Title: On The Stairs
Description: Open

Cecelia Ferrari - September 22, 2007 08:28 PM (GMT)
Cecelia was sitting on the stairs, continuing to crochet her blanket for Bianca. She sighed and looked around. Her siblings and cousins were gone. She couldn't contact her friends or remaining family. This should have been the happiest time in her life and she really only had Dorien. She loved Dorien more than anything but really, all she wanted was her sister. She sighed and crocheted faster. She wanted people. A lot of people.

OOC: I'm too lazy to switch accounts and Ki and I are PMing eachother right now. So yeah, just pretend like I'm logged on as Ian. lol.

IC:

*Ian was feeling extremely discouraged with everything. No one was taking him seriously at all, just because he was the youngest. Sure, he was 12, but little people can big people's a*ses. After all-

'A worm can roll a stone.
A bee can sting a bear.
A fly can fly around Versailles cos' flies don't care
A sparrow in a hat can make a happy home.
A flea can bite the bottom of the pope in Rome

Goliath was a bruiser who was as tall as the sky.
But David threw a rock, and gave him one in the eye.
I never read the Bible but I know that it's true.
It only goes to show what little people can do.'

That's what Gavroche says in Les Miserables. He ends up pretty much saving the entire group of Revolutionaries. Kick. Ass.

He wasn't just going to give up and let it stop him or make him whine and cry (which was probably what they wanted him to do so they could prove he was immature), but he was going to be bitter, because he was sick of it. A lot of people wouldn't even talk to him like they would a normal human being, they'd dumb down they're words and use a sticky sweet tone. It was disgusting, really, and it was beginning to offend him.

He wanted to be alone, but there were people everywhere, so he went to one of the more secluded spots in the house- the stairs. He noticed that only Cecelia was there. He hoped that she would ignore him or at least not treat him like a baby. Well, given the circumstances....

He didn't care. He sat down a few steps below Cecelia and began to think about how ignorant everyone was being.*

While in the middle of a stitch, Chi-Chi dropped her crochet hook. She huffed and tried to stand, but had a hard time, as she was as big as she was. "Honey," she said to the boy, "Could you grab that for me? I can't get up." She bit her lip as she sat herself back against the cold stair.

*Ian looked up at her and noticed that she had dropped the crochet hook. It obviously would be hard for her to get it, so he decided to be the nice guy (as usual) and help her. Plus, it was the most important thing he'd been asked to do lately. He stood up, got the hook for Cecelia and handed it to her, attempting to smile, which generally wasn't hard for him at all, but people were really starting to offend him and just...gah.*

Cecelia smiled. "Thanks dear." She held out some chocolate covered rasins to him. "Something on your mind? You can tell me." She patted the seat next to him and placed her crocheting in her lap. He seemed troubled and for someone so young... She wanted to know what was going on.

Ian Hunter - September 23, 2007 08:02 PM (GMT)
Ian:"No thanks." *he replied when she held out the raisins. He sat down beside her and considered how to put what was going on without sounding like a brat.*"Well, all anyone has been seeing is my age, they haven't thought that I could actually help with anything. Kiley has, but no one else understands it." *he tried to explain*

Cecelia nodded, remembering being one of the youngest at her home when her parents were having big parties, not being allowed to do or say much of anything. "Well I'm sure they're just looking out for your well being...but you are a big boy aren't you? They don't need to protect you... It's not much, but you are always welcome to help me. I need it all the time. I have a hard time doing a lot of things in..." she pointed to her belly, "...my condition."

*Ian cringed a little bit when she said 'big boy'. That's what adults said 8-year-olds, hell, that's what they say on diaper commercials. Not to a 12-year-old. At first he was skeptical at being Cecelia's caretaker type deal, but he was honored to be trusted with helping her none-the-less.*

Ian:"I'll be glad to help you. If you need help after the baby is born, I could help then, too. My sister has a one-year-old, and I help with him a lot."
