rogue sat in the main room. she hadn't seen kiley nor the b*****d harshing since she ame back. she tried her best to avoid them. she still felt hurt and a bit betrayed but she thought it best to make amends with her friend. g;lancing at the fire she took a ip of whiskey. she had maintained a fondness for the drink and now had some whenever she ould. so she sat and waited for kiley.

*Kiley was running around, trying to make room for more people to stay. She hadn't seen much of Rogue lately. Kiley knew Rogu had been avoiding her, but she really wished they would make up because she missed her friend and despertly needed her help. Kiley was on her way to the shed through the back door when she saw Rogue, sitting on the couch. She stopped, almost afraid that rogue would leave if she said anything.* "Hey...." *She said timidly, trying to get her attention*

rogue looked up from the fire. she saw kiley was busy and started to back out of apologizing but then changed her mind.
"hey..."
she said standing up and walking over to kiley. she fiddled around with her ripped t-shirt.
"you look pretty busy."
rogue said ducking her head. this was going to be hard. she still felt hurt.

"Yeah.....it's been busy around here lately..." *she was looked down too.* "It doesn't help that most of teh poeple that need a place to sleep are men so they don't help with anything..." *She smiled weakly, lookewd up for a moment, and then looked back down at her feet* "Look.......I'm sorry I didn't ask you about harshing joing the resistance. It's just that we need members and I was afraid if we said no he would turn against us and tell the family stuff we didn'[t want them to know.*

rogue looked up and smiled when kiley made the comment about the men. she then frowned when kiley apologised.
"i know...it's just that.....i thought we were....partners in this you know? and then the next thing i know harshing walks in like he's king of the world."
she muttered and her voice began to raise. taking a deep breath she calmed down and kicked the rug.
"i'm sorry for the way i acted towards you and the others."
she sighed.
"i take that back. i'm sorry for the way i acted to everyone exept harshing."
she muttered.
"i still can't believe he's joining us."
she bit out.

"I know...I can't believe it either..." *She picked at her fingernail while she talked.* "And we are partners in this....I swear....and I told him that....." *She looked up, grinning* "He was trying to order me around, and I yelled at him, and he couldn't do anything because he knew this was my house and we'd kick him out. It was possibly the best three minutes of my life...." *She faultered for a second and then continued* "And don't worry about the way you acted....really. It's understandable. I'm sorry I didn't talk to you about it before I let him join..."

rogue couldn't stay mad at her friend for very long no matter what happened. she gave kiley a big hug.
"i hate fighting ki...."
she said with tears in her eyes.
"i don't care if he join...well i do but i'll cope with it....i'll even try being civil. but i swear to merlin. he tries anything and i'll kill him."
she said it and ment it with all her heart.

*Kiley hugged her back for a moment. She was smiling whens he pulled back out of the hug.* "I know this sounds completely insane, but I really think that us having him on our side will be a good thing. He said he would help teach everyone more defensive magic....."

rogue sighed defeated.
"alright i'll put up with his disgusting arse. and i'll go to his stupid defence magi whatever it is...."
she placed her hand on kileys shoulder.
"i still think he is up to no good. he has something up his sleeve."
rogue insisted.

"I know...and when he slits my throat in my sleep, I give you permission to kick my dead corpse at my funeral and say I told you so." *She half smiled, hoping to lighten the mood*

rogue laughed.
"yeah like i would even want to.....get my shoes dirty!"
she said with a smile.
"what? these are brand new chucks ki!"

*Kiley laughed "Oh, I'm glad I mean so mch to you...well..." *She looked down at Rogue's shoes and paused for a moment. She looked back up at Rogue and laughed* "Those are really nice shoes so....I understand."

rogue smiled and put her arm around kileys shoulders.
"whens this first meeting for the whole defene magic stuff?"
she asked on a more serious note. she didn't want to but she would only to make sure harshing did nothing to hrrible to kiley.

"Ummm.....well....I don't know....you can ask him.....tonight." *He paused for a minute and looked away back down at the ground, waiting for a second explosion* "At...dinner....he's eating with us...."

rogue stopped smiling.
"you mean i have to eat with the stupid git too?"
she asked.
"nevermind i'll deal with it if i have to."
she looked down and put on a mock exasperated sigh.
"do i have too?"
she asked whining.

"Yes....you have to....Because then you can boss me around and make demands and stuff for the next 24 housr and I have to o it...no matter what..." *He paused to let it sink in* "Believe me, I'd rather gouge out my own eyes with a rusty spoon than eat dinner tonight but we have to try to get along...."

rogue looked at kiley.
"alright alright....but if he brings anything nasty to the table or does anything nasty....i'll puke all over him and i'll get to boss you around for two whole days..."

"And I'll buy you a new pair of shoes......deal?" *She stuck out a hand for a handshake. to make it offical* "And then....if all goes well....then you have to clean my room...because it's a mess...."

rogue looked at her.
"kiley i've seen how messy you can be...i don't think i'm getting a good deal but....."
she reached out and shook kileys hand.
"deal!"

*Kiley grinned* "Yay....wonderful....." *Kiley sighed and looked around the room with distain.* "Untill then can you help me...because I need you...I'm hurting doing this all along..." *She smiled weakly, looking at rogue hopefully*

rogue smiled and gave a small laugh.
"what do you need help with?"
she was up for anything that would keep her busy and away from harshing.

"Well, apparently, everyone that wants to join the resistance is homeless and wants to move in here.....so we need to find every possible place that someone can sleep..."

"and that would be?"
she asked looking like a duck. she had been here but never explored the place.
"how many rooms is there?"

"Five bedrooms. Plus we have the old shed we could use, the living room, the dining room, ummm.....I don't know....but I think you're gonna have to share my room with me to make room for other people if that's alright with you."

rogue looked at her with a smile.
"alright...thats not a problem and when i get bothering you to much. you can sleep on the front lawn. because i called the bed!"
rogue giggled out loud. she knew that if they got on each others nerves rogue would be the one out on the front lawn.

*Kiley laughed* "It's my room. And I have a queen bed so we can share and you can deal or sleep on the floor without a blanket." *She grinned, obviously joking.* "This is gonna be fun. It'll belike a big long sleepover that never ends." *She said omniously, still grinning*

rogue laughed.
"a big paajama party of sorts. just don't steel the covers ok?"
she said with a grin.
"and i don't do mornings...."
she didn't she was very grumpy in the mornings and sometimes took on the IQ of a mountain troll.

"Well, I do...but I'll try not to wake you up. No promises though. I tend to get bored...I mean, I'll try to find someone else to bother around here but I think you'd be the most interesting to bother." *Kiley tried to stiffle a giggle.*

rogue grinned at kiley.
"thats ok i8'll just get up and fart on you."
she giggled.
"and there smelly ones too."

*Kiley laughed.* "That's really sweet Rogue. And mature. Very mature. Too bad we don't all know how to fart on cue. We could use it as a leathal weapon against the family."

"hey i'm excellent at things like that"
she giggled.
"you know i would never fart on you."
she began helping kiley with odd things. she hated to broache the subject but knew she would have to sometime.
"i...i haven't seen harshing around...."

"Yeah, the last time I saw him was last night...." *She said, running a hand through her hair* "Last night he was starting with the darker magic teaching stuff....and I went last night, and we learned crucio, and I finally got it and it worked but I haven't seen him since." *Kiley had said that all in one breath. She pretended to be out of breath as she grinned at her own stupidity*
