Title: needing an extra person for a plot?
Adriana Falchetti - July 29, 2007 07:38 PM (GMT)
I'm willing to take part in a plot. If anyone needs me. Espesically for the "The Family" plot. Just to let you know i prefer causing a bit of trouble so i'd like to be one who stands against them if possible. I'm not talking doing incredible things or anything just maybe standing up for what Adriana strongly believes in. If anyone else wants or needs a person for another plot than that one i'll be more than happy to join.
owl me or just reply to this post.

Sigh... Im sorry but Im going to have a rant. Why on earth would you stand against them? Just because they are the external conflict of the site doesnt mean every gryffindor and hufflepuff have to be firmly against.
At the moment no one seems to want to be in the Family because they are the "bad guys." In reality they are active in an already widely supported belief that werewolves and beasts are a danger to the Wizarding public.
In real life very few people would stand against a major political movement, why on Lumos does everyone have to be the Hero?
Just because you are int he family doesnt mean your character is evil.
Rant over.

I'm going to have to agree with Adam. The Family hasn't proven itself to be the "evil force" yet. It remains a political party with the main parts of it being that werewolves are bad and vampires are bad, which is an incredibly popular doctrine in the wizarding world. There hasn't been too much more than that said about the Family. Very few realistically played characters would stand up to the Family. If you've read DH, even when Voldemort controls the ministry, not that many people disagree with the ministry.
JKR just recently said that the ministry's corrupt ways had been eradicated with Kingsley as the Minister. However, this does not mean that werewolf and vampire reduction/extermination isn't happening and isn't good.

Ok. i do agree with you but there are people out there even in JKR's stories that stand up for what they believe in. In adrianas eyes they are "bad" or "evil". She's a young girl she can't do much but she can stand up to people and let it be know that what they are doing is wrong or that they are going about it in the wrong way. How can you sit there and say every gryffindor and hufflepuff are against it. I read the books you know? Not everyone is ALL FOR GOOD and NONE FOR BAD. All i'm saying is i would like to be a part of the plot. Instead of being against me joining you should let me try and see where it takes the plot. If not oh well then i'll just be here to RP.
Still if anyone needs someone for a plot owl me or reply back please.

I think what Adam was trying to say is that everyone on the site who is not in Slytherin tries to be the hero. BTW, you can just RP in open topics to get involved in the plot.

I say let her do what she wants to do, guys. I'm pretty sure that, right now, I'm taking care of non-Slytherins doing the wrong thing. lol. Alex and Ian are gonna try and help the werewolves, Holly and Jesse will join The Family, Tracie is going to be neutral because she's intelligent, as for Mel and Isobel...I don't know.

Im not forbidding anyone to do anything - Im simply making a point that needs to be listened too or else the whole plot will fall apart.

Sorry for butting in but i was meaning to ask, out of curiosity, if someone joined the Family and later began to question its methods and such. What would happen if they tried to defect? (for lack of a better word)
It was just something i was thinking about when reading through the plot. This didnt seem like the appropriate place to ask but you were all discussing peoples reactions to the family so it perked my interest. Hope you dont mind.
Finnigan Tatupu - July 31, 2007 10:39 PM (GMT)
I think that would be a logical part of a plot... when the family starts to do eviler things, some people would desert them...
Adriana Falchetti - July 31, 2007 11:52 PM (GMT)
all i have to say is
you should look at me like a challange to bring over to the dark side. you never know with me....i might do it...
anyways just forget it i'll just rp around the site make friends and be goofy.
Melanie Hunter - August 1, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
If someone tried to deflect? I guess it would depend on the person.
*smiles insanely*
They'd have to hide, because...it's sort of like any normal group that kills people (lmfao, that sounded bad. lol, but you know what I mean): It's okay to be neutral, the won't hurt you for that, but once a part of the group you're always part of a group; Leaving the group is like leaving you family.
That's just how I've thought it to be, anywho, since like...if you're leaving the one side...where are you going to go and do? You could tell all the people exactly what they're doing...tell the ENEMY exactly what they're doing! It's all logic, really. :)
btw, I have thought over every possible aspect of this plot. lol.
And I'll remember that. :) lol. One of my characters from the sign can go up to her, hold out a cupcake and be "Come to The Family. We have cupcakes." lol. :)

Adriana Falchetti - August 1, 2007 03:35 AM (GMT)
lol
Adriana would definatley go to "The Family" for cupcakes. Lets just say she's wild about sweets and well...you offer her something sweet she'll probably kiss your feet or name you queen/king of the world. lol. she's just a normal girl who has her ups and downs and is somewhere in the middle.
Melanie Hunter - August 1, 2007 04:53 AM (GMT)
lol, seriously? Dude...it's like a predator trying to get a kid into their car...give them candy. lol. If you really want me to do that, it could make an interesting topic. :)
~Mel
Adriana Falchetti - August 1, 2007 09:05 AM (GMT)
YEAH! lets do it.
I'm up for it.......start the topic and i'll come in...or should i start it and you come in? i never get these things right.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 1, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
I didnt really phrase my question very well before. Sorry. What i meant is i expect some people will/try to defect, i wanted to ask what would happen too them. Mel answered my question though. So thank you both ^.^
Charlie Silverwind - August 1, 2007 10:19 PM (GMT)
This would be perfect! Charlie has a relative who's about to join The Family, it would be most interesting to see how this would end up.
