*Kiley was sitting out in her barn that was right on the edge of the property. It was a full moon tonight, her 17th birthday. Rogue was supposed to meet her out here later so that she wouldn't have to be alone. Kiley thought that Rogue was also convinced that if Dorien did attack her, that she would be of some assistance. However, Kiley knew she wouldn't. She didn't want to ruin her mood by telling her this, so she just waited patiently. She had a place for Rogue to sleep with blankets and such, and a pile of hay with a blanket over it for herself. She sighed and glanced out the window. Still sunset. She had taken the potion moments ago like she was supposed to. In the silence as she pulled apart a blade of straw with her fingers, she thought of her problems with Jake and Milo. She thought about how exactly one year ago she had been coming off of a bad relationship with squall because of damien and weston had kissed her, launching her into that relationship which had lasted only months but had changed her forever.*

rogue walked across the fields to the edge of kileys property. she was surprised kiley had said yes to her being around. walking to the door of the barn and tapping lightly. she had that mood about her. that if she made a very loud noise it would ruin everything and then she's wake up back in her bed from a drem.
"ki?"
she asked softly.

"Yeah, I'm in here, come on in." *Kiley stood and took a deep breath. She had jumped slightly at the sound of Rogue's knocking. Kiley wiped her hands off on her jeans. Sweaty palms were a side efect of the wolfsbane...that's how you knew you had about 5 minutes left before you transformed. And she started to feel sick to her stomach as well. She ignored it and smiled at Rogue.* "I wasn't sure if you were going to come." *That was a lie. Kiley knew Rogue wouldn't be able to resist. She felt a thrill of panic like she did every month as she slipped her necklace off and put it up on a shelf so it wouldn't be damaged. Weston had given it to her, and it scared her to take it off. It was a silver locket that had her name, Kiley Rose, engraved into it. When she took it off to keep it safe, that's when it really sunk in and she began to mentally prepare herself for what was going to take place in a few minutes. She glanced over out the window. The sun was down and it was amost twilight. Just a few more minutes.*

rogue wasn't fully prepared for what she was getting herself into. she knew she would tough it out though. she saw kiley slip off the necklace and she knew time was almost here. she took a deep breath and walked further in. she had to stand guard over kiley. in this position she might be vulnerable. if she got hurt during this transformation she would deal with it. her hand slipped down to her wand. she wasn't going to pull it out she just wanted to be alert. it almost always paid off.
"remember kiley i'm here for you...."
even if the werewolve kiley forgot and came after her(which by the way scared her silly thinking of it) she would give it her best.
"just act like i'm not here. do you need anything. do you need to um....take off....."
rogue nodded her head towards kileys clothes. thinking the girl would rip them to shreds.

*Kiley looked down at her own clothes.* "Yeah....these are my favorite jeans....." *Kiley turned around so she was facing away from Rogue and unbuttoned them. She kicked them off to the side and pulled her shirt ofer her head so she was left standing in her underwear. She pulled her hair around and ran her hand through it once on impulse before turnning back around towards Rogue. She saw the wand and felt a pang of worry.* "Rogue.....I took my wolfsbane.....if there was even the slightest chance that you were going to get hurt, then I wouldn't let you be here....." *She didn't say outloud that she wasn't sure how well the wolfsbane wuld work with a vampire in such close proximity. She smelled the air once* "You did bathe really well, didn' you? So you don't smell like Dorien....." *She remembered that sje and Dorien wern't on the best of terms, and felt bad for bringing him up, but she had to ask for Rogue's own saftey.* "I don't smell him on you....that's good....."

rogue shook her head. still having a tight grip on her wand.
"no dorien and i haven't seen each other latley...."
she wanted to be on alert from the looks of it this could possibly turn out ugly if dorien announced himself.
"i just want to make sure you'll be ok ki. i don't know how vulnerable you get but still if someone decides to pop up i'm here to help you."
she said with a nervous smile. her knees were actually knocking. she avoided looking at kileys almost naked form. her eyes on the moon. sweat beaded her upper lip and she licked them to get them moist.
"how long do you have before....the change?"
rogue asked the nervousness entering her voice. even though she was scared and nervous she would stick through this.

"Any minute now...." *Kiley tried to keep her voice calm and regular, but it didn't work* "Listen, if something were to go wrong, don't be the hero, just get out, okay?" *She looked Rogue dead in the eye. It was of the upmost importance that she understood before the.....

Kiley doubled over in pain. The moonlight had finally become prominate and struck Kiley's bare skin. She gritted her teeth so that she wouldn't scream, just groaned in pain. However, eventually, she did scream. She turned into the wolf and the screaming stopped. Much to her releaf, Kiley was in her right mind. She picked herself off of the barn floor and looked at Rogue and wagged her tail to let her know everything was okay. Kiley's fur gleamed in the dim light of the barn. It was a deep reddish brown color that reflected the light. She sat down on the barn floor and looked at ROgue, waiting for her to make the first move so she wouldn't scare her*

rogue watched stunned when the first changes happened. she was on the verge of agreeing when it happened. rogues scream caught in her throat. she stood there frozen. finally after everything had happened rogue saw kiley sitting there tail wagging and all.
"kiley?"
rogue questioned taking a step forward. not sure what to do.

*Kiley barked , her tail still wagging, stirring up the dirt on the floor. Kiley stood and trotted towards Rogue, grinning the way that dog do sometimes. She was overjoyed that everything had worked out right. She circled around Rogue and then jumped up onto the bed and set her head on her paws.*

rogue felt a bit of easing in her chest.
"everythings alright."
she said sounding very relieved. walking over towards kiley she sat down on the bed beside her and leaned against the barn wall. slightly and ever so nervous rogue placed her hand on kileys head. fingers slipping into the fur. it was soft and very thick kind of like a dogs but very different. feeling alot calmer she felt her eyes grow heavy. not wanting to fall asleep she looked down at kiley.
"this is amazing ki."
she said still in awe.

*Kiley looked at Rogue with her best immitation of sceptisim. She was glad Rogue was here to keep watch over her but she thought it must be more than a little strange for her. Nevertheless, Kiley's tail continued to thump against them bed.*

rogue was about to blurt out a bunch of questions when she remembered kiley was a wolve and she probably couldn't talk. rogue thought to offer her some food she snatched from the kitchens but didn't know if she would eat it or not. feeling a bit more comfortable around kiley in wolve form. rogue reached into her pocket and pulled out her tattered sketch book. flipping to an empty page in the almost full book. looking at kiley she asked.
"could...could i sketch you ki?"

*Kiley was taken by suprise. Last time she had stayed with a human while she transformed, which was years ago when she and mel and gone to the room of requirement, mel had ofered to throw her a tennis ball. This was a nice change of pace. She felt honored to be scetched by Rogue, and at the same time, frusterated that she couldn't express her gratitude. Kiley nodded her head one up and down, but the movement was exagurated and clumsy.*

rogue laughed.
"i'll take that as a yes."
she pointed to the shaft of moon light streaming into the barn.
"sit over there it will catch you just right."
she said and ran her hands into kileys hair one more time for comfort and to make sure this was real.

*Kiley stood and stretched before leaping from the bead and landing lightly on the dirt ground. She walked over and sat where she had been directed to sit. The moonlight poured through the window and struck her fur, making it gleam. She looked up and her eyes flashed from the light. Kiley curled her tail around in front of her and waited patiently.*

rogue drew expertly and quickly. knowing kiley wouldn't be patient for very long. she drew a soft breeze blowing in ruffling kileys main of hair. she drew her with an expert hand making it seem as if kiley were in her wolve form but in a way she looked almost human. she seemed serien and calm. wise and powerful. rogue drew the contrasts of light and dark. made her look beautiful but demonic. when she finished shading in with her fingers she looked at it fully and it stole her breath away.
"oh kiley!"
she exclaimed softly.
"come, have a look see."
she said patting the bed beside her.

*Kiley was excited to see the drawing and in two giant bounds was at the bed. She lept up next to Rogue and looked at the drawing of herself. She had a similar reaction. It was beautiful Kiley just looked at it, too stunned to even wag her tail. The fact that Rogue had been okay enough with her to sketch her was meaningful enough. But the way that she had drawn it was a whole other thing. She wasn't depicted as bloodthirsty or monsterious.....She looked slightly menicing, but beautiful. Kiley rubbed her head against Rogue's arm and looked up at her as she layed down next to her, hoping that she understood how much it ment to her and hoe grateful she was.*

rogue took the nuzzling as kiley had liked the picture. rogue stood by her belief that not all things that were thought normally ugly was REALLY UGLY. you have to look deep inside to see stuff like this. she slipped her hand into kileys fur and rubbed by kileys ears. she didn't know if kiley liked it or not. but kiley had reminded her so much of a dog that she couldn't help it. she laid her head ontop of kileys as a show of hugs and then leaned back against the wall once more content to just sit there and comfort her friend.
"not all things are really thought as ugly and bad ki.it's only simple minded people who think that."

*Kiley sighed and closed her eyes, resting. It was just such a relief to know that Rogue wasn't afraid of her. Kiley stood and lept from the bed and trotted over to the blanket on the hay. She yawned and circld twice before plopping down, leaving the bed for Rogue.*

rogue was a little disgruntled when kiley left for her bed. why had rogue thought kiley would curl up next to her. after tonight rogue would have to get a pet of some kind. not a cat either. mr. jenkins would be her last kitty ever. she wondered what had happened to him. wondered if he still roamed the halls of the school. laying down and putting her hands behind her head she looked up at the ceiling for awhile. she began to softly hum a song.

*Kiley sighed heavly and shut her eyes, listen to Rogue hum. She was exausted...another symptom of the wolfsbane potion. She let her mind wander, from Rogue to Mel, to Mark, to Weston, Jake, Milo, he brother, her mother....but mostly she tohught of how she wanted to help and beat Sentinus. She started to fall asleep.*

rogues mind began to wander as well. soon she forgot about humming and sat there thinking. the feel of her palms going clammy and wet. she didn't know anything. she didn't know what the family was up to. didn't have the slightest idea of where to start of what to do. yeah she had been studying spells to help protect and repel. she even tried to do some dark magic. some spells were better than others but she had tried. it's been a while and she hadn't even heard a word of their wereabouts. she laid there and thought silently about what she could do. maybe it was time to hold another meeting. maybe it was time for her to do some spying.

----The Next Morning-----


Kiley awoke at dawn after her transformation had already occured. She pulled her blanket around her and crossed to the other side of the barn, pulling on her clothes. She glanced out the window at the new light and sighed. After Kiley was dressed she climbed the ladder into the loft and lay down, listening to the few birds that were singing and savoring the smell of the barn. She closed her eyes and hoped that Rogu would be able to sleep in*

rogue continued to sleep. a big fat fly zooming around her upturned nose. she was vaguley aware of hearing something but she was having a strange dream. a dream where giant roses were trying to strangle her. but she was calm and as they tried to do her in. they tickled her. she didn't mind laughing as she died. rogue continued to dream.

*Kiley rolled overonto her side, looking out the barn window out over her land. It was so nice out. She thought of what milo was thinking about....mostly she just worried about him. And jake. She hadn't seen him since a fwe nights before when he had talked about leaving. Kiley covered her face with her arms and groaned*

rogue rolled over flinging her arm oiver her eyes.
"ki whats the matter?"
she asked blocking the sunlight. then added.
"what time is it?"

*Kiley sat up in the hay loft when she heard Rogue speak from down below. There was hay in her hair and her clothes were even more wrinkled than they had been from laying in a pile all night* "Did I wake you up...I'm sorry...." *She called down* "It's um....it's around 7:30, I think." *Kiley didn't answer her first question. The hay rustled as she shifted the position she was sitting in*

rogue raised up on her elbows.
"this has possibly been the earliest i've ever been up before.......but you sounded like you were in pain ki...are you ok?"
she asked squinting up at her friend in the loft.
