rogue sat on her bed. the room was dark and kiley was already asleep when rogue had entered. she sat on her bed pulling her knees up and wrapping her arms around them. she cried softly at first. then as the feelings flowed she sobbed louder. loud enough to wake kiley up from her sleep. she whiped stubbornly at her eyes. she hated to cry. her life was turning out just like before. terrible. she had never had much luck with guys. james had never asked her out to make it official and dorien...well dorien wes engaged and had a girl pregnant. feeling horrible and upset she punched her pillow and then burried her head in the joining of her arms and legs.

*Kiley woke up, groaning and rubbing her eyes* "Rogue?" *She asked, still grogry (sp) from just waking up* "Rogue? You okay?" *She asked, sitting up and clicking on the light next to their bed. She noticed that Rogue was crying, and although it took her a moment to process that and figure out what to do about it, finally, she reached out and put her ahnd on Rogue's shoulder* "What's wrong? What happened?"

rogue just continued to sob into her arms. she couldn't lift her head. she didn't want kiley to see how much she had truely liked dorien. she kept her head down and cried som more.
"i'm stupid kiley."
she said sounding muffled.
"i can't believe how stupid i was."

*Kiley was completely lost. She wished that Rogue would explain what the hell was going on to her.* "You're not stupid Rogue.....tell me what happened....calm down.....take deep breaths....It's gonna be okay......just...yuo have to tell me what happened so I can help...."

rogue raised her head and whiped at the tears there. taking a few deep breaths. she looked miserable.
"dorien"
that was all she could say or even get out then she promptly broke into tears again.

*Kiley's muscles tenced slightly when Rogue said his name.* "What did he do to you?" *She demanded. Kiley shoook rogue's shoulder* "Rogue. What did he do to you?"

rogue shook her head. pulling out a hanky and blowing her nose.
"nothing....it's what i did to myself ki."
she lowered her eyes.
"i fell for him and he has a fiance and a baby coming."

"Yeah...I saw Cecelia coming in yesterday....." *Sh said absently* "But I didn't think that she could possibly be wih her...." *Kiley looked back to rogue "I'm so sorry......are ou sure she's not just saying that to keep you away?"

rogue shook her head while the tears welled up again.
"i don't know ki."
she said with a sniff.
"they seemed like a couple to me and from what i saw doriens the father. he's all to proud to be one too."
she looked down at the ground.
"james came back, but he's up and disappeared on me again."

*Kiley looked at her friend sadly* "Rogue...." *Kiley paused, trying to think of the right words to say* "Maybe you just need to take a break for a while. From guys, I mean."

rogue nodded.
"i know. i wasn't even looking for a serius relation...i wasn't even looking for one at all but then those to come walking into my life."
she rubbed her stomsch.
"i don't feel to good."
laying her head on kileys shoulder she closed her eyes.
"ki your are an awsome friend what would i do without you."

*Kiley held her friend in a hug, letting her cry on her shoulder.* 'I know you wern't. If I were you, if either of them try to ask you out I'd tell them now. just for now at least......I can kick dorien out if you want me to..." *She offered*

rogue shook her head. she just wanted to sit like that for a while.
"no besides he's part of the resistance ki."
she closed her eyes again and let the tears fall.

"What part of mortal enemies is so hard for everyone to understand?" *She muttered under her breath* "Tell me what happened." *She pulled back and reached over to flick on the small lamp on the bed side table so they could see eachother propperly.*

rogue leaned back against the headboard of the bed.
"dorien and i kissed. the night james came back. after james and i had left our seperate ways. i saw dorien and he kissed me."
she blushed a little at this.
"then today i find out he has a girlfriend and she's preggers with his baby."
she threw her hands up.
"i was a complete love sick pup around him!"
thumping her head against the wall.
"and now james has gone missing again. so i don't know if i should feel guilty. he's never even asked me out ki."
she closed her eyes.
"i'm so confused....."

"It's okay Rogue...it's not just you. Vampires do that...they're like, the ultimate predator.....everything about them will draw you in. Their looks, their eyes, their smell, their personality....well, if a corpse can have a personality." *She muttered*

rogue turned and looked at kiley for a moment.
"you don't like him at all do you ki?"
she noticed the hate between them growing.

*Kiley loked at her like she was insane.* "No, I really don't. Why do werewolves exist? To kill vampires. Why do vampires exist? To kill werewolves. Well.....actually....I don't tihnk you can kill a vampire per say...anyway...." *Kiley sighed* "We exist to kill eachother..and here we are in the same house together."

rogue shook her head.
"but you to don't seem to understand. you are bother here for a greater good. to show everyone that wherewolves and vampires can coexist. we need to do this so people will get the idea that we are right. beings of different races and speciees and bloods can live together and still have normal lives. i know we aren;t going to make a difference in everyone but if we can change just one persons way of thinking ki that makes a big deal and befoe you know it more and more people will change the way they think."
rogue poured all her emotions into what she was feeling.
"i know dorien and i can't be together. he has cecelia and the baby. even if he didn't have her and we did have a chance we would probably kill each other."
rogue hugged her knees. she was feeling a bit better but not much.
"talking about this has cleared some things up for me...."
she trailed off looking at her friend then smiled and hugged her fiercly.
"thanks alot ki you know for putting up with me...."

*Kiley had to fight to keep back a slew of comments about how Dorien would be a little ahead of the game in trying to kill eachother* "I'm not putting up with you...you're my best friend, Rogue. I'm glad that you trust me enough to talk to me about this. Even if I am a little...biased."

rogue looked at her friend with a smile.
"just a little biased?"
she asked knowing if kiley could she'd rip doriens arms off and eat them for breakfast.

*Kiley grinned* "Well.....maybe more than a little..." *She said, trying to look innocent.* "It's not like I can help it.....he's hard and cold and smelly and a leach..." *She paused and looked at Rogue* "And you can't act like he hasn't called me any names." *She added*

rogue looked at kiley seriously.
"not in front of me he hasn't....."
she said softly.
"you're possibly my bestfriend i would never let someone talk bad about you to me or around me kiley."

"I know you wouldn't, but I just find it hard to believe that he's taking this all in stride. I'd think it would be harder for him." *Kiley layed back down and turned her head towards Rogue* "The full moon's coming up, you know. What are we going to do about that?"

rogue laid down next to kiley and faced her. her eyes were wide as kiley mentioned the up coming full moon.
"have you got the wolfbane potion?"
she asked hopefull.
"if not we could always ;ock you up..."
she said trying to think of another way to help her friend. something a bit less cruel.

"I'm not talking about me." *She said, as if it were painfully obvious.* Of course I have wolfsbane potion. I'm talking about Dorien." *Kiley waited a moment for Rogue's dawn of apprehension. When it didn't come, she explained further ((sorry, godded))* "If Dorrien wants to rip my throat out when I'm like I am now, don't you think it will intensify when I'm actually a werewolf?"

rogues eyes grew wide when kiley had explained the situation. she knew kiley was right but she couldn't help hoping for her dorien would do no such thing as trying to attack her.
"well we'll have to find some place for you to becomfortable and not close to him.........maybe an attic or something."

"Rogue!" *She said, exasperated and shocked* "This is my house! Why should I have to go up and hide in my attic?!?!" *Se glared at Rogue* "Are you really taking his side? Really?"

rogue knew that would rile kileys feathers so to speak. she tucked her hands behind her back wondering how long she could keep this going.
"gee i don't know ki he is a total babe..."
she said with a grin. rogue knew what kiley was thinking and she couldn't help herself. she would never do such a thing like that. she would almost always choose her friend over anything.

*Kiley's jaw dropped and she starred at Rogue.* "Rogue.....he's a walking corpse. And he reaks. My house will forever smell of a leach. Okay? So I don't wanna hear it." *She crossed her arms across her chest and just glared at Rogue. She knew she looked like a five year old that didn't get her way, but she didn't care.*

rogue laughed and walked over to kiley. placing an arm around her shoulder she gave her friend a squeeze.
"ki i would never do that to you. but i will be with you for the transformation....if you want me too.."
she said not letting the hope seep into her voice. she'd never seen kiley in wolve form and hoped she could one day.

"Yeah sure whatever." *she grumbled, secretly glad that Rogue would be there* "This is gonna be the worlds crappiest birthday ever. Mel's not here. It's been one year since I met weston, and I have to turn into a werewolf. Plus, I'm not expecting any presents, since it's not like any of us can get out and shop or anything. But I'll be 17....which is pretty wicked. But it's not like I get any special privilages anyway, since I've been breaking all the underage wizard laws anyway....and I don't know who can teach me to apparate anyway....except you..." *The idea dawned on her and she looked over at Rogue hopefully.* "Will you try to teach me to apparate?"

rogue hid a secret smile about kiley's comment on presents. hugging her friend a bit tighter she nodded.
"you'll learn in no time. i'll teach you the ins and outs. hopefully you won't splinch yourself."
she said with a grin.
"thats one of the reasons i walk most places. i've never splinched myself but i have seen it happen. but thats almost a nil if you're careful."

*Kiley winced slightly at the thought of being splinched. It would be bad enough for it to happen under reguar circumstances, but for it to happen now would be unbearable. Since she was wanted by the law, there would be nobody to come clean her up.* "That's a lovely thought to go to sleep on....." *She made sure she sounded slightly cinical, although she found it sort of funny.*

rogue laughed at the look on kileys face.
"you'll do fine ki."
rogue reasured her. looking at the tops of her shoes rugoe rubbed at a scuff mark.
"so whats been going on in your pert of the house?"

"The same thing that's been going on in your part of the house...just with different people." *Kiley smiled at first, but it faded. She pulled a blanket up tighter around her.* "I had a pretty bad fight with Jake the other night." *She confided, looking down.* "About Milo......he's really jealous, but I didn't even do anything."

rogue stiffened. she didn't even think of talking to kiley about milo and jake yet. this made for a very very serious talk.
"does he have reason to be jealous ki?"
rogue asked softly. from the looks and smiles they were giving each other the one time rogue had seen milo rogue thought so. she didn't know everything but from the looks she would bet any amount of sickles or knuts that kiley had feelings for him.

"All we were doing was talking..." *She murmered. Kiley knew that they were doing more than simply talking. It had been deeper than that. And she knew Rogue knew it too. She dropped her voice even lower than it was just incase.* "It's just that.....Jake hardly talks to me anymore....He never holds my hand or anything like that....and I like attention and reassurance...." *She trailed off, embarassed*

rogue hugged her knees close to her chest.
"it's nothing to be embarassed about ki. all girls like attention."
rogue chewed her lower lip.
"have you tried talking to him about it? do you want to continue seeing jake?"
she asked. she didn't want to push kiley and no matter what was said here she wasn't going to tell anyone.

"I'm suprised you didn't hear us slamming everything aorund. I could hardly talk to him. He wouldn't listen to one word I was saying. And then I walked away and he didn't follow me.....he acts like he cares sometimes, but then any other time he acts completely different..."
