Adeyla was sitting with her feet in the water and her face in her hands. Delilah was missing...Cecelia was sent far away for her own protection...Adeyla was alone. She knew she wasn't too fond of her family but there was nobody left for her now. If only she at at least one person who seemed to care about her, but unfortunately she didn't. She lifted a rock and skipped it across the water.

Paige had been down by the lake, enjoying the last bit of warm weather before it was fall. She sat by a dock, staring into the water. She heard a noise, and looked up to see Delilah and Cecelia's relative Adeyla. They had been introduced, they were acquaintances.
She went and sat by her. the girl had her face in her hands. Paige put a hand on her back.
