Title: Bored
Description: Dorien/Kiley/whoever you want to use

Ian Hunter - September 23, 2007 07:57 PM (GMT)
*For some reason, adults are always under the impression that people under the age of 16 are complete idiots. Why you begin to be taken seriously at 16, no one knows. It doesn't make any sense, seeing as a lot of people don't have any sense at all, and those people could easily be 16 and over.

This was Ian's predicament. He was the youngest person in The Resistanceand no one would listen to him or take him seriously at all. They thought that he was confused and only saw what was going on as a game. Some people even told him to 'go play with his toy broomsticks'. That was what got him upset. He was NOT a little kid. He was upset that they didn't see what use he could be to The Resistance like Kiley did.

Since no one would actually have a normal conversation with him, he was bored out of his mind. He considered going out on the swing in Kiley's back yard so it would at least make him feel like he was doing something, but then he realized that that would convince everyone that he was a kid.

He had settled with sitting in the living room and reading one of the books he had brought with him...after he stole it from the library. Stealing a book made him feel dirty, but it had useful information in it. It was all about dueling and using magic to create distractions and everything. Tips and techniques, cool spells, how to do non-verbal curses (which would really only help him since everyone else had learned that already), what to use to pull off certain things; It would really help to know those kind of things in a sticky situation.*

OOC: Sorry for rambling about nothing. lol.

Dorien Hurt - September 24, 2007 11:59 AM (GMT)
*Dorien was crossing through the house. He really hated being inside because of how it smelled to him, but he didn't want to draw suspicion to himself by never coming inside. Dorien took a step inside into the living room, pinching the bridge of his nose. He intended to go right into the back yard, when he saw a kid that looked a little familiar to him. Dorien paused and silently leaned up against the wall. He smiled slightly* "I think everyone else went into town." *He said quietly. Dorien had always enjoyed passing by some one and then speaking out of nowhere to watch them jump. Sort of mean, he knew that, but he had to get his fun where he could.*

Melanie Hunter - September 24, 2007 08:35 PM (GMT)
*Ian jumped and yelled since he really hadn't expected someone to be there to talk to him.*
Ian:"Holy-!"*he exclaimed before turning around looking scared s*itless. He saw it was Dorien and then he registered what he had said- everyone had gone out.*"What? Why didn't they tell me?"

Dorien Hurt - September 24, 2007 09:10 PM (GMT)
*Dorien cocked his hea to one side a little and shrugged* "Myabe they wanted you to watch the house." *He shrugged again* "They didn't ask me to go either but...." *He smiled a little* "Kiley doesn't like me all that much. Can't imagine why." *He chuckled a little at his own sarcasm.*

Melanie Hunter - September 24, 2007 10:02 PM (GMT)
*Ian missed the joke*
Ian:"I doubt it. They won't even listen to me when I give them ideas or offer to help, why would they want me to watch the house? No, they just didn't want a kid around."

Dorien Hurt - September 26, 2007 12:24 PM (GMT)
"Is it so different here than it would be in any place?" *Dorien crossed the room and sank into a chair farthest away from Ian. His eyes were a dark menacing color today because he hadn't fed ecently* "Don't adults normally just...brush kids off and continue on their way?" *Dorien's voice was soft and alluring, subconsiously drawing Ian in.*

Melanie Hunter - September 26, 2007 07:58 PM (GMT)
Ian:"Well, yeah." *he mumbled, not exactly sure why he was giving in so easily.*"It doesn't seem as bad when there's other kids around, though...because you're not alone."*Ian explained*"The most useful thing I've done is reminded how stupid the people in my family apparently are."

Dorien Hurt - September 27, 2007 01:21 AM (GMT)
"You're melanie hunter's little brother, arn't you?" *He asked, wondering what was so wrong with his family at the moment* "I met her once...she mentioned you. Why isn't she here?" *Dorien knew very wellthat mel was in the family. He had heard it due to his sensitive hearing, but it went better with his charade if he acted like he didn't know*

Melanie Hunter - September 27, 2007 01:25 AM (GMT)
Ian:"Yeah," *he started, for once hating being known as 'Mel's little brother'.*"She's with The Family. Apparently, personal gain is more important to her than family and friendship." *he was touchy about the subject. He was still mad at Mel, and was blown away that she would do something like that. It was almost degrading....*

Dorien Hurt - September 27, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
"That's suprising...I didn't think that she would be the kind of person to turn her back on her family. She didn't like me because she was under the impression that I was going to hurt her son." *He smiled a little. Dorien was extreamly relaxed, coming off like a harmless guy.* "I'm sorry, though. That must be very hard for you."

Melanie Hunter - September 29, 2007 10:14 PM (GMT)
*'I didn't think that she would be the kind of person to turn her back on her family.' That basically had the same effect as stabbing him with a butchers knife. Melanie wasn't the kind of person to do that, but she did...it just proved what sick sort of power Sentinus had.*
Ian:"Me either." *he replied, ignoring that part about how hard it must be for him.*"My brother is never going to forgive me. He asked me not to do this, but I did, and now he's on his own."
