rogue sat under a tree. the weather had taken a turn for the cold and the trees began to change color with the coming season of fall. rogue sat with her tattered faded sketch book. pencil in hand doodling. her pencil stilled and she turned the page. looking at the most recent picture one of the werewolve she had help kill in paris. rogue shook her head softly and began looking through the pages. crawings of squall and his ex girlfiend. the one she had given to them for a gift. drawings of the school and of her friends. animals and babies. rogue just sat there feeling unemotional and just being there. flipping back to an empty page she then closed her eyes and waited for something to come too mind for her to draw.

"You still have that?' A voice came from behind her. James leaned on a large Oak tree roughly, his eyes moving from her booklet to her face. James knew they had to talk, he had to take any opportunities he had to be alone with her while he still can- it's hard for him too to tell when he might just disappear again. His time is short, so he needed to straightened everything out as quickly as he can before anything unexpected happened.

"I need to talk to you about Dorien,"

rogues eyes opened and she looked over at james. she felt the same fluttering everytime she saw him. she turned around and faced him continuing to sit where she was. she knew from the looks this was going to be an important conversation. she nodded her head .
"alright lets talk..."
she said quietly. hopeing he would sit next to her she patted the ground.

He moved over to her and sat down on the soft ground. Turning to look at her, he can still run through the times they spend just sitting around in his head. "What we need to figure out.." He said, trying hard to find the words swimming around in his head, "Is what exactly you want,"

turning to him also she tried to grab his hands.she needed to know he was really there. biting her bottom lip she looked into his eyes.
"i don't know what that is anymore..."
she said softly. she wanted to break down and cry. to grab him and cling to him and just sob. better yet it would have wonderful if he just held her for a while. of course she still had strong feelings for james. she liked him. then there was dorien she liked him alor bu she didn't know if it was really him or his vampire power.
"i like you james alot."
she said boldly. she had never voiced her like for him but now she was.
"i hope you know that."

He looked down at her hands, he felt like crying himself at that very moment. To see someone like Rogue just so upset, it's unnerving. He squeezed her hands gently, "I know you do, and I like you a lot too," He replied quietly. Why didn't she say Love, is that a clue? Maybe he had been gone too long..

rogue knew that she couldn't be with dorien and right now she didn't care. scooting closer to james she squeezed his hands back. she hadn't ment to hurt him. she was happy that he said he liked her. she looked down at their intertwined fingers.
"i would like for us to try things out..."
she said hoping he caught her meaning of them being together and trying to work things out.

"I agree.." He said, though in his mind he really didn't know what she was saying. Did she mean that he'll finally get under those jeans of hers? Well it didn't matter, he wanted to be with her too. "Listen.. If you ever have any.." He paused for a second, "Problems, I'm always here," His eyes dwindled on her hair for a second, oh how he missed the way she smelled(Btw, like pooh[LOL KIDDING]).

He moved his hands away from her's and wrapped them around her shoulders, pulling her tight. He had missed everything about her, not just her smell. The warmth he gets when he hugs her, the sensation he gets everytime he kisses her. He never wanted to leave that all behind, but.. He knew what he was getting into when he chose this occupation during those dark times.

rogue nodded her head and went willingly into his embrace. wraping her arms around his waist and burrying her head in the crook of his neck she softly kissed him.
"and that goes for me too james."
she brought her hand up and caressed his cheek.
"i guess i'm just scared because i don't want you to leave me.......i hate loosing people."
she idley ran her finger up and down his side unknowingly.
"this feels nice."

"I know," He said, his spine tingling at the feeling of her fingers. "You'll never lose me," He replied, his focus locked on a tall tree in the distance, her hair visible in the corner of his gaze. He forced his mind to remember this moment, to remember the feeling in case he'll never get another moment like this. His eyes slowly turned away from the shadowing tree to the soft ground.

"I love you," He whispered quietly.

if rogue hadn't have been waiting for him to say something she wouldn't have heard him but she did and she was shocked. her finger stilled and her light fethery kisses stopped midway between his jaw and his shoulder. sucking in a quick breath her brain blanked out. her mind came quickly back replaying the scene that just played out. her hand relaxed and rested on his hip and her face burrie itself even deeper than it could have gone. she began to think. she didn't know if she was ready to say she loved him. could she really do it and not get hurt. closing her eyes to hold back the tears that tried to slip down her cheeks. finally when she couldn't hold them any longer they slipped silently down and began to soak his shirt.
"oh james."
she said horsely.

He could swear he was about to break down at that very moment. To just let go and cry, but he didn't. All he did was held her close, he would wait and he would do what he could to make her know he really loves her. He did not think, he just said it. James had ran it over in his mind over and over again about how he would show her how much she means to him, but he never ever once thought of just bluntly saying 'I love you,'.

Now all he can do is hope that she loves him back.

her tears dried and she nuzzled his neck affectionately.
is he just trying to get me in bed? am i ready for a commitment?
rogue thought to herself taking a bit more to think this over she raised up and looked him in the eyes. she was willing to take this leap. hopefully everything would work out. dorien had cecelia and couldn't be a threat to her now. she atill had feelings for him but they would go away with time.
"i love you too."
she said quietly and brought her lips to his softly in a sweet kiss.

OOC: Oh snap.. We'll let's just end this topic here.. Like a book with a happy ending but the reader knows their is more so they're going to go to the book store right away so they can buy the second book. On their way there they pray and pray that the author made a second book because they want to read more about James and Rogue but they're so distracted praying that they run into a tree and die. And by saying that this topic ends on a sad note.
