Charlie withdrawed his wand from inside his rob, "Lumos" he said quietly, a light appeared at the tip of his hand. He set his wand down lightly on the floor and proped his telescope on it's stand and tilted it foward. Bending over to pick up his wand his waist bumped the stand, causing the whole thing to fall to it's side, making a loud racket in the middle of the night.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 6, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
Fawne had been on a late night wander and had ended up on the steps of the astronomy tower. She sighed delicately and continued up the steps towards the top. She nearly jumped out her skin when a loud racket rang through the tower and she found herself running the rest of the way to the source; whilst pulling her wand from her skirt pocket and muttering “Lumos.” She was greeted by the sight of someone who had knocked over their telescope. She giggled abstractedly and wandered over to the mess to help; bending down onto her knees she reached for some parts and paused.
“Would you like some help?”
Charlie Silverwind - August 6, 2007 11:07 PM (GMT)
"That would be nice," he said, luckily her wand didn't produce enough light to see his blushing cheeks. "What'cha doing up so late?" He asked as he set his telescope back on it's stand, than trying to find an eyepeice that had broken off.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 7, 2007 01:07 PM (GMT)
Her fingers clasped around a small piece that she couldn't identify so she rose to her feet to extended her spare left hand, since her right was holding her wand, towards the boy with the piece balanced on her palm. "Wandering the castle. It's much more mysterious at night." She titled her head to the side a little as she spoke softly; out of habit. "May i ask why you are up so late?" She realised the answer was pretty obvious but you couldn't take words back so she just continued. "I'm Fawne, by the way." she added dreamily.
Charlie Silverwind - August 7, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
"Oh, there's more to see at night," He said simply, she sparked an curious interest in his mind. Who would wander the night after hours because she enjoyed exploring the mysteries of the Castle. He took the piece and managed to get a better look at her face, "I'm Charlie, I think I've seen you in some of my classes before," He said, which was generally true.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 01:40 AM (GMT)
She wasn't quite sure whether he meant there was more to see in the sky or in the castle but she nodded in agreement to both as a reply. At his recognition of her, Fawne stepped a little closer and raised her wand slightly so she could see Charlie better. She realised she did recognise him from class also. She smiled delicately at him "You have, i usually sit by the windows." Her grey eyes turned to scan the room "Anything missing?" She paused in curious thought before continuing in a melodic tone "May i ask as to what you were looking for in the sky? It seems awfully late just to be star gazing."
Charlie Silverwind - August 8, 2007 01:53 AM (GMT)
Charlie looked around and shook his head, "Nope, I think that's all," He turned to his telescope and tilted it slightly," Hopefully this time he won't knock it over again. He glanced at Fawne for a second, to try and take in her looks before looking through the telescope. "Well.." he said, tilting the telescope forward a bit, "Sometimes I just try and find new things, it's nice and peaceful up here," He said, moving the telescope again.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 06:30 PM (GMT)
Fawne turned to face the same direction as the telescope; she stood on her tip toes and tipped her head back as if to gaze at the same sight as the telescope with only her luminous grey eyes semmingly completely unaware of her companion's glance. She sighed softly before returning her feet to the floor and her gaze to Charlie, her eyes seemingly both obsereving him and misty in thought. She flicked her fair skinned hand lightly and her Lumos spell brightened before she tucked her wand in the belt loops of her skirt; effectively lighting her person and the small area around her. A slender hand twisted locks of long deep brown hair around her fingers before she finally spoke again. “Do you often find new things? I think it sounds delightfully interesting. Even the mysteries of the castle are no longer as interesting when you find them for a second time, and I do like to find something new.”
Charlie Silverwind - August 8, 2007 08:36 PM (GMT)
Charlie looked up from his microscope, examining her for a second. Her wand gave her a sort of errie glow around her. Feeling as if he seemed like he was looking at her in a funny way, which he was, he turned away quickly and lowered his head back behind the telescope. "I find that the universe has more to discover, it's so big that there's always something new," he answered, not looking back up at her. A trickle of sweat ran down his forehead and he wiped it away with his hand, brushing his wavy brown hair in the process. He tried to control his breathing, thinking that he might be breathing to loud he struggled for breath quietly. He did that a lot when nervous, always thinking his breathing was too loud.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
Fawne turned her gaze upwards again and either choose to ignore Charlie looking at her or she just didn't notice; in either case she didn't seem at all bothered though she did like to claim she was observant. She returned her gaze to him and noticed him seeming to brush his hair from his forehead, she felt the urge to go over and ruffle it; she was quirky like that. She didn't however and merely took a step closer towards the telescope. She tilted her head to the side and her large grey eyes were staring at both the telescope and Charlie "Do you think that perhaps you could show me some of the new things in the sky?" She didn't know much about telescopes herself since she hadn't really studied astronomy as was from a wizarding family.
Charlie Silverwind - August 8, 2007 09:25 PM (GMT)
Charlie glanced up from his telescope when Fawne spoke, he was expecting her to ask. "Yea sure," He said, he took a step back from the telescope. "I already have it aimed at something, a nebula," he said, looking away for a quick second to wipe another bead of sweat away. Oh he prayed she didn't notice it, it wasn't that he was trying to feel nervous- It was just that it was hard when around girls like Fawne. He gave out a small smile, hoping it would hide his nervous behavior, or at least hide that it seemed like he was nervous.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 09:39 PM (GMT)
At his agreeing she almost ran the rest of the small distance between her and the telescope but instead she settled for a small nod of her head and a quick walk. She looked through the telescope eagerly she kept both hands away from it though as if she was afraid to nudge it, one hand was clasped around her Thestral pendant and the other was placed loosely on her hip next to her wand. She stepped back smiling ethereally and turned her gaze to Charlie. "Wow its beautiful, do you find things like this all the time? You have me starting to question if exploring the castle is more fun than stargazing. That's unusual but thank you." She blinked as if trying to decided which was more entertaining in the end she settled on neither and just continued to watch Charlie noticing his small smile she smiled back in return. She decided that he seemed a little... off but she couldn't place what was wrong.

OOC: I love her personality! My posts can't match up to the details in yours lol.
IC: Charlie's smile grew wider, "Yea, stargazing is pretty fun," He said, she was an very interesting person. At least, the way she acted was- maybe she was just tired, it is after all in the middle of the night. He moved over beside the telescope, "Sometimes, you can find really bright stars, some blue or green,"
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
OOC: Thanks lol but i find your posts are pretty good too details wise i have loads to reply too! I just have the unfair advantage of being someone who types a lot. And Fawne is by far my most favorite original character (she's based a bit on a cannon char.)
IC: If it was at all possible Fawne's eyes grew even larger when he mentioned Blue and Green stars. She loved seeing anything new it was a natural curiosity she had always held. She took another step back from the telescope as if to give Charlie more room to adjust it, what ever you had to do to adjust it she didn't know. Clasping her hands behind her back she smiled delicately before asking speaking with a excited tone hidden in her soft voice "That sounds ever so interesting could you perhaps find a coloured star? I've never seen such a thing! You must be good at Stargazing i could never figure those out..." she gestured at the telescope with her hand before blushing a little at admitting she couldn't figure out how to work a Telescope.
Charlie Silverwind - August 8, 2007 10:05 PM (GMT)
Grinning, Charlie looked through the telescope and adjusted it. He scanned the sky for a few moments, making adjustments here and there. He finally found what he was looking for and he stepped back so Fawne and take a look. It felt good, knowing that some one finds you interesting since you know something that they don't. He never knew stargazing would get him new friends, but it seems like he should do it more often from now on.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 10:17 PM (GMT)
Fawne quickly took the few steps needed to be back in front of the telescope once Charlie moved aside. She was smiling dreamily as she adopted the same pose as before and glanced at the coloured stars, still avoiding touching the telescope. She stepped back once more and twirled around once on the spot throwing the light from her wand in all directions. She giggled delicately before smiling once more her grey eyes reflecting the magical light. "That is delightfully brilliant! Thank you very much Charlie I've never seen anything so dazzling. Perhaps sometime i could show you what little mysteries i have found in the castle?" She blinked twice before speaking once again. "I have decided that neither star gazing or castle mysteries are more exciting than the other. One is close to home and the other is so far away but both are wonderful."
Charlie Silverwind - August 8, 2007 10:21 PM (GMT)
OOC: I was always fond of Luna Lovegood.
A bit taken back by her little twirl his suspicions were confirmed, she was a bit odd. Luckily this calmed Charlie down a bit, now he didn't have to worry about not acting like a complete idiot around new people, after all she did seem nice. "Yea, it is quite wonderful isn't it?" He said, watching her- he kind of wondered if she spent every night wandering the castle, "I guess you could," he said, shrugging. He felt so much like smiling.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 10:38 PM (GMT)
OOC: i write Luna alot in fanfiction so she was my major inspiration for Fawne with a few other qualities chucked in and a few taken away. (I used to play an almost Hermonie like Ravenclaw but i didn't like her a great deal.)
IC: She clutched her hands behind her back again and nodded her head in agreement; It was wonderful. She smiled brightly at his shrug; she had a few friends, even with her quirks, but she loved showing new people things she had found. Sure people had probably found them first but it made her feel happy when she explored. Her eyes seemed to study Charlie as she spoke "It is very wonderful i haven't seen anything like it before. Are you up here often? I could find you on one of my wanders if you are. I do fear if i took you to some of them tonight my mind would be on the stars..."
Charlie Silverwind - August 8, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
Charlie raised an eyebrow, this girl was amazing. "We'll I'll be up here tonight, we can meet around midnight," He said, shrugging again. He couldn't hold in the smile any longer and it creped to his lips, he was quite glad he finally got to meet Fawne since seeing her all the time in class. "I should probably head back now," He said, taking out his wand and glancing toward the stairway.
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 8, 2007 11:34 PM (GMT)
She smiled softly as she nodded her head in agreement. Fawne was one of those people who communicated with body language, or rather movements of her head. She removed her own wand from her skirt's belt and into her right hand before running up to Charlie and giving him a light hug in goodbye and then a small wave "That would be delightful. Farewell till midnight Charlie!" and with that said she headed towards the door and began to almost skip down the stairs.
OOC: Would you like to continue this RP now? And if so would you like to start a new topic or shall i?
Charlie Silverwind - August 10, 2007 11:48 AM (GMT)
OOC: Busy time right now, I'll PM you when I want to start up again k?
Fawne Sugarmoon - August 14, 2007 02:52 PM (GMT)
OOC: Sure that's fine =) Sorry i didn't reply sooner myself I've just started my new summer job.
