rogue had been sitting in the boars head swirrling around a glass of whiskey. she wanted to go and tell kiley that she had met a vampire and wanted him to join. she thought of her sttraction to james.......she wondered what had happened to him. he hadn't been around in a while. then she thought of dorien and how powerful her attraction for him was. thinking about this and other things she finally landed on one thought. maybe she could post a sign for anyone detesting "the family". if they did they could come to her. if anyone tried to get any information out of her they would really get nothing. taking a drink she leaned back. shaking her head
"that won't work."
she said muttering. 'The Family' would most likely want to get rid of anyone who does hate them and probably put a trail on her. curling her hand into a fist she wanted to scream. why couldn't life be....normal? why couldn't life just exist?

Jake's had gotten tired of aimless wandering through Diagon Alley and decided to go into the first place he came to, which was the boars head. Jake was so busy thinking about the resistance and the family that he wasn't paying much attention to where he was going. He somehow managed not to see the girl sitting directly in front of him and ran strraight into her. "Oh...sorry." he said, waking up from his daze.

rogue had been to busy thinking and therefore did not see the boy coming towards her. he ended up running into her and knocking her drink all over her clothes. accidentaly sniffing some of the drink her eyes watered and she choked as she caught her breath.
"it's ok"
she said in a weak and shaky voice.
"sheesh that burns...."
she said whiping the tears from her eyes. rogue looked up to see a guy she had never seen before.

"Sorry." he said again. "I didn't even see you there." he explained, not sounding very sorry at all, even though he was.He remained standing beside her chair as he waited for her reply.

"it's alright really"
she said looking at him. she stiudied him for a bir and then pointed to an mpty chair.
"the rooms a bit crowded if you want you can have a seat."
she didn't know why she was telling him that. she usually kept to herself. on top of it all she didn't know if he was waiting for someone.
"i mean only if you want too."

"Okay, thanks." he said with a slight smile. He sat in the chair and looked back at her. "I'm Jacob." He said, "Or Jake...either one works." He wasn't sure why he had sat down, he didn't even really want to be there.

rogue didn't make the connection with the name. she gave him a smile back.
she had wanted to keep her profile low but no one had really seen her. besides no one except for a few people knew she
was here.
"rogue."
she said in reply to him introducing himself.she looked around the room and then looked back at him.
"are you waiting for someone?"

Her name sounded familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had heard it before. "No, I was just bored and didn't have anywhere else to go." he replied. He usually kept to himself and didn't hang around in crowded, noisy places.

rogue nodded in agreement.
"i know how that feels."
leaning her elbows on the table and leaning forward she looked at him closely.
"do you go to hogwarts?"
she asked. now was the time she could enlist more people for the resistance.

"Yeah..." He answered, wondering why she was looking at im so closely. "Do you?" She looked to be a little older than him, so she would have probably already left Hogwarts, but he couldn't tell for sure.

rogue looked away.
"no well not anymore...."
she leaned back in her chair and tried to look and sound casual.
"so what do you think of 'The Family'?"
she asked him. she had to spread the word and quick before anything happenes against the resistance.

Ic: "Am I on trial or something?" He asked, but he answered anyway. "I hate the family. What they're doing is wrong...You aren't a member of the family are you?" He had thought about that too late. He should have asked that before he said anything negative against the family, if she was a member he was probably a new target for them.

rogue heaved a quiet sigh of relief and then thought the same thing as him.
"you know saying negative things like that out loud and in public could get you hurt right?"
she said it in a matter of fact tone. shaking her head in a quick shake.
"no i'm not for them."
looking around the pub she stood up and looked down at him. nodding her head towards the door.
"c'mon i'm sure we can find a better spot to hang out in."
she hoped he would come with her. she wanted to see how much this guy really was against the family. maybe even join th group.

"I've spoken my opinion a little too loudly more than once. I've been lucky enough not to run into any family members though," he said more quietly.
He stood up and nodded his head in agreement, "Anywhere's better than here." he said

leading the way outside and down the street to an empty spot in front of an old losed down store. looking around she waved him inside.when they were sfely inside she sat down on a dusty chair.
"i've had my share of those moments too now how much do you hate them?"

Jake looked at her like she was crazy. He didn't sit down...He was beginning to wonder whether she really was a member of te family and had just tricked him into coming here with her. "A lot..." he finally answered after being silent for a moment.

rogue studied him for a minute trying to see if he was telling the truth. finally when she thou8ght she knew she leaned back in her chair.
"alright. look i don't have that much time. what i say to you stays between us. if word gets out as in posted in the news i'll know it was you."
rubbing the back of her neck she stood up and began pacing.
"i'm with a group called the resistance it's not really a group just yet. only a few people know about us. but we plan to try and take down 'The Family'. what they do is wrong and horrid. they need to be stopped."
she paused to see his reaction to what he just told her.

Finally he realized where he had heard Rogue's name before. "I'm already a part of the resistance." he replied, as if they were talking about something as coincidental as the weather.

rogue stopped in mid pace and looked at him. was he talking of another resistance?
"i don't seem to follow you..."
she said feeling the thing she needed to realkize right on the edge of her brain.

"I've already joined. I'm Kiley's boyfriend." Kiley had told him that Rogue was one of her best friends. He knew she would recognize Kiley's name, but he wondered if she knew anything about him. Kiley would have at least mentioned him to Rogue...

realization dawned on rogues face.
"jake!"
she said putting it all together.
"finally!"
she said reaching out and patting him on the back.
"your name sounded familiar but i didn't realize. it's great to finally meet you. i tought i was going to have to wait till our first meeting."

"It's good to meet you too. I guess Kiley's told you about me." he said with a slight smile. She would probably be happy to know that he had met Rogue, and so far they were getting along ok, which was probably a concern for Kiley since he didn't get along very well most people.

rogue nodded her head.
"yeah, she really likes you. you know."
she stated and then sat back down.
"and i bet she's told you every horrid thing about me right? honestly almost all the bad stuff she's said about me isn't true. except for the troll part."
rogue said with a smile. jake seemed liked a good guy. but she wanted to know more about him. make sure kiley wasn't going to be hurt.

Jake couldn't help but smile. He sat down on a nearby stool. "She hasn't said any bad stuff...trolls?" Jake seemed amused, which was something for him, he normally just seemed like he was nearly emotionless around people he didn't know very well.

rogue had a wide smile on her face.
"well not really trolls. more like A troll."
she gave a soft laugh.
"i'd tell you about it but what are you doing out and about? is everything ok?"

"Everything's fine." He replied with a shrug. "I'm putting off going into hiding as long as I can." he said, still not thrilled at the idea, but he had already decided he was going to go along with it. "I'm not very excited about the hiding part." he admitted.

rogue looked down.
"it won't be for lo0ng...at least i hope."
she said with a shrug too.
"just to let you know. kiley's really happy you are on our side. i told her we could have whiped your memories of the important stuff of her and the sent you on your way but she said no."

"She told me about that..." he said with a smile, Kiley obviously hadn't been telling Rogue bad things about him either. "I would rather go into hiding." he told her.

"it's not going to be a piece of cake but i think if we all stick together we can make it through this."
she began thinking of dorien and how she had asked him to join the group. she thought of mentioning it to jake but decided against it. she had to ask kiley first.

"Yeah, that'll be easy. Especially with all the werewolves and vampires in the same room with the...'normal' people." He wasn't looking forward to the vampires, he just didn't like them very much. Especially after meeting Dorien.

rogue decided to let his comment about vampirs and werewolves not being normal.
"has kiley told you where the head quarters is set up?"
all she wanted was a yes or a no.
"just a yes or no...someone might be listing in or something..."
she still felt like she had to be alert.

"Yes." he said simply. He was glad that it would be at Kiley's house, at least it would be a home and not like a prison. It would make it a lot easier on him, and probably on everyone else too.

"ok"
now that they finished conversation about that she felt kind of akward. like she should keep up the conversation. standing up she looked at jake and then laughed.
"i must have looked like some stalk freak out to kill you went i first brought you here with the way you looked at me."

"Just a little." He said a bit sarcastically. "You brought me to some abandoned building and started interrogating me...That's not something that most people would do." he added with a smle.

rogue laughed loudly.
"well something i would do anyways,"
she couldnt help but shrugging her shoulders innocently.
"you never know i could have killed you...'
she said with a teasing smile.

"You just keep believing that." Jake said with an arrogant smirk, as if there was no way that anyone could possibly hurt him. He stood up again, the barstool was a little uncomfortable

rogue laughed. kiley was right jake was a good guy.
"i have a feeling iwe're gonna get along just fine jake..."
she looked at her watch and jumped up.
"shoot! i'm late meeting kiley....."
looking at jake.
"do you wanna come along?....kiley will probably be happy to see we have met. and she'll enjoy seeing you too."

"If you think she'd be all right with it..." He wanted to go, but he didn't kif she and Rogue really wanted him there. She could have just asked him to be polite, he didn't want to go if he wasn't really wanted.

"of ourse she would!"
rogue exclaimed.
"why wouldn't she be? i think it's been forever since she had a visit of two people or more......unless you tqo had a row? did you?"
she asked. she didn't think she was being rude. she just thought that if him and kiley had a fight, maybe he wouldn'r want to join.
"if you two got into a fight or argument and you don't wanna come....i'll understand."

"No, that's not it. I just thought she might have wanted to talk to you alone." he explained calmly. They hadn't had any real fights yet, a couple of small arguments, but nothing big.
