*It was very cloudy and would start raining at any moment. Dorien was sitting under a tree, taking advantage of the clouds. He hadn't been able to venture outdoors for at least two weeks due to the sun. He sighed and looked around across the empty yard. He had sent Cecelia home. He had told her it was becaue of the danger, but he had also needed to fix things with Rogue. Dorien hadn't decided how to go about doing that, though. So he just sat outside alone, thinking it over.*

rogue had tried avoiding dorien as much as she could. the last time she had seen him was the day she met cecelia. after they had lunch and ice cream rogue kind of dropped off from them to do her job around kileys place. rogue haddn't bothered spiking her hair today. it was one of those days she had just rolled out of bed due to her being a night freak and all. she found she was having trouble sleeping. the old night mares and throbbing in her leg had come back. feeling a bit grupy today. her mood matched the weather. she decided to walk outside. so what if it rained she could deal with that. she loved playing in the rain and hoped it would soon. stopping by a little creek that made it's way through kileys property rogue dipped her hand in and brought it back shivering. she continued to walk around no destination in mind until she senced not saw him under the tree. how is it he could still continue to have this effect on her. sshe lifted her head and then her eyes sought him out. her steps slowing as she got closer. she wanted to run the other way but couldn't make herself move.

*Dorien had just closed his eyes, thinking, when the wind changed directions and whipped towards him. He immediatly recognized Rogue's scent and went rigid. It was so much harder to resist since he had been away from her for a while. He stood, gracefully but quickly, but couldn't bring himself to walk towards her. Dorien's eyes, black from hunger, flashed in her direction. His slightly defensive position didn't relax* "Hello..." *His voice was slightly uneasy.*

rogues jaw hardened. she could see the look of blood lust in his eyes as the wind whipped around them. she suddenly felt like time had stopped like the worls had stopped. closing her fists in the sides of her robes. she didn't hate him. she wasn't even mad at him anymore. she took a slightly ungraceful step towards him.
"hey..."
she wasn't sure what to say to him.

*Dorien just looked at her for a moment, unsure of what to do. His natural instinct was to, in one graceful movement, step foward and snap her neck and drink her blood before she even knew what had happened. Dorien felt terrible for even thinking it.* "Cecelia's gone...." *He said, his eyes not wavering from her.*

rogues gazed moved from his to the tree just beyond his shoulder. she bit hard on the inside of her cheek to stop from cursing him.
"what do you mean gone?"
hoping nothing had happened to her. taking a deep breath and waiting.

*Dorien continued to gaze at Rogue, even though she wasn't looking at him.* "She decided it was too dangerous here for her. She went back to stay with some family." *Dorien paused and looked out away from her. The wind picked up, blowing her scent at him again. He pinched the bridge of his nose and shut his eyes, trying to keep his self control in check* "Rogue, this isn't safe for you to be here....." *He opened his eyes and looked at her. His dark eyes made it seem like he was much angrier than he really was. He hoped Rogue would listen to her natural sences and shy away from him like most humans did in this sort of situation*


ooc: she should just like....flip out. He deserves it. lol

rogues temper soared. she walked right up to him and poked him hard in the chest.
"you don't own me or this place ok. i'll go where i want to go."
she backed off and started to turn and walk away.
"it's not like you care anyways."
she said clenching and unclenching her fists wanting to puch him so hard.

*Dorien's temper rose as well when she turned and said he didn't care. Faster than he had ever moved around he, Dorien was standing behind her. He reached out, grabbed her arm in his ice cold fist and whipped her around, much harder than he had ment to He gripped her arm in his iron fist. When he was angry, he lost controll.* "Don't you dare say that." *He said, his voice low and dangerous but oddly seductive.* "You don't know what caring is. You don't know."

quicker than she had ever known herself to be she hauled back her fist and tried making contact with his jaw.
"you don't know what caring is you big jerk!"
she yelled tring to hit him back.
"i liked james! i cared about him!"
she screamed at dorien. continuing to try to hit him.
"then i met you! YOU! and of course my stupid arse falls head over heels!"
she ground out.
"i was willing to give him up because of you!"
she backed off and tried punching him in the gut. wanting to hurt him. wanting him to feel some of the pain she felt.
"i didn't lead you on! james and i weren't together dorien."
rogue was out of control now. her short hair going disheviled.
"you lead me on. you and your touches and those looks!"
tears started to stream as she stormed up to him and leveled a fist to his eye.
"i was starting to fall in love with you until i found out you had someone and they were pregnant!"
she was shaking but not from the cold.
"no matter what i do i can't stop them and it hurts. so go be with cecelia dorien and live your happy life. let me be and p**s OFF!"
she yelled and leveled one more hit at him.

lol thats so what i wa thiking when we first started this topic lol.
at least let rogue get the first hit on him or a few.

*Dorien had let go of Rogue's arm, ashamed that he had possibly hurt her. He was suprised he hadn't broken her arm. Every time she punched him, her fist made contact with his hard skin, but of course it didn't hurt him. Her fists were probably killing her. He was, once again, mildly suprised she hadn't broken any fingers. Dorien's anger melted away into an overwhelming sadness.* "I had never ment to hurt you, Rogue......if I could have helped it I would have stayed away from you and Cecelia. I shouldn't have gone near her. I couldn't have stayed away from you." *He wanted to take her in his arms and make her feel better but she had a feeling she wouldn't let him and he didn't know if he could withstand that sort of self inflicted torture.* "I'm sorry....I'll go...." *He really was sorry. Dorien figured if she really did want him gone, he would leave for good. He took a few steps back from her, regretting it almost immediatly*

rogues hand automatically reached out and grabbed his shirt stopping him from going. crying and sobbing freely she held on to him tightly.
"please don't go dorien."
she said holding his shirt tighter.
"i need you."
she wasn't sure what to do. everytime he touched her. everytime she touched him she felt like she was on fire. he stole her breath.
"if not for anything else but as a friend....i can...i can live with that."
she said even though it was true she would torture herself with it. but he had cecelia and she had james now. her eyes begged him.
"if nothing more than friends dorien please."
she said unable to let him go. she was hurting her hands and her arms. she knew she busted a few knuckles from hitting him and it dripped on the grass. she was afraid to say anything else for she might tell him the truth.

*Dorien smelled her blood and it drove him crazy. But that didn't matter. Dorien turned back around to face her. He looked at her, confused and hurt and longing. Thunder cracked over their head and he almost considered leaving again.* "I can't live with just friends..." *Dorien took a step closer and pulled her towards him, holding her gently, afraid of hurting her even more. He leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips. The rain beat hard against his back and he was drenched within seconds but he didn't react. Just kissed Rogue despite his urge to drink her blood. This was more powerful.*

the first touch of his lips were like heaven. it set fire streaming through her viens. her hands gripped his shirt. feeling his muscles contract beneath them. she kissed him back. putting everything she had to give to him what she couldn't tell him. her breathing labored she pressed close to him. the cold was nothing compared to what he did to her. her hands slipped up his chest and clasped around his neck. she didn't want to let go. she begged for this moment to continue forever. rain dripped from her hair. her clothes begining to stick to her body. thunder and lighting streaked and crashed all around them but she didn't care.

*Dorien hated to, but he pulled away from her and reached up to unclasp her hands from his neck. He smiled slightly, his forehead against hers. He wished he could make her understand that he wanted despertly to be close to her, but it was so hard, and it would need to be on his own terms* "I'm sorry...." *He muttered, hoping she would understand how hard this was for him*

OOC: I met a girl once.. Found out a week after meeting her that she had a boyfriend- I was crushed but he lived across town. Than three days ago it was all confusing and stuff and she had to choose between me or her boyfriend.. I got rejected... Love sucks, even on Lumos.

rogue had hated this moment. the moment he would step back and look into her eyes. the moment he could really see she wore her heart on her sleeve for him. she covered some of that emotion by blinking the rain away.
"so am i dorien, so am i."
she knew what she was about to do was stupid even for common sence. dropping her arms to her side she let her emotions show one more time before locking them away. forever. she knew it would be no use. he still had cecelia and she now had james. she would love james and that love would make her happy. squeezing his hand once and turning away she began to walk away.
"just friends dorien, just friends."
she didn't know if he had heard her or her words had faded on the wind. drowned out by the rain withher hands clenched to her sides. tears mingling with the rain. she held her head high. this was going to be tough.

rogues thoughts rang unhappily in her head.

*Dorien didn't move. He stood there, hurt and confusion playing across his face. He had heard her and he didn't really understand, but he wass too suprised to do anything. Dorien let his hands drop to his sides, staying after her. The rain made him appear even more surreal.* "Rogue...." *His voice was broken and quiet. She probably wouldn't be able to hear it due to the rain and wind, but that didn't matter.*

rogues steps faltered as she heard her name. how she wanted to run back to him, but she couldn't. instead she settled on turning and looking into his eyes. her lips blue and her limbs shaking. she knew she should leave before it got deeper but she couldn't make herself leave.

*Dorien wanted to argue with her to get her to stay. But he knew deep down inside that he just wanted her to be safe. And she would never be safe as long as she was near him. Dorien clenched his jaw, trying to hold his tongue, but couldn't resist.* "Don't do this."

"what is it that you don't want me to do dorien?"
rogue asked with bitterness.
"i'm walking away. just what you want right. go be happy dorien. have that life."
she said her anger rising again.

*Dorien threw his head back and laughed bitterly into the rain. What she had said was obviously the wrong thing to say* "Life?" *He said, staring at Rogue, his eyes blazing.* "What life? I haven't had a life in over a century. Happy? The only way that anyone like me could possibly be happy was if we were under a tombstone right now."

rogue stalked up to him. her breathing labored.
"life isn't always breathing and pulses dorien."
rogue ground out betwen gritted teeth.
"life is loving and caring the person who is there for you."
she looked down at the ground.
"life is having someone......special, very special. as for happiness. you won't let yourself be happy."
rogue wanted to smack some feeling into him.

"I don't deserve to be happy." *He spat, taking a step back. Dorien was beginning to revert back to his old ways before he had come back to hogwarts. He was bitter spiteful. DOrien raked his eyes over Rogue's face one more time, copying her and hardening himself. Inside he was screaming. Outside he was hard and cold.* "I don't." *He, once again, turned to go.*

now it was rogues turn to laugh. her voice full of bitterness
"thats right dorien. hide behind that fake front."
she almost yelled to be heard over the storm.
"we both know the real you. you're to busy being hard on yourself to see you DO deserve to be happy. that man might have made you into a vampire. it's not your fault."
she knew he was trying to get her to make him leave. that wasn't going to happen she needed him to much.

*Dorien kept walking, not looking back at her. He was hurt and angry, but above all things, stubborn. He didn't know where he would go...probably somewhere far away.* "Just let it go, Rogue." *he said quietly, the wind whipping his voice in her direction.*

rogue shook her head and turned in the opposite direction. she figured he was heading back to the house and into the basement. she had to get away. she figured sneaking into hogmeade would get her minds off things. it hurt to much to think about dorien.

someone could kidnap her or try to......we could play it by ear?

*Dorien made a sharp turn to his left and took off running towarsd the forest, not caring about capture or anything anymore. He just knew that if he didn't get away soon that he would do something he would really regret.*

rogue looked back to see nothing where they once were nor where he was heading. rogues shoulders slumped as she didn't see him anywhere.
maybe it's for the best he hates me.....
rogue thought and continued to walk to hogsmeade. once again rogue started to cry over dorien.
