really would do was intimidate the rally. "There are no safe protests while such vermin still exists. Its clear we cannot agree with this. But it would be educational to get many sides of the Family. I will never fight for the rights of creatures but a simple lecture is not declaring yourself with the family. Please, have an open mind."
Finnigan Tatupu - July 28, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
"The ministry will never allow that to happen." Finn said sure of himself, "The ministry is no longer corrupt. As far as I know, the ministry has regulations in place and I doubt they will let the family do this..." Finn doubted his own words. The ministry had supposedly gotten rid of the corruption, but was it fixed enough? He doubted it.

Melanie Hunter - July 28, 2007 06:23 PM (GMT)
Melanie:"Besides, I've already been to one of the rallies. It was bizarre. I think that, by the end of it, I was one of the only people who didn't go off to join Sentinus. I do know that I was the only person to speak out against you."
~Mel
Finnigan Tatupu - July 28, 2007 06:39 PM (GMT)
Finn looked at Mel. He could tell that she was a good judge of people. "I don't know Tyrin," Finn said, speaking as his friend, rather than as someone who opposed his beliefs, "I think... I think you might have been duped into supporting something you normally wouldn't..."
