Darkness surrounded her in the dungeon corridor, pressing all around her and wrapping her in it's enthralling beauty. Beauty in her mind maybe, her mind of darkness and horror full of hate and terrible anger fit in it. Nothing made her happy anymore. Not the orange sash draped across her shoulder, not the scars across her back. No one persons presense made her day brighter. It was always dark and dismal, a gray life. Her life.
She no longer saw her parents (or who she believed to be her parents, for though the person she called 'mum' was indeed her mother than man she called 'dad' had no part to play in her genes.) Arguments had led to seperation and so to little to no contact passing between them. She no longer felt hate or pride, loyalty or service to them anymore. They had nothing to do with her.
Grey eyes still stared from her pale face coldly but now with a kind of uncaring glaze across them and long black hair still draped around her thin and rather gaunt features. There was but one person she ever cared to see and he she saw so irregularly that though her mind often wandered to him and her hidden love had not died she was less inclined to speak of him than of her former self.
"One child of the dark remains, her blood wrapped in it's beauty. Not a person out of place, not a person neglecting duties. She is the one who finds herself smileless- no objective to obtain. Just cold glares and tainted love, the remains of a great empire." the words had often sprouted into her mind, but they had never been said. She knew who they referred to- herself- but not why so often she though of them.
"Their is a room inside this castle that few can locate- a room of terror and of fear, a room where they shine through. Has your heart a greatest fear? Then enter that room, behold it." Room 101, Harshing's room. She had used it once, on Tyrin and the use of it still called to her, though she turned away from such thoughts, shaking her head. She shouldn't use that room- the days of the Harshing reign was over.
Would any hear her words and would they think her mad?
